In my opinion all bay shore schools are exceptional in all means. Their faculty is excellent, their attitude, discipline,security, meals,such a clean schools, and there is a lot of good things about these schools like before/after school programs, Yes program which helps students with homework and have games for them from 2:30 to :5:30 PM, sports, arts, etc. I have five children and all have been there I have three graduated, from college, one from high school and my youngest is in Middle school now- All have been gone in the Bay Shore school district.

This school is no school worthy of 3.6 stars.This school is not a safe learning environment where bullying is prevented and your children arent miserable every moment they breathe the air of the Middle School.This school is a place of torture, where favoritism and bullying thrive, where the rules are so restricting you may as well be in shackles the moment you enter the door.This school goes out of its way to make you feel hatred for this place, with policies such as taking all candy on Halloween, disallowing costumes in any way shape or form, and disallowing you to wear any type of headgear or carry a bag around.This school is a place of iron, where one step out of line and the average person recieves a mental flogging. The intelligent introvert doesnt thrive here; They shrivel up and refuse to do their assignments. The average person doesnt thrive here; They are given a block of lead on either shoulder and dragged to the depths of the Code of Conduct. The class clown who makes jokes in class at his own expense doesnt thrive here; Every action deemed out of line is an act that counts as insubordination.Even the Study Hall, a place where one is supposed to be freed from the burden of class, given free time to pursue academic goals, is a place of steel. Not a word or whisper is uttered, or you will be shouted at. The cruel overseer of the Study Hall watches over all, all the while hypocritically distracting you from your work as she yells at another student for whispering to a friend about an assignment, and then having an inane conversation with the Study Hall Pet or yet another overseer.Punishments, which are liberally handed out, are as a lash of the whip to a student. The class sees one given out, and is cowed by the terror of one given to another. Even the threat of punishment is enough to silence a room, as a stressed air hangs over the classroom. A referral, which would normally imply something such as referring your services to another, implies punishment. The time out room, which normally implies a place of temporary rest, is burned into your mind as a place where the punished reside. And those lucky few who havent seen the inside of the room imagine what horrors are present inside in their nightmares.I, as one of the lucky few, avoid the High Schools timeout room for simply the memory of its namesake, and the lasting terror inflicted on my mind.I could go on for a long while, but this is a brief account and summary of my incarceration in Bay Shore Middle School. May I never see the interior of that accursed building again!

Awesome place! Only thing that would be bad for you is if you practically dont do anywork, youre lazy, bully, etc. then you wouldnt get past this middle school.
