My son is in his first year at Berkwood Hedge, and our experience has been fabulous. Hes delighted to go to school each day, and multiple times -- apropos of nothing -- he has exclaimed to us, thank you for sending me to my school! Beyond his happy experience, though, Ive been impressed with the community at Berkwood, as well as the teaching staffs commitment to fostering an environment that rewards creativity and exploration. Weve found the small size of the school to be an asset in providing both a tight knit and highly personalized experience. Our son is friends with kids across multiple grades, and the overall atmosphere of kindness among the kids is amazing. We feel very lucky to be part of this community.

We spent a lot of time choosing a school for our daughter, who is in Kindergarden this year. We have been extremely happy at the school. The staff are wonderful and our daughter has formed close bonds with several teachers/administrators. I always feel she is well cared for. I attended the student art show today and was inspired with the quality and variety of work. I’ve seen a lot of mediocre “art” projects in elementary schools (think hand-tracing turkeys) and what they are doing at Berkwood Hedge is real art. The quantity and quality of the arts opportunities are excellent.
