Bend rock gym is one of the better rock gyms I have ever set foot in very independent in depth facility complete bouldering area 2 lead climbing areas areas and lots of things to do there is a weight lifting area as well and a full on training section of 1 of the bouldering gyms. The staff are very accommodating although this last year has been a struggle for everybody but they keep trying to make it a fun and easy place to visit.

Bend Rock Gym is great. Plenty of bouldering space and autobelays. Their boulder routes are set and graded really well; interesting problems, and the V-scale ratings are comparable to those at gyms like Planet Granite and Boulderdash in larger cities. Whoever their setters are, theyre doing good work. The staff are incredibly friendly, and the facility is quite clean. At $20 for a day pass with 15% off for students, the price is reasonable as well. 10/10 would recommend.

Rock climbing for everyone, kids and adults. Routes for all skill levels. 2 separate rooms for bouldering and rope climbing. Plenty of people involved in the community who are happy to spot you or show you new techniques. Great classes available and community outing information. One of my favorite places to shed stress and get a work out in.

Im a first time climber and went with my sister who goes often. The simplicity is very nice, just sign a waiver, grab some shoes and a harness and youre off to the races. Theres a massive amount of walls to climb ranging from kids level to expert, with the expert levels being changed periodically to give experienced climbers new avenues to explore.I stayed on the auto-belay walls that allow you to completely let go at any height and gracefully rappel to the ground. Each wall is marked with a difficulty and a corresponding color to follow up. For example, blue holds show a path going up on one wall while green shows another. Besides the main color holds there are much smaller, harder holds in case you want to challenge yourself on the way up by avoiding the main course and using alternate routes. The whole facility is clean and well kept, with a very friendly staff to help you along the way.I would have loved to stay longer but my arms were giving out...next time I hope to conquer more difficult climbs!

The west gym is an awesome addition. Its one of my favorite training facilities I have used - one side has bouldering terrain with a variety of angles, and the other side has two large spray walls at the 20 and 30 degree angles, as well as a moonboard, tension board, campus board and hangboards. Everything you need to level up as climber in one compact facility.Note that this part of the faclity is members only - at the very least you need to pay for a month of access or a punch pass. But I actually like this feature because it keeps crowds down and filters the clientele to more serious and experienced climbers.Overall big props to the BRG for creating a facility that caters so well people serious about the sport looking to up their skills.

BRG is a climbing gym for climbers. Between the ample bouldering, auto-belays, and climbing wall, there is plenty to keep your arms sore and skin raw for weeks on end. They are efficiently run and have a happy and helpful staff. In addition, the yoga and PILATES available make a great complement to anyones climbing training. There are enough weights about you can get in a non-climbing based workout if you want it. There are also training walls and a cage for your movement and mobility training. It was a privilege to get to be a part of this community for even just a brief period of time.

Amazing facility! Its worth a visit even if you arent a climber. The walls must be 60 feet high! They seemed very knowledgeable, and the facility is enormous. Fascinating to just wander around and watch adults and children having fun. The newest section (on the left) is particularly impressive.

This is a great facility. The expansion is top-notch and the route-setters are great. Its a fun place to take kids, as they have a dedicated kids area with many auto-belays, but still challenging enough routes for adults. My only complaint is that I wish they offered childcare. Maybe just on the weekends and at peak times? I think the management has improved in the last 3 months.

Great gym -- love the setting, friendly people. Seems like the youth programs are thriving, but maybe a little too much.... The only thing Id change is more adult swim time/space. Yikes -- never thought Id be that person. Maybe we could have two weeknights without kids camps? Or one or two areas to boulder without kiddos during camp time? Not sure what the best solution might be. Keep up the good work! Thanks!

Review №24

By far the best climbing gym Ive been to. They have plenty of great equipment for beginner and advanced climbers to advance faster, including a moon board and great campus section along with a weight room. Really top notch. The service was what really sets this gym apart. John was very helpful, patient and kind, as were all the other staff. They have showers, fyi. Lead climbing, top roping, bouldering, aerobic workout machines and a weight room. Plenty of all of it as well. Worth every penny and minute.

Good rock gym, I enjoyed my time there. It seemed like any other rock gym Ive been to though, nothing unique about it. I wish they had a climbing rope and other cool structures to climb up. Because it is the only rock gym in Bend, I will be going there frequently.

I have brought teens here for several years with no problems. However I had a very unpleasant experience with the staff at the front desk that makes me not want to recommend them in the future. When I ask if I could speak to a manager (or someone in charge) they said no. I asked if I could have a manger call me at at their convenience. They said they couldnt do that either. They would only give me the info@bendrockgym email address as any type of contact for further help. I can understand why they did not want me to talk with their boss. The customer service was abysmal and we left feeling disrespected.I noticed that other reviewers were also treated rudely too. I guess is a an ongoing problem. This is first negative review I have ever posted about any business. That is how bad it is!
