After looking around at several places, we didnt settle on this place, we were brought in as family. After watching how this had impacted my son so positively... I decided I would join as well. 3 years ago when I started looking for a bjj school for my 8 year old I was recommended Kimura BJJ by a friend from a different bjj academy as this being the perfect place for kids. As somebody who was afraid of fighting his whole life, I was apprehensive about coming to train at Kimura BJJ. After meeting Master Jean and the students of the academy, I was immediately put at ease by the camraderie and friendliness of the dojo. I started training here a bit over 2 years ago, switched from world famous school south of 441. Personal attitude of professor Jean and schools crew together with family - style atmosphere waived all my concerns from the first minute i touched the mat. 4 months ago my 4 year old son joined the academy, this is the place i want my kids to train. I started training with Master Jean in 2010. I remember the first time I walked into Kimura BJJ and he greeted me with such positive energy and enthusiasm. I went to kimura for the free one week trial and absolutely fell in love with it. The atmosphere at this academy is so welcoming and friendly, you feel like you are part of them almost instantly. Kimura BJJ is an outstanding martial arts class for both of my sons (ages 10 and 6). Their prices are very reasonable and they really know how to connect with kids. My oldest son had some anxiety issues, but the instructor/owner, Jean Kleber (google him to be impressed), was able to help him out of his issues, without coddling him. Now, not only does my son not have any issues in bjj, but in all aspects of his life. His schooling has drastically improved, and hes LOVES coming to Kimura to train. Its not just Jean though. By no means is Kimura a fight gym, although we have world champions and many multiple gold medalist competitors. What sets this school apart from the rest however is simply Master Jean himself. Kimura is a great place for learning jiu jitsu and building confidence and when I first started there I was really shy and acared of going there but now I’ve been training for almost 2 years and I am way more confident and stronger mentally and physically. Kimura BJJ Is definitely a great place to bring children and even for parents to train.

Kimura BJJ has now been part of my family for 10 years! I live in Tanzania, East Africa where I have launched a Kimura BJJ club and even teach my own sons as part of our kids’ classes. Despite being thousands of miles away, I remain united with my Kimura brothers and sisters in the United States and throughout the world. Unity has always been our strength. I am honored and humbled to extend that tradition to East Africa and my family, and I continue to learn and grow through Kimura. Ossssss.

Amazing environment not just for the bjj but to be there as a family once u get there you don’t want to get out and I can stay here The whole day talking about the teachers there are amazing person and as a professional they mean so much to me and they treat me like a son and I love to be there all day helping and being helped for those who are there

Been there for 2 years so far and I couldn’t ask for a better place to train. They not onlyteach me jiu jitsu but life lessons and what it means to be a family. Not only are do they have instructors but mentors for every student there who are passionate about what they do.

I walked into this school not knowing that my life would be changed forever. When I entered, I was greeted with the utmost respect and friendliness. I was just an overweight guy looking to train. As soon as I went on the mats, I felt at home. Everyone was so friendly. I went on to train from 3 days a week to 5 and even 6 days a week. In a short span, I learned so much. The best part about everything is that Ive lost over 80 lbs training Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. It really has changed my life. Not only physically, but mentally. Master Jean has been a great impact in my life for the best. When you come here, you come to train, but you stay for the family.Kimura way of life.

I would definetly recommend Kimura Boca Raton for anyone looking to practice BJJ. Jean is an amazing instructor who is an excellent role model for the kids. Everyone here is so welcoming. It truely is a second family. I am so glad that we placed our children here. It has been a great experience and would recommend to everyone.
