I do a lot of substitute teaching at Mia Monte. This is one of my top choices for high schools in the Bakersfield area. I am always asked to work extra to get as many hours as possible which is a plus!! Staff and administration always friendly and helpful. Students always welcome me when they see me on campus!! These reasons are only a few I have when it comes to recommending Mia Monte High School for a working position or a student placement choice.

Ive had four students atart their highschool years here and I love the staff and the school and all staff that I have come in contact with were and continues to be genuinely concerned about each of my sons I have two seniors this year and two sophomores and I couldnt be more pleased my experience has been great and I definitely reccomend this school distict and High School to other parents .

I have 8th period at this school and we go to get snacks and I told the lunch lady Im only getting the milk because Im allergic to peanut butter but she took my milk away and said if you dont take snack you dont take milk !!! AFTER I TOLD HER I WAS ALERGIC I WAS ACTUALLY STARTING TO LIKE IT HERE BUT NOT AFTER HOW THAT LUNCH LADY TOOK MY MILK !!! 👹👹

Absence or tardy disciplines are over the top. Court if you miss 3 days. Im freshmen and i already hate it.

I have been a freshman for four months here. I am hoping to change schools this year, but im defiantly not coming back sophomore year.

Hell to the no its sucks most staff are disrespectful and very rude

This is one of the worse school there is some of the staff there fail to do there jobs as fare as protection when it came to my child and when my child had no choice but to defind his/her self the school didnt like the out come and file charges on my child not to machine my child brought it to the schools attention about this person picking on my child as did her father and i but the dean still did nothing about it and as for security when i was asking questions about what was going with my child and why was she being arrested the security got loud and violent with me to were my Husband had to step in. I truly believe Mira Monte High school in Bakersfield is one of Kern county worse schools and its because of some staff failing to do there job
