We had a lovely experience with Capital Cotillion. Its well-organized, the kids have fun, and the host is hilarious. As a mom, I also love the emphasis on manners. Yes, they learn to dance (they really do), but equally important is the notion that politeness and manners matter.I have to respond to Guests comment about the other, by invitation only cotillion in the area. Given that cotillions exclusionary history, it was not an option for us.We were pleased with our Capital Cotillion experience and will return this fall.

Our first experience st Capital Cotillion! We expected it to be a large group but not 300+ kids in a hall, with not much place to dance. So the kids shuffle-dance with not much instruction/adjustment by the many staff walking the room. The host and format of the event are nice but i can’t see it being worth the steep $530 price rage for 7 sessions!! Compared to the other by-invitation Cotillion in the DC metro area at $150, I’m surprised and would not recommend Capital Cotillion for an overpriced experience of packing as many kids in a room on the pretext of learning social graces and dancing.
