I have been going to Duvall’s since it’s inception. It is a win win situation for the school, student and customer. Students are always under the direction of an instructor so the customers are provided a quality beauty shop experience at a reasonable price. I have never had a bad experience.

I have been going there for years and the instructors are excellent and professional. Sure you get your students that have attitude but some of that is the age of the students they have and their rebellious nature at that age. The instructors make sure you are looking great before you leave and correct any mistakes made by students. It is a third of the price of a nice salon and I have more compliments on my hair from when I go here then I do when I spend 300.00 plus! I also get some waxing done again a third of the price!

The students and staff work well together to offer haircuts and color at great orices. Also spa services including chemical peels and product kits for skincare. So affordable.

I went in for a simple pedicure. My student was very pleasant and courteous; however, she needed much more training as it took her an hour to do this and the result was very poor. The school does not provide proper nor sterilized implements for their students. I feel that they treat their students unfairly. Hence, I will not be returning.

This is a cosmetology school. I go there for my color, root touch-ups primarily. The students level of experience will determine how long the process will take to apply the color. You should expect to spend more time there. Obviously, a more experienced student will probably apply the color faster than a less experienced student. I am very pleased as you cant beat the low price for the service provided. The instructors are always nearby and review the quality of the work.Update: 08/11/2016 A student applied a balayage hair color on my hair. It is very subtle as I wanted. It looks beautiful.

Been coming to Duvals School for years. Even sent one of my daughters here to gain her esthetician certification. Great instructors who are always overseeing services. In my experience, students have always been ready for the service I received. Facials are wonderful! Great service. Fantastic value. Highly recommend!

Had microdermabrasion facial done and student was amazing explain the process and suggested and recommended for future care. Purchase another session but brought my son instead who suffers from Acne problem. Lashay made him feel comfortable explain to him what cause of his outbreak. Very nice instructor and friendly receptionist. Visiting location again to try out hair cut, will post my experience later. 🌸

My daughters have been coming here for a couple of years for their prom package which is only $20 for hair, makeup, and a polish....plus tip. Theyve used this package for prom and school banquets. Last year my daughters ended up with some amazing students that did great hair and makeup. This year one of my daughters ended up with someone who didnt do so well and was rude to boot. Its really a hit or miss with this place. Either its going to be great or going to be bad. Keep in mind these are only students and its cheaper because they are students so you cant complain too much if get someone who didnt do such a great job. My suggestion is to go in a few days before your event to have a run through for hair and makeup to see if student/customer shares the same vision. I am giving this place 5 stars because we have gotten graet service from them in the past and after todays incident when I called the school to complain about the customer service the student lacked... to my surprise they called back to ensure me if I kept my daughters prom appointment she would be seeing a different person and apologized as well. So even though things didnt go well today they definitely made up for it with just that one phone call.

I highly suggest going anywhere else but here! I had an appointment the day before Mothers Day to get my hair colored, and the day before they called and cancelled saying they were now over-booked. As in, I got pushed out by another person? Anyways, I was upset about that. I waited 2 weeks and tried again. I set another appointment for hair coloring. I was called less than 20 minutes before my appointment to say it was cancelled AGAIN due to the lack of staff. I was 5 minutes down the road after a long day of work and rushing to make my appointment. At this point, Im very upset and ask to speak to the manager. She goes on to say that they will not have ANY availability after 4PM in the near future and could not even schedule another time for me to get my hair colored. They close at 10PM, so to not be able to squeeze me in within 6 hours?! Really?! The manager was unkind and every single person I spoke to was unprofessional. I know this is not a salon and do not expect salon quality treatment, but I did deserve to be treated fairly. And I was very, very disappointed...as I expressed to the manager. Please pay a little more if you can and go to a place that values their word and your business.

I went got a haircut from my friend Karissa and I love it. The school is lovely and everyone was really nice and welcoming.

Beware before you go. This is a teaching school and their services reflect that skill level. The senior stylists should be ready to provide a simple wash and blow dry at a professional level. They are not ready. They need to learn how to listen to the customer. They dont listen! Thats a problem!

I went in this past Thursday and it was awesome! Sydney (whom graduates in April =( ) did my color and it was amazing (along side student instructor Taylor). I am ecstatic with my new hair!!!

I love Duvalls school of cosmetology in Bedford, Tx! I am currently a student there and I wouldn’t consider going anywhere else! The atmosphere is very welcoming and the educators are amazing. I truly feel like I am getting the best education and tools for success here! I would recommend it to anyone and everyone!

If I could give a 0 I would. Called last week to inquire about hair services. Informed the receptionist that I was natural and had a twa. I asked her if they could do my hair and she stayed they could. Called today to make an appointment and AGAIN asked if they could do NATURAL TWA hair and that I was black. Was told yes. Went in at 12 and had to wait. Got in the chair just to be told that they CANNOT do natural hair!!! I’m so upset not just at my time being wasted but at the fact that it’s 2018! How does a hair School not have hair products for natural hair??? Shouldn’t the goal be to service ALL women. It sucks that I couldn’t enjoy getting my hair done there like the various women I seen leaving. I was going to come back for a pedicure and makeup but I’ll pass. Would hate to sit in the chair to find out they don’t have my shade of foundation either. The plight of a black woman

I only went in for a leg wax not hair but that side was decent and the students were professional and did a great job. Im so happy to find a cheap place to do my waxing now!

Went in to get all over color asked for brown. Showed her a picture she showed me red colors asked why are you showing me red. The girl said the picture sample had red tones. She dyed my hair it came out all red and looked purple in the sunlight. Spoke with the Supervisor She was very condescending and acted like it was my fault not the hairdresser. DO NOT GET YOUR HAIR DONE HERE.FYI Supervisor needs to remember we are customers not employees/students

I have been getting facials at Duvalls for over five years now and I have never been disappointed. All of the students and instructors have been confident, competent, and polite and I find the atmosphere relaxing. The products used are Dermalogica and Rhonda Allison and there are often Groupons available which are very inexpensive. Highly recommend!

Absolutely the worst place to have your hair done. Camille the receptionist is very rude and immature. She will never be anything more than a receptionist at a hair school.

Pretty sad pathetic place when you call to confirm your appointment and then as youre on your way they call to cancel on you after driving 30 minutes. Poor sad service. I will get my full refund and find somewhere else to go. I can see why all of these reviews are bad. Very unprofessional. Im sure the people going to school here wont go very far in their career.

The people at this place are rude, condescending, and unskilled...and the services are even worse. I had an appointment for highlights, a cut, and a deep conditioning treatment and I was there for over 8 HOURS. Not only was that horrible, but the girl who did my highlights completely burnt off my hair and now, 5 months later, my hair is broken, frizzy, and unmanageable. I have spent hundreds on products and treatments to try to fix it and when I went into the shop to speak to someone about what had happened, they told me that there was nothing that they could do. I spoke to 3 people who were all unhelpful and straight up nasty. One lady even yelled at me in front of customers and instructors..what a way to treat someone! If you want anything done with quality and politeness, avoid this place at all costs.

The prices are great but the students are not very reliable. I dont see the point in taking appointments if the students may not show. This is very unprofessional and how can these students expect to do well if they are not committed to being there. This has happened to me twice and it will never happen again since I will never go back.
