What an amazing school and amazing instructors! They really do care about you and your success as an MA. It is challenging but it is worth it in the end. You meet awesome people who have the same goals as you and the friendships you make along the way are long lasting!

Giving this school and location a 5 star rating. After researching the options for MA programs I decided to go with this choice and I’m glad I did. I was a convenient location, affordable program that left me with 0 debt, short program length with only 1-2 classes a week. I loved the flexibility of this program also had very knowledgeable and hands on instructors at this location. Program began around COVID but we were always using precautions when having class in person and equal amount of lecture learning and hands on learning.

Some people don’t usually have patience or time to deal with their students but I know that in this school they are willing to give you that and more.

First of all, they have the best pricing to complete a course “debt-free” 😊 I’m going to school full time hand in hand with getting my MA course so this is a perfect chance to get myself certified! They also accept payment plan. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and helpful. They are willing to work with you to make sure you understand the material and get as much hands on experience as possible. They also give you tips in which you should expect at your externship which I really love!!

I decided to go here after changing my mind on my career options. I was super nervous during the beginning, but the instructors were quick to calm me down and help me out. They were willing to work with people one on one as well as teaching us to work in different groups. They talked about personal experiences and things that we might experience when we got out into the field which are more accurate than I thought they would be. They also helped me find a place for my internship AND a job after I passed the exam. And when covid all started they Immediately started making us wear face masks, sanitizing and virtual classes to take the proper precautions! 10/10 would recommend this school! I’ve been a pediatrics MA cross training for family medicine for about half of a year, I got hired only a month after passing the exam and finals thanks to all of their help and good instructors!

After deciding to go back to school to become a Certified Medical Assistant, I chose Austin Medical Assitant school. I learned so much in what seemed like a very short time. The instructors were so amazing! The knowledge brought forth from them was great! I would definately do it all over again, thats how much I enjoyed it. If your looking for a great school, great teachers, hands on training and the willingness to exceed, payment plans available, 6 months time you can be Certified in your new career. I found my new career and couldnt be happier! Shout outs to my instructors Courtney Curry!, Esmerelda!, Allie! Miss you all!

The information each instructor gives is always different. Dana is awful. She yells at the students and becomes easily frustrated. The school itself has a great system; only once a week and an 80-hr externship.

I was a full-time student at the University of Texas at Austin and desperately wanted clinical experience before diving into grad school, but I couldnt find a Medical Assistant program that would work with my busy school and work schedule until I found AMAS! The classes are only once a week for 4 hours, either Saturday morning or Tuesday night, whichever works better for your schedule. The instructors are incredibly devoted to the students and the class size is less than 30 so there is plenty of one on one instruction, which is especially useful when it comes to practicing your skills like phlebotomy and injections. The externship is only 80 hours long and you have 8 weeks to complete it, which was perfect for me because I go to school every day of the week so I could only do 10 hours a week at my clinic. The school manager, Ashlee, is incredibly helpful. If you cant find a clinic to do your externship, she is super willing to assist you until you find something. Ashlee responds to questions almost immediately which has been a life-saver over the course of this program. All of the instructors are wonderful, but shout-out to Ismelda (Mandy), Jackie, Debra, and Maria for being there almost every single week and encouraging us to make it to the end. You are all incredible! If you are looking into a Medical Assistant program, absolutely choose this one!!! Its only six months long as well, so you can get into the work force faster and its super affordable and they let you make weekly payments instead of asking for everything up front! Cannot recommend this program enough :) Excellent experience.

I had the best expericence with this school . In just 24 weeks you get hands on training and the instructors are very helpful they work one on one with each student . You have to complete a 80 hr externship and the school helps you find one or you can find one on your own too . Classes are offered once a week for 4 hours either morning or afteroon . Ashlee the student cordinator is really helpful and she will answer all your questions . Overall its been a great experience and i would recommend this school if you are looking into becoming a medical assistant . Affordable and they offer payment plans too which really helped me alot .
