The staff for the most part is nice. They often leave 14+ plus kids alone in a class with one teacher. Some of them seem to be inexperienced and overwhelmed by the amount of kids they have. Some are just lazy (according to the people that oversee them). They say in their onboarding book that certain things (like biting and hitting) are not allowed and the biter will be removed until they can control it. If they can’t control it then they will be removed from PLC altogether. This is not the case. They knowingly let the kids bite, scratch, push and hit one another. They are usually repeat offender kids and nothing is ever done. It’s considered child’s play. I was also told that “maybe the other kid doesn’t have siblings at home and they don’t know how to share.” They will send incident reports home (if they even do that) to the kids that have been hurt saying that “friend” hurt them “while playing.” They allow the other children to take food and drinks away from the more mild mannered kids. They also allow the bigger kids in the class to push the smaller ones around. I have witnessed all of this during pick up and drop off times so I can only imagine what is happening when I am not around. So if you’re kid doesn’t defend him or herself don’t bother with them. The place is FILTHY. At around 3ish the teachers sit the trash bags full of diapers outside the door. Instead of having someone come and immediately collect them they are left in the hallways for hours causing the whole place to STINK. They don’t clean the classrooms very well. Lori and Caren the director just makes excuses for them. Them having too much to do and couldn’t properly clean or even insinuating that she was too lazy to do it. As if that is ok.They have had a very nasty gnat infestation for months. Myself along with several other parents have complained about it and was told “yeah, we have been telling them to clean better” and that was it. Nothing about what is going to be done about it. The children’s drinking cups are kept out and the gnats are allowed to fly, land and do whatever else they want to the cups and then given to our children. After a few complaints they finally covered the cups with paper towels but that didn’t rectify the situation.Since COVID-19 they parents are not even allowed into the building anymore. If they were that nasty while we could be there free to see, just imagine how nasty they are now.I’ve seen a few of the parents complaining about their children being bitten. Bug repellent is applied in the morning by the parents and it is supposed to be applied in the afternoon by the staff.Honestly, I’m starting to think it’s those nasty gnats biting the kids and they aren’t doing anything about it. They were the big black kind. Not your typical fruit fly. Either way... it’s disgusting.

Ill admit, I was a bit unsure about sending my 3 year old and 9 month old to Promiseland Learning Center, but I have to say Ive been pleasantly satisfied with them in the last 3 months our kids have been there. Everyday when I pick up my kids from a long day of school, they are happy. I can tell that theyve had fun and are well taken care of. Ms. Caren (director) and Ms. Sal (assistant director) are just amazing! They go above and beyond to make sure mine and my kids needs are met. Recently, my daughter had an allergic reaction while she was at school and they handled the situation per protocol and to my satisfaction. They showed a lot of concern and support for finding the root cause of her reaction and have proactively revisited their policies to make the school safer for my child and others. I am very pleased with the management of the daycare. All the teachers and floaters have also demonstrated great care for my kids and are loving towards them. They are respectful of my requests and provide good communication on my childrens care.Pros: Great staff/management, clean facility, kids are happy there, very reasonable rates with discountsCons: Teacher turnover high, ratio too high - 15 students to 1 teacher for 3 year old class, Learning topics will vary based on what teacher you get

I have heard great things about this daycare until I actual tried working with them I have ccms and have been on the waiting list for an entire YEAR they told me I am not a priority as to private payers so my child will have to sit on the wait list I am a single parent of 2 I can not afford to pay daycare fees fully out of pocket ccms is a BIG help for me and to push my child back and give others priority over mines is totally disturbing when I mentioned to the director how I felt they were unprofessional and unorganized due to staff telling me monthly different things as to when my child will be able to start is very frustrating the director hung up in my face. Its not fair to give me the run around when my options for childcare is limited.

We had our little one go here. As nice as the director is, the staff of super understaffed. The place is filthy. I picked her up and there were flies in the classroom and you could smell the trash cans from the entrance. She got hand foot mouth 3 times in less then 8 months. They never changed her diaper in a timely manner. I had to take her to the dr 4 times for diaper rashes. Twice they turned into 2nd degree burns. She was chronically sick for 3 months. We finally pulled her out and she’s been at the new daycare for 6 months and hasn’t been sick once.

Our child went here from age 3.5 to 4.5 in 2014/15. All she learned was bad manners and to be ashamed of her body. The teachers were understaffed and stessed out and the turnover was crazy. 3 teachers quit just in her classrooms. Often I would drop her off to one teacher watching 18+ preschoolers. They watched television daily. Promiseland was presented as a non- religious school, but I was surprised when I learned they made her participate in prayer before she could eat lunch. To eliborate on the body shaming... She was told repeatedly, loudly and in front of all her peers to pull up her pants, Nobody wants to see that She was humilated and said the other kids would copy the teacher saying this and all laugh at her. This happened several times, whenever she wore jeans and I had no idea until my daughter started repeating it about herself and I asked questions. Humiliating a 3 year old bc her jeans dont stay up is over the line. They shouldve helped her respectfully and informed me if it was such a problem. She still hates wearing jeans and is scared of them falling down even a little bit. There were no community events or they were at unreasonable times (like 9am on a Thursday) and I never really met any of the other parents. The facility was really new, nice and clean and she never got sick while attending there. The office staff was great but I feel like the teachers had a didderent impression. And they handle accidents, injuries, medications, check outs, etc very well. All in all though, I still regret sending her to Promiseland and wish we had gone elsewhere.
