People from 10th Planet Austin are my extended family. I’m beyond blessed to have top notch and hardworking coaches who dedicate themselves into the cause of building champions. Not only they push me during practice and mold me into a better fighter, they also make me a better person. They are cut throat leaders who lead by examples. I love my team and my coaches.

Always a fun place to train if youre looking a gym to train for the first time its definitely a place to start. Every coach is amazing at what they do and also very welcoming. You may run in to a UFC or other pro martial artists while training here!

Kids can start as early as 4 years old.The women’s team is very big compared to most schools!You never know who you’ll see at 10PATX. Just last week the Demetrius Johnson taught our wrestling class. I was in town for a work conference and called to see if I could drop in for class. They were doing 10 rounds that evening. After some functional stretching the instructor Curtis showed a really applicable pathway to smashing lockdown to leg drag position & then options to mount or truck position. Everyone was very friendly. There was a room full of killers, that made for some great rounds. I went to this school 3 or 4 years ago and took a private. The instructor actually remembered my face. That is unbelievable.The facility is amazing. Everything in there is top quality. They have a huge mat space and the mats are extremely high quality which means a lot when you have older knees, back & neck. The changing room is clean, and has a shower in it. To wrap this up, high level instruction, top quality facilities and a cool vibe with the students.

I do train someone else in Austin but it’s super easy to support other academies when they are lead by a great coach.they have a beautiful Academy, great instructors and a great group of martial artist. You can’t go wrong training here. Thanks Curtis for have another place I can train and putting on events that benefit the greater good of Austin. ☝🏽👌🏽

I have been attending for about a year. The students and teachers are very warm, welcoming, and eager to help others succeed. There is a real team spirit here that I’ve never experienced anywhere else. The technique is solid, and I feel like I am getting solid technical training every day. Also, this is one of the cleanest gyms I’ve ever trained at in my life. I’m so blessed to have found this place. The people here are like family, and they have the best mats ever. I’m hooked ;-) 10 stars!

-Knowledgeable Instructors-Well kept facilities.-Approachable staff.Highly recommend. Youll appreciate all the teachers here. The classes I have taken, taught by Curtis, Priscilla, Manny, Cody, Andrew, Gabe, and Jacob made me feel like I am in trustworthy hands.

The environment in the gym was very welcoming from the moment we walked in. The coaches are really supportive and helpful too. Restrooms, floors, and mats are kept impeccably clean. I honestly can’t imagine training anywhere else!

Love this place. Top notch facility with classes around the clock. Wrestling everyday. Not a lot of places can claim that. No gi everyday. Striking everyday. This place is legit for hobbyists all the way to the most serious competitors.

Our family joined 10th planet about 4 months ago, my 2 kiddos, hubby and I.. no previous experience AT ALL in any form of MMA. We are so impressed at how far we have come in just a few months! This is one of my favorite places to be. If youve trained juijitsu for years or are just starting out youll find a welcome community here. Juijitsu is mentally and physically challenging, and has helped me maintain and meet fitness goal. Ladies - weve got a badass girls team! This is one of the few places Ive trained where I get to work with other great women frequently. This is by no means the closest gym to me, some days it can take an hour each way but its worth it.

While in Austin for my friends wedding, I found myself staying at a hotel close to 10th Planets new location! Top of the line facility/staff and people rolling were extremely gracious yet killer!!! It made my first No Gi experience very humbling and left me very inspired. Thank you all so much! I hope I get to visit again sometime.

I wasnt greeted properly i mostly went for their striking program but the instuctor Cody didnt seem to know what he was talking about dont really recommend the striking here ive been to thailand and have seen real Muay thai and whatever they are teaching there isnt it!👎

Ive been training at 10th Planet since 2016. Here Ive found an awesome support group and a vast group of team mates of all levels to train with and learn from. Curtis and Priscilla are very knowledgeable and invested in every person that walks through their doors. They take the time to train and coach every student no matter their rank. Training at 10th Planet has expanded my knowledge and experience. I love that they bring in high level competitors to teach seminars on a regular basis. Ive had the opportunity to learn techniques from many 10P black belts and other high-level MMA competitors like Demetrius Johnson and Rafael Lovato Jr. among others. What I respect and love most about this crew is how they all show up to cheer for you at every competition. I love Jiu Jitsu and no matter what life throws at me, I can count on my 10P family to keep me sharp!

Solid school with good instructors. The 10p system takes some time to start to understand, but its worth putting the reps in.

I’ve been coming to 10th Planet for a little over 2 months now after leaving my previous gym in another state. I’m very pleased with my decision to come to 10PATX as the atmosphere and facility are top notch. The gym is very focused on drilling and technique which I find very helpful. All the members are very respectful as well. Come roll with us!

This place saved my life .——— I wrote that 7 months ago and I still feel the same way. With as wonderful as Austin is I found myself here without a community until I started at 10th planet. These people are family to me. Jiujitsu here allows me to constantly have goals in front of me, a purpose to work towards- not just in striving to excel in the technique , but to learn to humble myself, support my teammates in their victories and losses even when the victory is won against myself. It’s opened up a community nation wide for me as well when I’ve traveled . This particular gym is the cleanest I have seen . It’s a very nice facility with showers and much open mat space. And now it offers The standing arts of MMA as well under the same price and same roof. Curtis and Priss truly want to provide the best for the members. It’s obvious while it is a money making business, it is not all about the money for them. The coaches want to truly see you improve. One of my favorite aspects about the head coach ( Curtis) is if you are late or have to leave early you are not shamed. The coaches don’t get all offended. They understand we have lives and jobs, kids for some. They just want you there learning and growing as much as possible. Different coaches have different teaching styles, so if you come to a first class and it’s not you preference of teaching style, try another. As you start to understand the technique more you’ll see you can get something out of every class. See you there.

Ive practiced jiu jitsu at several different schools and this is among the best.1. The instruction is on point. Curtis is clearly passionate and an expert at what he does. Hes able to articulate in such a way that makes it easy for beginners to learn.2. The culture is great. Everyone is welcoming and willing to help.3. Its in a really great space and location. Mat space is limited at most jiu jitsu schools, but here there is plenty. It is conveniently located in South Central Austin.4. Kids program is dope. I once saw a 10 year old kid confidently and professionally show a series of moves to a group of adults. Speaks volumes to the way these kids are being developed on and off the mats.5. Class schedule is huge with classes all throughout the day and evening.6. Black Swan Yoga comes with the membership.Definitely check this place out!

The training has been wonderful for my seven-year-old son’s growing mental and physical abilities. The coaches and staff are excellent and the facility is new, large and in charge.10th Planet Jiu Jitsu is a no-gi martial arts system that was designed, in Eddie Bravos words, “specifically for the street, mixed marital arts competition and no-gi grappling tournaments”My limited understanding is that the skills learned will translate better to real world situations because students learn to use over-hooks, under-hooks and clinching rather than latching onto an opponent’s gi collar or wizard sleeve to set up submissions.Even though the kids classes are fun, jiu jitsu training should not be interpreted in any way as a baby-sitting program. Prepare your kids to listen/focus while having fun learning the vital life skills that 10th Planet Jiu Jitsu offers.

I walked into 10patx almost two years ago and literally felt at home from day one. Everyone was very kind and helpful. It took a bit to understand the vast vocabulary but it started to retain quicker than expected. If you’re looking for a place to start your jiujitsu journey there is nowhere better than 10patx. If you are new to the area and looking for a good place to train, our team will challenge you and test your skills daily.

Ive been to 10th Planet abroad and Ive been very impressed, but in particular the 10th Planet Austin leadership is especially awesome. Curtis Hembroff is a serious asset to any organization simply from his professionalism, but coming from one of the less coachable people, hes an awesome and patient jiu jitsu instructor. . Dont make the mistake of missing out on the metamorphasis and evolution of Onnit and 10th Planet combined :)
