Our children have attended this school for 4 years, and we could not ask for a better community. The children remain in the same classroom for 3 years (PK3-K, 1st-3rd, 4th-6th) and it gives them such a sense of connection that they thrive beyond all my hopes.Academically, they are able to work on whichever level is best for them instead of having to stay on level with their entire class. Its such a wonderful personalized learning environment that is not typically found in schools today.

Absolutely beautiful school with wonderful teachers, but the leadership is a problem. The founder oftentimes often brags that its the most diverse school in Austin, but discriminates against neurodiverse students.Maybe a good choice if your kiddo has very basic needs, but if they need a 504 or IEP. If academics are important to you, skip this school. They will be very behind upon leaving. We transitioned our child to a more difficult school and after a year of catching up, hes on grade level and thriving, reading hard works of literature, and doing math he wouldnt have been taught for several more years at Magnolia. Its a leadership issue, not a teacher issue.

This school did not prepare my older kids for middle school whatsoever. Along the way (5 years) we had many loving teachers that were amazing, however when voiced concern about a teacher(who is no longer there) not teaching, allowing her students to do nothing but science experiments on the deck, nothing was done. One whole year lost that we will never get back unless we repeat. Please be mindful of what is important to you and your childs future. If you want a loving place of learning, this is for you, though the bubble will not prepare them. It was best for the students they not add 7th and 8th grade, though I was sad at the time. My 8 year olds have attended this school since the age of 4. We dont have any other school experience to compare it to. They both love their school and are getting a good education. We are looking forward to the start of the new school year and getting started on our 3rd grade year.The community is welcoming, diverse, and connected. Our family enjoys the friends we have made here.The administration is caring, hardworking and driven to see this school and the Montessori philosophy serve the community.If you want to join our school, please help by volunteering as much as your family can spare the energy. It takes lots of hands and parental involvement to facilitate the success of any community.

Magnolia has being a beautiful blessing for my lil family! Such a wonderful and caring environment for our children. We are proud to be part of this amazing community!

My kids are part of the inaugural class here. I am so happy to have found such a great alternative to AISD. My kids love it! Cant wait to get a permanent building (were in portables for now) and keep discovering new ways to make it even better!

Our family is so, so lucky to have this school nearby with such amazing staff and families. Super diverse, super welcoming, and the teachers go above and beyond to ensure that our two boys are thriving!
