When I was looking for a preschool for my son Google reviews were crucial so Im happy to share that we had a great experience at NAMS. Our 2 year old son was there for most of 2021, and I wish it couldve been longer! He grew so much in that time, and even with the difficulties of COVID it make me so happy to see him participating and learning. Miss Laurie is just awesome, my LO still asks for her, she really helped him adjust to going to school and gave him all the extra support he needed. It was clear he was well cared for there, and I really appreciated their COVID safety... while most friends and coworkers have had regular closures of their daycare or preschool because of COVID we did not have a single case or closure while we were at NAMS. I loved all the art he brought home and all the different activities he did. It was clear he was learning and having fun. Definitely recommend, you can feel comfortable having your child here.

I absolutely recommend NAMS. My LO has learned so much and has grown in such a short time period. The teachers really care about the kids well being, and are very kind. They teach kids responsibilities and help them become more independent.

NAMS has been great to work with. The teachers are wonderful and really care about the kids. This was the first place that my child has been in childcare, and they patiently helped him adjust to being away from home. I feel safe and happy trustIng my child to their care. The school is also conveniently located near the library and a park, which is a nice bonus. The classrooms were recently renovated, and are beautiful and child-friendly. I’m looking forward to spending several more years with them.

We were extremely grateful to find this school. Our son previously hated going to daycare, but after we enrolled him in NAMS we saw a huge difference. He loved going to school to be around his friends and teachers. We could tell he really enjoyed his interactions with everyone, and he was being kept mentally engaged. We didnt just see improvements in his reading, writing, and math but also his social skills. We had experienced issues with high staff turn over at other schools, but that was never a problem here. If you live in the area and arent able to look after your child during the day, they will be in excellent hands here.

When I began my search for a place to put my first son during the day, I visited multiple facilities and spoke with many people. I stumbled into NAMS and immediately felt this was the place for him. I went on to have 2 more children and placed them both in NAMS. With all 3 boys in this school, we spent almost 10 years total here. They provide a nurturing, family-like environment where the children can feel safe and thrive. All of my boys went through kindergarten and entered into first grade ahead of their peers. They were able to learn at their pace and focus on what interested them which made the experience enjoyable for them. They were introduced to cultures that they were not exposed to at home, which was important to me and fun for them. We love NAMS and always felt they were an extension of our family.

My husband and I have been so happy with the progress we have seen our son make since he has been at North Austin Montessori School. It has been such a joy to pick him up from school and hear from the teacher(s) what he accomplished that day and then see it happen again at home. I would recommend this school to anyone as they have completely surpassed my expectations. The teachers are passionate about the Montessori method of teaching and are wonderful at individualizing lessons for each child. Besides the basic teachings that I have witnessed, our son has displayed surprising manners. Other people in our sons life have commented on how well behaved and intelligent he is at his young age. The teachers make sure that we are aware that we are his first teachers, but we give most of the credit to the amazing teachers/staff at this school. We will be keeping him in this program for 3-4 more years and be sending our next son when he is old enough.Update 3/27/13: We have both of our sons at NAMS now. They both love it and we are so impressed with how they have developed through the Montessori instruction. The teachers are so loving and caring and we are blessed that they play such a big roles in our childrens lives. The open house and parent - teacher conferences really help us understand all that our sons are capable of and it is always wonderful to witness. The staff is always readily available for discussion about our children and any of our concerns. They offer great advise and guidance with the common trials and tribulations of raising a 2 and 4 year old. I would highly recommend North Austin Montessori School to anyone with young children and who are seeking alternatives to a typical day care. I couldnt be happier about the choice we made in sending our children to this school.

My 2 years old son has spent time in NAMS for more than 1 year now so I am happy to share our experience there. About time!I cant explain how much we are happy in this Montessori preschool (maybe by giving 6 stars?).If you are looking for a very fancy and big place, with all the technological tools for monitoring your little one, so you might as well look elsewhere. But, if you are looking for a team totally dedicated to your child, who really cares about their wellbeing, who provides high education and rules, in a warm loving environment, then, look no further (well, actually I would prefer you look elsewhere and then, I would be sure that NAMS would stay this small family home :-)We experimented two other preschools anf it is nothing to compare when I see my baby boy happiness. Thanks a lot Mrs Pereira and Tammy to provide such high standards. And a big shout out to the wonderful Miss Alex, Miss Kass, and Miss Sita who make our day so easy and our toddler so happy!I look forward to seeing our next achievements altogether!

My daughter started attending NAMS when she was 3. We saw immediate improvement in her communication, manners, and behavior. She is now 5 and loves her school, her environment and her teachers. My son just started attending last month, he is now 15 months old and we saw similar results. He is using more words, already holding a spoon correctly, and doing great socially. We looked at many school before choosing NAMS. We have been pleased with the education, and caring that both of my children receive. The children gain independent thinking and their creative habits are encouraged. I plan to keep both of my children here through first grade. I love knowing that my children are getting the education, and love they need while I am at work.I highly recommend Montessori and especially North Austin Montessori School. My only feedback for full time working parents is the amount of time they have off during the year.

Its time NAMS got a recent review! Ill just start by saying we love North Austin Montessori School! My oldest started when she had just turned three and attended for 2.5 years. She graduated fully able to read, write, count past 100, and do single digit addition. She was so advanced, she was bored in Kindergarten! My youngest is in the toddler program now and already knows all the letters, numbers up to 10 in English and Spanish, all primary colors, all basic shapes, and tons of nursery rhymes. Hes so happy and loves Miss Alex! Sure, NAMS doesnt have all the bells and whistles of some other schools but they are committed to the kids learning and growth in the true Montessori way. I feel like we get a bargain for what we pay in tuition! Thank you to the teachers at NAMS!

We put our daughter here...based on the online reviews...only to realise this is more like a daycare than a montessori school. The teacher was a wonderful and caring but not a Montessori trained teacher. Parents please read the reviews with caution.

Both my sons have attended NAMS and since my oldest sons first year, in 2005, the school administration (the director and the teachers) has taken a sincere interest in their well-being and in our family as a whole. Although the boys both have moved on to private elementary school, the impact of their early years remains an integral part of who they are. Their ability to successfully interact socially and also take responsibility for their actions is a direct result of their exposure to NAMS and the Montessori method. The boys grew both academically and as human beings, as they were nurtured and encouraged, stimulated and challenged. We had many happy times at NAMS, from community-potlucks, birthdays, and open houses where the children demonstrated their progress to gardening, yet there was always time made for concerns or for a pleasant conversation. Our family is grateful for the growth, love and nurturing my boys received during our years in the NAMS community.

Our oldest daughter has been attending NAMS for two years and she will begin her kindergarten year there this fall. She is a bit reserved by nature, so starting at NAMS at age three was very helpful to developing her language, self confidence and social skills. My youngest just completed her first year in the toddler room and is moving to the primary class for the fall. Again, it has been nothing but a lovely experience. Ms. Betty, Ms. Nipa, Ms. Brittany and Ms. Bethany are an integral part of our lives, and we are grateful for their excellent guidance and nurturing. The leadership at the school is top rate, as well. All in all, it is a very personal, family like setting. If you believe strongly in the Montessori Method, you wont be disappointed by your childs development here. The only challenge is the amount of time off during the year. That can be tough for working parents. However, its like anything... you figure it out. I would and do recommend NAMS.

Our family was at North Austin Montessori School for 2 years and our children not only learned their primary skills but also gained emotional intelligence. With loving and knowledgeable teachers NAMS has provided them a very positive school experience. It was a great start for their school career and the lessons learned at NAMS will serve them the rest of their lives. My family and I sincerely appreciate everyone there!!

My child went to NAMS for almost 5 years...starting from the age of 18 months. Needless to say, we loved the school and would recommend NAMS to any parent looking for a good, quality Montessori school. NAMS is very dedicated to the Montessori method. NAMS is AMI Accredited and the teachers are Montessori trained.Attending NAMS over the years has given my son the necessary skills to excel in life. I have noticed a boost in his self-confidence and concentration. He is well-behaved in social situations and shows respect for others. NAMS has provided a strong development foundation for my child.Academically, NAMS provides a excellent basis for education success… now and for the future. My child was learning his numbers and ABCs long before my friends kids were. But its not all about the ABCs. NAMS also teaches children how to be independent and the important life skills needed to order to succeed.I am forever grateful to NAMS for provided a loving, supportative environment for our son.

I was first introduced to NAMS in 2002 when I was searching for a school for my 2 yr old daughter. After searching thru several schools I decided to enroll my daughter in the NAMS program and I immediately saw a change in my child; her attention span grew longer, she was participating in class and her social skills improved trememdously. My daughter was enrolled from age 2yrs up until Kindergarten and we were very happy with the schools performance. In 2007 I was once again searching for a school for my son and immediately called NAMS to enroll my son into their school program. I soon saw the same results with my son and he still is currently enrolled in the NAMS program and we could not be happier with the schoool and his performance. I highly recommend NAMS to anyone who is looking for a great learning atmospehere for their children.
