This business is more focused on selling products to its subscribers than producing useful content. There is a constant barrage of upsells and product promotions. They also charged my card for an auto-renewal without the courtesy of a reminder and then would only offer a partial refund, even though it was requested the next day. After ripping off ATK he has progressed to ripping off his customers.

I was in Boston for training for a few days, and was so glad there was a class offered at Milk Street when I was there. Loved, loved Birgittes class on Danish cooking. She is an amazing teacher, and her passion for great, fresh food and her love of the food of Denmark came through loud and clear. The cooking school space is heavenly, great demonstration island and wonderful hands on cooking area. The Milk Street group is warm, inviting and passionate about sharing their space and love of food. I have been a Cooks Illustrated, Cooks Country, Milk Street fan forever, so it was a thrill to actually be in their kitchen!

Great experience. For a long-time home cook it was still so insightful to pick up many tips and tricks along the way. Engaging instructor and staff and fantastic facility. I cant wait to take more classes!

Online store/website: Excellent array of gourmet items and cookware. I love browsing the website and discovering new delicacies such as freekeh, kaya and Korean hot sauce, not to mention the innumerable sugars from around the world such as jaggery and panela. The only issue is that they are often running out of items, and its frustrating to have an order ready to go, receive an email alert that a product is back in stock, go to the website to complete your order and then another item is backordered! It can feel like a game of musical chairs. However, that is probably due to Milk Streets popularity combined with the pandemic, so I am hoping things will calm down eventually. Great website, highly recommend!

I booked a class for my wife, brother in law, and his wife. We all had a great time and learned not just a recipe, but techniques that well be able to bring into our own kitchens. Excellent balance between demos and hands on cooking. Very welcoming and helpful staff. Well worth it.

Ive watched the show and subscribed to the magazine for a while (pretty much every magazine Kimball has published since I was in high school), and now that I moved up here, I finally got a chance to visit.I did the free 30 minute tour, and even given how short it was and how much Ive read and cooked previously, I found myself learning a lot. Rosie did an excellent job explaining how adding spices at different points in the cooking and with different techniques really changes the character of the dish, and the crispy chickpeas we tried were great! I definitely plan on coming back for a full lesson.

I got a random magazine and tried several dishes from it, and those were delicious. So I went online to sign up for the magazine which was 12 days for $1, including a free physical issue. Right after the sign up, I started to receive 2 to 3 emails a day, which is certainly annoying, so I went back to the website to cancel my trial. But you cannot simply cancel the magazine online, you have to call the customer service, which I didnt have phone service at the time so I didnt call them....Two months later I got their issue and asked me to pay?!?!? This is lousy customer service, it is like I am forced to pay it. I like the magazine but that is it. The website is hard to use and highly unlikable. All they want is getting money from customers. So disappointing.

I signed up for this class kind of spur of the moment so I traveled 2 hours to Boston and again to return home. I was the only solo participant and I would do it all over again in a heartbeat. Well done Milk Street Kitchen. Great staff, well thought out lesson plan, and such tasty results from the participants. My only request is please try to occasionally schedule a midday class!!

Chris is great. He is informational, succinct, witty and packs a lot into the half hour program. I tried to keep watching ATK and CC, but not as good since hes left. Hes a star. Like his new crew too.

The Spice Kitchen class was fantastic. Facility is beautiful, staff great and did not feel like too much of a beginner. Will attend another class in the future!

We received the free trial copy of the magazine and my family is busy arguing about what recipe to try next. Have tried two recipes so far - scrambled eggs in olive oil and the charred brussels sprouts. Both of those will be permanent fixtures on our recipe list. Looking forward to the next magazine as I signed up for everything. I think the carrot salad will be what we try next out of this edition or it might be the brown sugar custard. Highly recommend this magazine to anyone who likes to cook.

Always enjoyed his dry humor and expertise on Americas Test Kitchen and Cooks Country but found him to be snarky and a bit condescending on this show. When talking with the young man with good hair, the phrase bitter old man came to mind. Sorry for the harsh review - feeling disappointed I guess.

I watched the show on PBS and there was a recipe I was intersted in shop said i could het it off the website so I went there signed up for it and it gave me 12 recipes i had not interest in. Now in getting all kinds of junk mail about purchasing Chris kimballs products. Wasnt found odd him on American testy kitchen and dont want his products. Now i know the windy or just to capture and probably sell my email. Sorry i did it, be warned you will not get the recipe you go there for unless you pay for it.

I wont watch anything with Christopher Kimball. He has been rude to his guests. Who says you dont know what Im thinking when the guest chef says I know what youre thinking. A kind person would have kept his response to himself instead of that rude remark. I quite watching anything with his know it all attitude.
