My son LOVES it at BCGC. The teachers are fantastic, the food is healthy, and he is learning Spanish. He is genuinely excited to get in the car in the morning to go to daycare, and when he sees his teacher he runs up to her and gives her a hug.

My wife used Bloomington Center for Global Children for our first child from when he was an infant until almost 2. Our son attended three different daycares/schools in Bloomington, Indiana, and there is no question that BCGC, by and far, provided the most enriching environment for him. There are so many fantastic qualities to BCGC it is hard to find a place to begin. Perhaps it all stems from the exceptional staff—men and women who have received fantastic education and training and hold a great deal and passion for their work. We always felt as though our child was being cared for and nurtured every moment he spent with them. Our son was constantly engaged in developmental activities, especially language, since he heard English at home, but only Spanish while at school. This experience will undoubtedly play an important part in his intellectual growth.Another aspect that BCGC excels at is attention to detail. Every day we were provided with a comprehensive summary of our sons activities, including what he ate, how much he slept, and what he did during the day for fun. Even incidents (they happen!) were handled expertly, complete with a detailed report, and dealt with calmly by using them as learning opportunities. Finally, we appreciate BCGCs commitment to a diverse education, filled with a variety of experiences. BCGC consistently developed programs to challenge our son across all of his senses, tailoring activities to elements that clearly interested him. For example, our son is more of a tinkerer, and less into crafts, so the staff encouraged this by completing puzzles with him frequently. They also stress good nutrition and offered a consistent diet of whole foods that broadened our sons palette (like octopus! How awesome is it to tell other parents that your 1 year old ate octopus at school and loved it?).We moved from the area, which is the only reason we had to leave BCGC. In our search to find a new school, we only compared new potential institutions to BCGC as the gold standard in terms of quality care. If you are a parent considering BCGC, I cannot give anything but the highest recommendation. When we left, we felt like family, and we are eternally grateful for the experience they gave our son when he was fortunate enough to be a part of their community.
