It is disheartening to read the previous reviews. I had the opportunity to take a PMP class. The instructor was amazing. The materials he provided were invaluable. There is no way I would have been prepared for the certification exam without the level of support I was offered via this class. I found the staff accommodating and approachable. Information and expectations were clearly explained. I found the class size to be a good fit. Each class was engaging and thoughtful in its approach. I had a good experience.

Michael Brown, owner of Consulting Solutions Network of Austin, TX tries to pass himself off as a good Christian businessman. However, this is merely a veneer for a deeply greedy and incompetent liar.He makes promises on his website of helping his students with job placement activities, yet makes excuses and postpones meetings repeatedly, making it very difficult to get any help. Also, he is in the office less than half the time and purposely makes it very difficult to attain the help that he promised when he was taking your, Austin Citys, or the federal governments $7000+ for his shoddy classes. He only cares about those who are thinking about giving him tuition, not the ones who already have paid tuition. He left me sitting in his office for an extended period during a scheduled meeting so he could scam two other people into taking his classes. He even admitted when he returned to our meeting that new customers were more important than ones who have already paid. He actually said that. The communication between Michael Brown, professors (a term I use lightly, more like dropouts) and other administrators is very poor. Whenever a problem happens, its not handled promptly, professionally or properly. Any effort Michael Brown puts in is half assed, cheaply and lazily done, drastically reducing the quality of the customers educational experience. He recently had his complete staff quit on him because they hadnt received raises in the 8 and 4 years they had worked there, respectively. He wouldnt allow them to take vacation time that they had earned. He also broke the law by not paying time and a half for his workers overtime hours. The same government agency (Texas Workforce Commission) who is bound to uphold these overtime laws are the same ones who refuse to take Consulting Solutions off of their class offerings list, even though they know Michael Browns program is no good. Some classes he is offering are outright obsolete, yet he continues to sale false promises to desperate Austin area citizens in hopes of bettering their job prospects after taking the low quality classes at Consulting Solutions. The Java program is two versions behind and no plans to upgrade to the more current Java version 9.I have presented only a portion of the myriad problems Ive experienced at this terrible school. Please do yourself a favor and DO NOT TAKE CLASSES FROM CONSULTING SOLUTIONS NETWORK OR DO BUSINESS WITH MICHAEL BROWN.

First off, I worked for a company that put out fake reviews by the competition. Companies have entire teams dedicated to this. There are several coding schools in the area. So, there is absolutely reason to believe his competition might be leaving these reviews.Secondly, I am in his Java class and just finished SQL. Never once, have I seen his wife act anything, but sweet. I did learn about his family which I found to be lovely. He has always been helpful, accommodating, and wants others to truly succeed based on the most in-demand technical skill sets in the workplace. Now, I will say based on his background that he values hard work. He is most helpful to the people that put in the hardest work. He also, hires professors that do the same. This includes going out of your way to ask questions, answer questions, do the reading, finish your homework and have thought provoking questions to bring BEFORE class. He also, shows up at the networking events to help you get a job. So, with a little elbow grease and hard work you get everything you earned.Third, I went to Syracuse and got a B.S. in finance and small business management with a minor in economics. I started my own business living in a van that ultimately made 3k a day. I lived the dream and traded on the desk of a professional hedge fund next to real Wall St. professional veterans with unlimited capital and an ongoing 17 year relationship with Goldman Sachs. Do you think anyone cares? The answer sadly is no. Degrees have been ever saturating the market. However, now that Im taking SQL, NoSQL, and Java and put it on my LinkedIn Im getting calls from all over. Companies want in demand technical skills. Michael offers these at a very affordable rate, works with the state to get people even more opportunity and hires some of the most interesting professors that like Mike also, expect you to earn it.Just to get a little more flavor: My professor has his MBA from UT, and has been a professional programmer for 25+ years. The guy sitting next to me wrote the code for major financial institutions across the world. Some real smart people that have earned their place in the world work here.Mediocrity is contagious -Robert A.
