I just finished my externship as RDA from CHCP and I wanted to just give a HUGE SHOUT OUT to my instructor Mrs.Reyes for her AMAZING instruction and guidance as I started the journey towards my new career!Mrs. Reyes truly shows her passion and excitement for dental in her lectures and guidance during hands on activity! She is also the first and only instructor Ive ever had that still currently works in the field they teach so I feel very fortunate to have the knowledge and skills set foundation Mrs. Reyes helped us build as I entered the field. She was able to not only teach the curriculum but add even more knowledge from first hand PRESENT DAY experience! Having just a little of that extra knowledge has paid off in many ways!SO AGAIN AND ALWAYS -THANK YOU MRS. REYES!! YOURE TRULY THE BEST!

This review is for my former teacher Ms.Reyes. Ms.Reyes is very very good at what she does. She thought me everything I know in the dental field. I was taught good by her that just 1 week in my externship they wanted to hire me. Thank you so much Ms.Reyes for always pushing me to do better. Thank you for all the support and for answering my late night messages whenever I needed help with my school work. To whoever is doubting on taking the DA course I highly recommend it you’re not going to regret it.

This school is the best school that I have ever been to. If you want a career in the medical field in Texas, then this is the school that you should go to to further your education. The career services at this campus is awesome! We recently been introduced to CommUnity Care through career services and they provided a lot of useful information that I would think about if I wanted to work there. They even provided early admission for our resumes, which career services helps make any corrections that may be needed. I enjoy learning from this school and if I want to further my medical education, I would do so here.

Being apart of the medical assistant program has been a great contribution to my life. I have learned so much from all my instructors and staff members. Unfortunately, during the first month of the program the week before finals my mother had passed away and it was the most devastating thing that has happened in my life. I honestly believe I was going to quit the program, but my instructor Ms. Lopez was so kind and willing to help me. She helped me stay in the program by reaching out to me and showing me kindness and I was able to finish the first month of the program. She passed on another instructor to me and let me tell you he has been awesome! Mr. Kevin is the most dedicated and nicest person youll meet. He was very understanding and kind of my situation and honestly if it was not for him I would not be here today. I will always be so thankful of Mr. Kevins kindness and his instruction in helping me finish at the College of Health Care Professions. There are good and bad in our lives, but dont let that stop you from obtaining your goals and dreams! There will always be someone to help and guide you along the way, do not forget that.

I have nothing but good things to say about this place. From the beginning of me signing up to now being in a 3rd Module of a Medical Assistant program, the communication has exceeded my expectations, the staff and teachers have been nothing but kind, caring and have kind of become like family. Never a frown from anyone, there is always a friendly and welcoming environment. Dont get me wrong, you have to put in the work to succeed but it almost doesnt even seem like work when youre here. Every instructor I have had so far has taught me so much in their own way and has given me so many tools and techniques to doing things right the first time with this profession. Ms. Lopez, Ms. Allen and Ms. Allie have been a blast so far. They make learning fun. I dont get anxiety driving to or walking into this place at all. I wish CHCP was around or that I knew about this school my first time attempting college. Things could have been so different. Ive wanted to give up a handful of times already, but I know every time I want to give up I shoot Mrs. Lopez a text and she stays on the phone talking me off that quitting ledge. Fantastic school with great staff. All of my instructors were knowledgeable and easy to learn from. If I ever had to bring an issue to their attention they were quick to address it. They also were understanding and worked closely with me when I was diagnosed with cancer and had to go through treatments halfway through the course.I recently finished their MCB (medical coding and billing) course with a NRCCS certification. This isnt a traditional spring/summer/fall education style. Its a 10 month long, rotating curriculum divided into modules, or mods, and ending in a 205 hour Externship. Each mod is a month long, covering three or four classes per month. The first month of the ten is always the same - some basic, intro stuff to get students off on a solid start. Months two through seven will be in different orders depending on when you start in the year. They cover a broad range of topics like insurance, various computer skills, electronic health/medical records, various coding systems (CPT, ICD, HCPCS), and general medical office skills. If you need it to work as a MCB specialist, its in the course. This course culminates in the 205 hour externship, which is kinda like a really long interview where you get to apply the book smarts in a live setting. My program director did an excellent job placing me in the externship. I loved the place assigned to me, and was hired full time at acceptable pay, with benefits.

I graduated from the DMS program in 2019 and I have nothing but good to say about my experience. It is a tough program, but the instructors prepared me well. I had a very good idea of what to expect when I started my clinical rotation. I was lucky to rotate through 4 vastly different facilities which gave me great experience and an idea of what type of workflow / types of exams I did and did not enjoy. I felt that they placed each of us carefully and with our best interest in mind. The class material and projects are well catered to what we use in the field. They made sure we had a solid foundation from the beginning of normal findings / appearance so that when we started building onto that and look at abnormal- it stood out like a sore thumb. Even when we were in the harder classes (like OB 1&2)- they were taught so well. There were practical projects assigned and the material was organized in such a thought out matter. I have great study tools from the assignments in each subject that came in handy for my registries-and more material was always available. Just ask. I did and received more even after I graduated. Scanning in lab was highly stressed too- DUH... The feedback was sometimes disheartening. Many times I thought I turned in a perfect scan and it would come back picked apart- BUT that only made me pay way more attention to what image I was taking and why I was taking it. It was honest and much needed feedback. There was never a time that I asked for help and did not receive it. Even if I could not find a patient to scan- they would find one. Whatever I was struggling in, even if simple- I never felt ashamed asking for assistance. It was above and beyond my expectations. I had help with my resume from career services and it was even fine tuned by one of the instructors after. I had great interview advice and scanning opportunities / tutoring even after I graduated. 5 of us walked for graduation but our class stood out for sure - With Mrs. Christi cheering and holding up homemade posters for each of us while we were on stage. It was SPECTACULAR! I interviewed with one of my previous clinical sites not long after graduation and got hired on. They really do want the best for each student and I am truly thankful for all the labor and support each instructor provided.

I’m a junior at CHCP for DMS program. The instructors are great. I feel like they help us in any way possible to succeed. It’s a hard field but I enjoy what I am learning as a student. Other instructors for other programs are down to earth as well. Graduation is near and I’m happy that I chose this school and program. 👍🏼

I am not one to EVER write a review. But during this pandemic CHCP really moved quickly and effortlessly in getting us all prepared for online schooling. I had a great experience so far from the time I first came through the door just wanting to look around to being one month from graduating. I loved my instructs and one in particular (Ms. Allen) really motivated me and kept me going. I cannot wait to bring what I learned as an MA to the real world and hoping to take my career a step further in the health care world. Thank you CHCP.

CHCP is an excellent school that provides their students with the tools they need to make a future in the medical field of their choosing. I recently graduated from the Dental Assistant program. The knowledge and skills this program, and it’s amazing teachers Ms. Jackson and Ms. Reyes have given me to succeed in the dental office is unmatched. The Director of the DA program, Ms. Jackson and her wonderful co-teacher Ms. Reyes put a personal twist on teaching that shows you as a student that they love the subject they teach and that they care about the students, as a whole and as individuals.

Where do I even start!? CHCP has been a blessing since day one, my instructors Jennifer Terry and Michelle Holmin are super hero’s in my book. They are more than knowledgeable about what they do. They want you to succeed more than anything and they will stop at nothing until you do. I feel at home when I’m at school and I’m so sad we’re not able to attend class during this pandemic. With that being said, don’t think because we’re doing everything online they aren’t able to make it happen. This has been a learning experience for us all. I have more respect for my instructors than I ever had before. I’m so glad I chose the Surgical Technology program with CHCP.If you are considering this program, look no further! CHCP is the right choice for you, believe me on this!

CHCP s transition to remote learning in my Blended CMA course was extremely smooth. My instructor Ms. Allen is very helpful with providing video links and other virtual tools to ensure we learn our necessary skills despite being in the classroom. She also allows interaction throughout class so it is not all lecture. Ms. Allen makes webinar conferences enjoyable so that you dont feel like your being yelled at by youre computer the entire time. I really enjoy my courses at the College of Healthcare Professions. As I go on to complete my last mod and extern-ship at this institution I must rave about how seamlessly the remote schooling transition has gone. Despite the various challenges and shortcomings the arose with classroom displacement the delivery of information was superb. Not once did I feel that the quality of learning was affected by the new virtual learning platform. Ms. Allen my last instructor aided immensely in providing innovative alternatives to complete competencies and ensure all necessary information was received and understood. Overall I have enjoyed my experience here at the College of Health Care Professions and will continue to recommend this institution to whoever is interested in quality medical certification programs.

And the staff at the school helps you with any need they can take care of. And you even meet new people and can become very close with some.

Love this school! I graduated 2018 from the DMS program, and for the two years I attended, I had the best experience. Sandra Granados, the program director, is so knowledgeable, patient and kind.
