My family has been a part of the Touchstone community since June of 2014. My children have thrived at the school and genuinely look forward to going. I was nervous about sending my children to school and I have been surprised by how easy it has been. I feel that Touchstone is a safe and caring environment. This week my daughter even had a bit of a meltdown because I came early to surprise her with a trip to go swimming for the afternoon. She cried because she didnt want to leave yet! My son has a nut allergy and I love that the whole school is nut free. There was a staffing change at the last minute (teacher received a promotion to be the Principal at a sister school) and both Alicia (Principal) and Gordon (Teacher) called me together at my office. They knew that my son had been looking forward to going into Gordons class and that we would both be disappointed. That level of respect and communication left a very positive impression on me. I chose to rate them 4 stars simply because I have not had enough time there to rate them completely from an educational standpoint. I can say that I am very pleased that I selected Touchstone for my children and plan to have them stay through Kindergarten (3 years).

Worst school ever. Very high kids turn over rate. They have long waiting list and just cherry pick the most easy kids. My boy was great in the first six months. One day he got stuffy nose, didnt want to have nap. Teacher brought him to the front desk and called me, just because he didnt want to sleep. When I saw him, he was shaking and very nervous, thought that he got a big trouble. Since then I got call every other day for all kinds of troubles. He was labeled as a bad boy and felt very isolated in the school. The principle said that he behaved aggressive and need behavior therapist. We brought him to his pedestrian and recommended behavior specialist. They all said he was normal. His previous teacher cant believe the stories touchstone schools principal told us, unless I brought him back. She said, he was so deeply hurt and changed. He sat by himself and lost in his mind all the time. He was just four at that time. Now I am looking back, I should have listened to him, when he didnt want to go to the school. I havent protected him and let the school to put him down. The principal forced us to sign warning letters otherwise he cant continue to the school on the same day. She promised us this wasnt the worst situation and she had signed a final dismiss letter to another kid in the same week. One week later another boy in his class left. My boy was expelled couple weeks later. I am happy that we finally find a great school for him. It lasted couple months unless he return to himself. The current school teacher said he was such a caring person and very smart. They cant believe that Touchstone schools principal said its out of her knowledge to teach him. My boy loved his new school and teachers.I know some other families have same experience like us. I remember there used to be a review here said this school didnt teacher kids principle. I fully agreed. They dont teach principle, until one day they suddenly said you are four now and we have a higher expectation to you. Then they complain why your kids didnt listen to them. Be careful to this school and dont be fooled by the beautiful building and play ground.

The most warm staff I could have asked for, a happy, enriching and safe place. My daughter (in the toddler class) LOVES to go to school. She enjoys her teachers, the yard and the so many different and diverse activities indoor. We trust her teachers and love them. This is realy one of those schools that the kids learn through play, and they are given the oportunity to do so!
