This is my brothers first year at UVA in the 3rd grade. He loves it. However, it was a little difficult to get adjusted but once you stick with it and ask other parents (who are very willing to help) its great. The teachers have been great as well. So far it seems to be the right choice.

UVA has online convenience, customizable learning approach, and high academic standards. My child is prepared to meet her college and career goals. The staff is very engaged and accessible.

My daughter has thrived with U. V.. she is able to move up fast at HER pace rather than holding back. The staff keeps in touch with my wife and her progress . Our family wants to thank ALL the staff and teachers for the personal attention. The field trips give my daughter daughter a chance to meet some of the other students and have fun while learning as well.

I asked the teachers at this school multiple times what can I do to raise my gpa and they never gave a response and they waited until my mom called to tell us that they were holding my diploma for graduation because I still havent returned their laptop :/. I tried to go back to public school but my social skills were ruined by then. Anyways being home-schooled was a mistake. I wouldnt recommend.

My girlfriend tried to attend UVA in her senior year. When she needed help, NONE of her teachers ever answered the phone. She couldn’t get any help at all. Then when she stopped doing her work, her teachers finally decide to call her and ask her why she’s not doing her work. Then they ask her if she needs help and that they will answer and they continued to not answer any phone call or email. I’m extremely frustrated with this school (fire your teachers and get ones that actually care about their students). Do not put your kids in this school. They will struggle and they will not have the proper help that they need. If I could give this school a negative star, I would.

I began this program as a freshman and stayed until the middle of my second year. This school has helped me not only mature, learn better, and strive for my greatest potential, but I was able to graduate high school in 2 years at the age of 16. Very pleased with my experience and would absolutely recommend! Great opportunities for social exposure as field trips were available regularly and the teacher support was outstanding.

They do not care about the students. All they care about is their reputation and the tax dollars. The legal age to go to school is 21, they denied my son an education when he wasn’t even 18 yet. They never tell you when you are wasting your time to enroll that if you child made bad grades, ever failed or fixing to be 18, they will deny you. They wait till after you wasted your time and it’s too late to enroll anywhere else, to let you know they hand pick students. It’s not a basic law registration school. Be aware!!!! My son missed out on be able to go to another school because we wasted time with this school. The same thing happened to him last year, waited forever for the process of enrollment just to find out he wasn’t accepted because he failed some credits. They do not tell you all the requirements in the beginning. I even asked up front about his grades from previous school and mentioned that he failed the year before because it took them 10 days into the the school year to process his enrollment just to tell me he was denied because he failed 1 semester the year before. It was too late to enroll him in public school by the time they told me. I wish I had known it was this place that screwed up his education last year. I just figured it out when I look up the email from last year before school started. It was this same school that screwed up his education last year. The principal literally told me that they pick student that will make their school look good so they can stay open. All about the tax dollars.

I have three children who have attended this school for the last four years . This school changed my children’s lives. My daughter graduated in May and received her associates degree from NSU . She was the first to achieve this honor from their school. It would not have been possible without their early college program, which was free.

I was with University View from the beginning, when it was still Connections Academy, until it became UVA in my very last year of high school. The teachers were great, the curriculum was well balanced, and the online system was easy to navigate. I started doing online school since 5th grade up until I graduated in May of 2018. Switching from public school to online school was the best decision I’ve ever made. I felt that I was able to learn at my own pace while maintaining the structure I would have had in public school.

By far the best educational experience my children have ever received Not only has their scholastic learning excelled in more than one way, they have a complete changed paradigm on life in general, educational stature, personal persona, as well as responsibility and self conduct. UVA is more than just a school it is a family we always come together and support one another whether it be making physical contact in groups where our children can get together or at a school function or field trip or maybe it’s somebody who ends up in the hospital and learning coaches and parents along with children and even the staff members visit in the hospital or at the home to ensure that our Fellow UVA member is doing OK if you’re not doing great we want them all to know as a family always does that our support for each other is one hundred percent

UVA was a great fit for me as a student! I transferred to UVA because my other school was not concerned at all about their students’ educations. This was my second year with UVA ,and I have had almost all great experiences. The teachers are overall great and caring. However, I can see how a few students may have issues. I would recommend this school for well-organized students who can keep track of due dates, especially if you plan on taking dual enrollment courses. The only issue I have had so far is some courses using ProctorU. Most of the proctors do not seem to know what they are doing and will blame their own tech issues on the student. It is very stressful to use ,and I hope there is a better solution to proctoring tests in the future. Other than that, I do not have any other complaints. Next year will be my senior year, and I feel that my teachers at UVA have fully prepared me for college.

I hated the school with every fiber of my being. You dont learn anything, its like solitary confinement with a lifestyle like mine, and it has made my depression far worse. I feel like Ive even lost knowledge going from above average to basic in standardized testing. I excel with physical school, and honestly, another downside its far more difficult LEAVING the school. Ive tried to transition from the torture in 8th and currently trying in 9th, and they dont even have my records. Its a nightmare, this school is a nightmare, Im begging you to heed this review and not enroll your children.

This is My 2nd year with this school and I love it the teachers are very nice and very helpful and when you call them.... They usually call back right away or in the same day!! Im going to the 11th grade and I would never want to go back to regular school because I used to get picked on atleast with this school I made alot of friends!! and I dont have to ever worry about getting bullied, or being picked on because If the teacher sees it happening in a LiveLesson the teacher usually asks that kid to leave or just banned them from LiveLesson for a couple weeks!! Love this school alot!!☻

This is an awesome school for all students! I thought it was going to be hard with my daughter starting out in kindergarten but it wasnt she learned everything that she needed and more !!! For parents saying dont use unless its a need !! I have a 8th grader also and he doing great ! YES IT IS HARD WORK AND DEDICATION ! But all schools are depending on the results you want for your student! I have 4 students attending and will recommend to anyone that have the time and dedication! Not knocking the public system teachers but they arent what we had growning up anymore! TImes have changed and so have they ! We been attending LACA for 2 years and we love it ! Would change for the world ! I Love my LACA Family ! ❤️️❤️️❤️️

We were looking for a traditional school alternative for our high schooler this year because we were going to be traveling extensively. If it werent for the travel then I would NOT recommend this as an option for a student. I was previously apprehensive because of other online comments about students not learning anything and not receiving support. After speaking with some members of the homeschool community (My younger children are homeschooled) I was assured that any student that isnt academically behind and used to a rigorous curriculum can probably handle the coursework. They were right. What I didnt know was that there would be teacher changes mid semester and again mid year. That there would be miscommunication about testing dates and changes in testing locations. I was already concerned when the enrollment adviser told me that the materials could change mid-year and us being in Europe could make it difficult to receive them (I was later assured by a school administrator that they would not change the course mid year).I am not sure how much my daughter learned either. She is in her second year of a foreign language and I am concerned about how behind she will be for the third year at her regular school. I am also concerned about how much retention could be had in Algebra II and Chem. Personally I would not recommend this as an option unless there are special circumstances. If you are home schooling and want to make sure your child receives their high school credits then by all means do some research on how other home schoolers keep records. It can be done. Otherwise send your child to a brick and mortar school.Once again, I would NOT have done this if it werent for some very special circumstances. If that is the case for you just then just beware.
