Nice venue, saw Chicago Soul Jazz Collective, small show, only in front part of bar, awesome! If you like jazz you gotta see these guys!

Great looking place with wonderful staff. Unfortunately, not so great for actually hearing music. I go there maybe once per year and am always shocked at how horrible the sound is. The best of sound techs cant make that room sound good.

My band, War Hammer, just played here this past weekend on June 22. This place is no ordinary venue/bar. It has some serious class and an upscale feel to it. The staff were all great people and everything very well organized. Their sound system was crystal clear and the room seemed to have just the right amount of natural reverb to sound great. We got some fan filmed footage that sounds so good that it could be used on a live DVD compilation.The VIP lounge on the balcony was totally cool and all of the bands were well taken care of. All of us in War Hammer give this place five stars and hope to be fortunate enough to get booked here again some day.

I just want to say didn’t even go in. We were bar hopping and we get out front and the bouncer stop us for a $15 a person cover, we just want a couple of drinks and then on to the next one. The band wasn’t even set up yet so we wouldn’t have heard it anyway:/ we talked to some of the people there and they said it wasn’t worth it, so we bounced. And the funny thing we just came from the Friendly Tap with free live music and tipped the band 20 and had drinks. Pretentious!!! Bam!

Great place for a variety of musical acts and performances. Pleasantly surprised at the caliber of talent commanded at this local venue. The sound equipment, lighting, stage all top notch. Fun place for events, large groups and shows! The bar staff is hustling and still takes a bit to get served - only minor tweak needed. Glad its in the neighborhood.

Some of the best shows are here! So great. Everyone who works here is so nice and very welcoming. Chris is amazing. Anyone who thinks other wise is just dumb. Wire is the place to be no matter what kind of event.

Nice music room. Usually good sound and reasonable sight lines. Moderate selection of beers; good selection of wines and liquor.

Really nice building and ambience, exposed brick, long bar, several different sections. Staff is cool and so is the crowd. Great for acoustic and small shows, unfortunately it is an echo chamber for rock acts.

Awesome venue! Great selection of beer, super friendly and professional staff and a fun place to hang out. There isnt any parking, as far as I could tell, but theres available street parking pretty close.

This is a great place to watch live music. The staff is really friendly, its very clean, and its just a cool place to be. The only drawbacks are its not really in the nicest area of town and they dont serve food and theres really no food places near it. The area isnt really bad, but its not really great either. My advice, keep your car doors locked and keep your personal items, such as phones, wallets, keys, and tablets, with you at all times. Still the likelihood of you getting mugged or shot anywhere in Berwyn is very slim to none. Just be careful.

Love going to this bar to watch live bands play! I have been going to The Wire for 2-3 years and I always have a great time. I always have a place to sit & the music is usually at a good volume level. We were lucky enough to visit on the night when a local band called Nahkriin played. They were great and the overall atmosphere of the bar was cool. Drink prices are good and if you like you can visit the merchandise tables of the bands that play to pick up t-shirts and other stuff. Glad we found this place & will keep coming back any time Nahkriin plays!!!

Paid 50.00 for a tribute band that was supposed to play Monkees music. Stayed for two sets, not one song by Davey Jones, disappointed.

Some of the nicest people staffed, I was treated as a guest. Sound guy is good drinks are reasonably priced.

Left debit card there. Called to see if I could get it back the next day, to which they said yes. I drove all the way from Jefferson Park only to find that “they didn’t have it.” Also if you want to see music here, go elsewhere. The mixing of the sound is pretty terrible.
