We feel so very blessed to have found Mrs. Joy. 🥰 She and Mrs. Nancy really treat the kids not just as their own, but as little, actual people. I can always tell when someone is good for taking care of kids if - when a kids tiny little voice starts talking - they stop, start listening and actively are engaged with the child in conversation. So many adults just hear kids voices as background noise. Children here are treated as actual people with concerns, stories, observations and interests that are deserving of all love, attention and care. It sounds so simple but is actually a super important quality that not all child caretakers possess.Mrs. Joy takes remarkable care of the kids - it wears me out to think about it. Constantly thinking of new things to add in the home to make for more fun - certain toys, games and activities for different seasons, etc. I dont know how she does it! Theres a separate wood shop in the house where a guest instructor teaches woodshop, she has a guest yoga teacher, music teacher and a librarian that visits with the kids. There is plenty of outdoor play all year round. It is exactly what I wish I could have at home if all I had focused on was making a fun environment for kids. My son Dylan absolutely loves it there.

Lifes Little Joys is truly an inspiring environment thatpromotes such growth in all areas of development! Teacher Joy is so patient, passionate, compassionate and thoughtful. She cares for each child in a waythat makes each of them feel individually special. What a dream for parents!! When you walk in, you are met with places where children can learn throughtheir own creative lenses. The main room has numerous activities to choose from, and its obvious that each activity available has a purpose fordevelopment.   Joy will let you know exactly what that purpose is as she is a great communicator and shares progress throughout the day.    Down the hall is a HUGE block and train room!    I have neveranything like it before!    Across the hall is a play room with a stage and little kitchen area where the kids play dress up.    Then the outside yard is so open the children can play in a massive sand box, or climb on tree stumps, dig around, and so much more.    One area I appreciate is inside there is a room dedicated to big movement, because we do live in Oregon where is rains a lot.    There is a climbing structure and mats around, so they can tumble around.    I would highly recommend Life’s Little Joys!

Joy is clearly passionate about creating a preschool environment that fosters learning and development through creativity, exploration and fun.
