A staff with the primary objectives of creating meaningful educational opportunities while building self esteem in individuals and fostering a community of positivity through music. A truly unique academy that I am proud of. Students and parents get a real family feel, with many of them having been clients for 10 years. Students climbing the ranks to become instructors, parents doing homework with their kids in the lobby, wonderful sounds coming from every room. Its an incredible haven for musicians young and old.

Number one fan! Years ago I was looking for a way for my kids to continue in their music education. They were taking drums and guitar lessons but were missing a way to showcase their talents. Thankfully I found the Baton Rouge Music Studio and their Young Band Nation program. Both boys now play in bands through this program and it has been amazing. We love the performances and how it has helped our children grow! Cannot say enough great things about the staff and teachers there.

My kids have tried other businesses over the years purely out of proximity...no other place will give you and your family such a welcoming, positive and caring environment as The Real School. They really get to know the kids and their individual talents and foster their growth in a family-like environment. We love them :)

My son has flourished at Baton Rouge Music Studios. He takes formal lessons there and is a member a one of the studios young rock bands. The band rehearses weekly and they perform regularly at local events such as White Light Night. He loves it all. BRMS is a wonderful community of talented artists. The instructors are top notch and the studio is professionally run and well organized.

Talented staff that you can tell love what they do. My son has been taking guitar/bass lessons for several years. My daughter has been taking piano lessons for a about a year.One of the coolest things that they do is that they place the students in bands and have them perform gigs around time.I wish something like this exsisted when I was a kid.

Our son has taken piano lessons at BRMS for 5 years. BRMS has always been like an extension of our family. The staff is amazing, and we couldn’t imagine being without BRMS!

The absolute best music studio in the Baton Rouge area!! All of the instructors are in bands themselves and really care about the quality of each lesson they give. It’s for ALL ages, young and old! They even have a program called Young Band Nations that puts students together to create bands and preform in all different types of events in BR. The staff is super friendly and the owners are of the most kind hearted people you will ever have the pleasure of meeting!

My five-year-old recently attended the Little Rockers summer camp at Baton Rouge Music Studios. I was impressed with how much she learned about different musical instruments and with the hands-on exploration of them. The week ended with a performance of an original song the campers wrote themselves, that they also got to record in the studio. Great experience all around. I will be looking into lessons here during the school year.

Over the past five years, my six children have taken lessons at BRMS. They have had private lessons in learning how to play piano, guitar, bass, drums, and voice. The teachers for the private lessons have been excellent. I’m so pleased with my children’s progress. Four of them have been in The Young Band Nation program. This has been an awesome experience for my kids. In this program, they get to be in a real band and actually perform at real gigs around town. I can’t say enough good things about the owner, staff, and teachers. They work tirelessly providing a professional and encouraging environment for all their young musicians.

This place rocks! It is not your typical music academy. They really cater to each students desires as a young musician. All the teachers are in local bands and have a passion for music beyond what you would expect at a typical music school. The staff is accommodating, respectful, and super fun! BRMS is always incorporated at local festivals, and events. They are here to serve Baton Rouges community and they certainly do!

I have two kids taking drums and guitar lessons. They have improved immensely and love working with their instructors. I recommend this place to anyone wanting to learn a musical instrument.

BRMS has been a wonderful place for my children to learn, develop, and create. Because theyve tried various instruments, theyve had several different teachers, and all have been positive, genuine, and fun.

I had a listening party here for my new album, and the venue was absolutely perfect. Great sound, great atmosphere, very helpful and friendly staff, and all the equipment I needed plus much more.

Their performance at the FLAIM fall fest was excellent, better than most local live adult bands I’ve seen.

I already play drums but am struggling to take my playing to that next step. Is there an expert teacher that could help me elevate my drumming?
