I wanted to sign my 4 yr old up for an extracurricular activity after daycare and decided on Boca Dance. We absolutely love it. Her first few classes were tough with her not being used to it but there was an extra special teacher who helped ease her into class. She’s now been going for a few months and absolutely loves it, and has made some great friends. Her teacher is so sweet, very professional, super helpful, and actually teaches her class dance. Same with the assistant. My daughter leaves there knowing a new part of a routine even at 4, so I know she’s learning. Highly recommend Boca Dance for your little one who may be showing signs of her inner dancer, or if you just want to try something new!

My daughter joined Boca Dance Studio last year, and then COVID happened. I am so grateful to her amazing teachers for everything they have done during this time, to continue the fun, the learning and to encourage her love of dance. Her teachers are truly amazing- they know her as an individual and care about her. It is a warm place filled with families who want to see their dancers grow and improve in a positive way. They have done an incredible job with safety precautions, cleanliness and mask requirements where we feel comfortable coming in to be part of the company, yet the virtual experience has been great as well. Our family highly recommends this studio as a professional, caring, and fun place to enjoy lessons and improve as a dancer.

Boca Dance Studio has been my daughters second home for over 9 years. This studio puts the whole child first. That means not only their dance instruction - but their mental and emotional well being as well - Especially for the past year during these unprecedented times that we have experienced with covid. I have read some comments about the pretty nuts parents and the fact that inside the studio the children wear masks. This is a dance studio for CHILDREN - MANY OF THEM BEING UNDER 12 AND UNABLE TO BE VACCINATED. Its not up for debate what a parents personal choices are - the studio chooses to put the children and their health and safety first. I think whether or not you agree with vaccinations or masks - the fact that a small business - which has taken losses and still stayed open for the sanity and happiness of our children - should be applauded for any lengths they go to keep our children safe and secure. In my personal opinion - having the children wear masks last season - before the vaccine - is the only reason my daughter did not get infected. Many of the children in her group were exposed at their schools and on their school dance teams, and not one child in her group at Boca Dance Studio got covid from the studio. NOT ONE. If that doesnt prove that masks work, then I dont know what else does. The kids are more adaptable and resilient than the adults and were so happy to dance that the masks were not even a second thought. Two and three year old children wore them without complaint. Its not ideal or what anyone would prefer - but the studio does what it has to do to stay open, keep transfer rates low or nonexistent, and put the kids first. No one wants to be in this pandemic - but the reality is that we are, that covid rates in Florida are skyrocketing, and we should be thankful for any place that wants to put our children first. Boca Dance Studio is by far the safest, most loving, and caring place for our children. Their safer studio policies are exceptional and follow all CDC guidelines. I, for one, am grateful for the leadership of Melanie Gibbs and her staff and teachers for always putting the children first and making the hard decisions that dont take the easy way out. I recommend this studio whole heartedly and will continue to support their decisions, knowing my childs well being comes first to them! Leaving anything negative in writing to hurt a small business these days shows more about the character of the reviewer than the studio itself. Boca Dance Studio is top notch in every aspect of their studio. Highly recommend!!!!!!!!!!

We love Boca dance studio! Last season they quickly converted to virtual classes and created a wonderful and safe experience for the final recital. We were overjoyed with the process and how special our daughter felt. This season we decided to stay virtual and we are so happy they have this option. Our daughter loves her weekly virtual jazz and hip hop class and both her instructors. Virtual teaching is difficult and both her teachers work hard to keep her engaged and learning. Every week we get updates on what is going on in the studio, we couldn’t ask for better communication.

I signed my 7yr old daughter up through a recommendation from a friend whose daughter has been going for years. My daughter loved it from the first moment. She does ballet, jazz, hip hop and tap. Loves the classes and her teachers. The front office staff is soo nice and so very helpful. They all go above and beyond at Boca Dance Studio. We can wait for the end of year dance show!!!

My dancer has been at Boca Dance Studio for 6 amazing years. The instructors are wonderful, the administration is helpful and answer questions within minutes, everyone is super nice, and most importantly my daughter feels like her dance team is her family. My daughter started a month ago and absolutely loves it here! After every class she asks “can we come back next week!?”. It is nice seeing her excitement and love of dance. Our 5 year old is absolutely loving her classes at Boca Dance Studio!!! We tried another dance studio before and while she begged to do dance, she then never wanted to go. We did a trial class here before signing up, and now it’s the highlight of her week. Amazing staff and seems to be great families who attend. Couldn’t be happier!

My daughter is very timid. We enrolled her in dance to help her branch out. My biggest confirmation was when she willingly took her instructors hand and walked into class without me. She felt comfortable! Though she was hesitant to participate, the instructor was very patient and interactive and eventually she was all in! She loves going to class, and is visibly becoming less shy with each passing lesson.

My daughter started dance at BDS when she was 3. I was impressed with Ms. Katie when I first inquired about enrolling her. Since then it’s been one of the best decisions. 6 years later she has grown as a dancer, made lifelong friends and has been inspired to continue. This is her second year in a competition dance team and the effort has been worthwhile. I hope my daughter continues because the older girls at BDS are an absolute inspiration to the younger ones. When they say more than just dance- they mean it. My daughter did dance for years in NY and while she always loved dance she never really loved her old studio- it was cliqueish and not very inclusive. At boca dance she was immediately at ease and I credit the instructors for creating a friendly welcome environment. Aside from my happiness at her happiness on the parent level I have to say 5 stars all the way. It is easy to register for classes and the studio keeps you informed on all things. They are super great with schedules and I feel very secure leaving my daughter in thier care for hours every week.*****I want to update my review to say how great bds is doing with reopening for in person classes. Social distancing, smaller class size and constant sanitizing makes me feel secure in dropping off my daughter 3x a week for classes. The staff is doing a great job with the new protocols and I am grateful for the return to the studio.

Amazing dance studio! My daughter has been going for a little over a year now and she has really transformed into a ballerina. In the beginning she was a little hesitant to go to class but the teachers and students made her feel at home. She will definitely be continuing!

Where do I even begin?! Boca Dance Studio is THE BEST studio in Boca. Period. End of story. Every staff member is warm, accommodating and passionate. They are affordable but their 5-star professionalism and dedication to their students makes you feel like it’s worth a million bucks! We are so excited to participate in the Boca Holiday parade and our first showcase in May. Also, Miss Amy and Miss Andy are incredibly patient and gentle with the 3 year old class. We absolutely love BDS! My daughter and son are having a wonderful experience dancing at BDs. They love going there because it feels like a second home to them. Most importantly, they are learning how to dance and be creative in a stress free environment. The teachers are the best! They are caring, fun and very talented plus, the staff is always very attentive and helpful in every way.

It was my 3-year old daughters first time for Tap and Ballet and the instructors totally ignored her for the first 30 minutes because, as 3-year olds do, did not follow the class perfectly. Instead of trying to correct her and bring her back with the other dancers, they let her just do whatever she wanted instead of providing direction. It also seems like they put our daughter in with 4 and 5 year olds, which at that age, follow direction much better and a 3-year old. We had a hour class but removed her after 30 minutes and cancelled the rest of our classes for that month. There are much better dance studios in Boca such as Performance-to-Edge. Stay away from this place.
