Best independent school in Maryland. Great leadership. Caring and nurturing but methodical in equipping girls with knowledge and skills. No school prepares kids better than Holton.

Admissions pre-selects their candidates before application process concludes. A family of interest is told something completely different than another family. The same question was asked by the family of interest and a favorable response was given. When asked the same question, a completely, discouraging answer was given. Why go through this mental and physical exhausting process for children and their families when your mind has been made. Shame Holton-Arms!

I curious as to why above reviewers write hate it without explanation. Also, it appears that the first reviewer is upset about her daughter not getting into Holton-Arms. My husband and I did not feel one way or the other (meaning like it went well or poorly) after our interview. Our daughter started in 6th grade and completing the 4-5th grade gifted magnet program for elementary school in Montgomery County, MD. We were so excited when she got into Holton and so was she! She is now is 8th grade and loves it more each day! The staff challenge the girls academically and support them as individuals. We could not have made a better choice for our daughter!!
