Great place. Very friendly atmosphere. Individual attention to each student. Highly recommend for first time kids martial arts. Mr. Brandon and Ms. Jasmine are great instructors. Classes are a bit short - 30 min each, but for beginning that works out well.

We were referred by a friend and have been going for a few weeks now. My son absolutely loves it. And its been extremely positive for him developmentally. I would highly recommend Kicks Karate, particularly the Tiny Tigers class.

Mr. Brown, the head instructor is awesome. He was my sons and my first instructor 23 years ago. The focus, concentration, persistence, and self discipline he instilled into my so starting at age seven carried over through those challenging years of grad school. 3rd degree black belt Doctor Burnetti can still repeat Mr. Browns three rules: 1. Bend your knees. 2. DONT BLOCK WITH YOUR FACE! 3. Best way to get out of that situation, DONT GET IN THAT SITUATION. He turned a dad who was getting soft and out of shape into a lifetime martial artist. He wont give you a black belt. But the brown belt that he signs when you EARN his seal of approval will be one of your treasures. I consider it more precious than my original black belt or any of the four DANS Ive tested for since. Your kids need the Mike Brown experience. And I cant recommend the adult class enough. My son and I tested for 3rd degree side by side. Something neither of us will forget.

Don’t ever sign a contract for any period longer than a month unless you don’t mind throwing money away. They make you commit to a year. You will miss a lot of classes.All the parents I have spoken to are saying the same thing. You land up not going, and you can’t get out of the contract.Don’t sign anything you can’t get out of.And don’t buy any of that discipline hogwash. Your child will love their first few classes. If your child loves it after a month you can sign up for another month.

Genuinely caring staff that is incredibly skilled with kids, having fun, getting them to focus, in a positive environment. Has been really good for my kid.

This is the Best karate school ever! Every single instructor there is super kind, dedicated, and teaches you something new at every class. Mr Ricky (the head of the school) is very engaging and knows/remembers every students name. Hes always very social and helpful to everybody that walks in!

All instructors are wonderful, no exception! I took one of my children to a friends birthday party over four years ago and now all three children and both parents train. Not once do the children complain about going to class and this has been going on for four straight years.We are literally a Kicks Karate Family. We love it!The different programs (tiny tigers, little ninjas and childrens) are well structured and my children are not only gaining focus but an incredible sense of confidence and respect.Thank you Mr. Ricky, Mr. Brandon, Mr. Fred, Mr. Brian, Mr. Ali, Mr. Jackson, Ms. Rachel (and all other instructors)!

Tonight served as a reminder of how solid this institution is and how fortunate we are to have found it 7 years ago. Both of my sons have matriculated from little ninjas to black belts. They have learned countless skills - both in the practice of karate and of life. The teachings extend well beyond the confines of this enclave of confidence building here in Lake Woebegone USA. Mr. Rickey is exceptional. He leads with his deeds, his word, and his team. Never Give Up. Yes I can. Truer words never spoken. Thank you for teaching them to us.

We joined Kicks Karate at Glen Echo over 4 years ago (enrolling our oldest son who was then 4 years old) and cant say enough good things about it. Mr. Ricky is an exceptional teacher, guide, role model, and instructor. He also ensures the quality of those who teach under him. Both of our boys now take karate classes at the studio. We cant recommend it highly enough.

Awful experience! They never paid attention to my child or helped him integrate in the class :-(( . A complete waste of large amount of money as they force you to sign up to 5 months upfront and have a robbery type of cancellation policy.

I have been taking my two grand children to KK for the past 2.5 years. it has been more of a positive formative experience for my grandchildren than anything outside of their home. i feel very indebted to Mr. Rickey and his extraordinary cadre of instructors for their excellent mentorship of my grandchildren. anything to the contrary in any of the reviews here should be entirely disregarded. i am an unpaid devotee of KK.

Mr Ricky, and his team are the best, I highly recommend this Karate School for everyone.
