It’s a driving school, yet, the vehicle’s brake lights dont even work. Very dangerous for the people driving behind it, especially from a person learning how to drive . Just imagine the student stomping on their brake but the person behind it won’t even know

This place is very unprofessional and the lack of communication is worse. I scheduled a class time and paid 2 weeks before then the week of the classes a driver calls me that he’s outside my house at a completely different time, the second day nobody called me to confirm my class so when I call they said they only do confirmations in the morning but nobody called me so they tell me they have no drivers available? THEN the third day they cancel my class 20 minutes before it started and I got a text later that night that my class has been canceled, the next day a driver calls me to say they’re outside and so I told him I got a text saying it was canceled for today and the instructor didn’t even know what to say. The last class I was supposed to have they called to confirm and I told them I was so done with the lack of communication and if we can reschedule for the upcoming week for the time I had originally wanted and they said no they don’t have that time available until January, instead of trying to work with me they said come get your money. Then I go and get my money they don’t even give the full amount back because I confirmed 2 classes that THEY CANCELED. Horrible service.

So unprofessional and terrible communications. Sonia is a scammer and will cancel on you last minute and still charge you for the class and not give you your money back. This lady doesn’t know what she’s doing or saying so don’t waste your time with her.

I had a class scheduled with them but they never showed up. They gave 0 notice that the class was cancelled, they also didnt try to contact me to reschedule out class. I do not recommend you use their services. Look for a better driving school.

9/2/2021 I called at 2:55pm whoever is answering the phone needs to go! That person is bringing that place to the ground! I called to set up an appointment and she kept hanging up on me and ignores the calls! Like do your self a favor and quit your job! You aint doing no one a favor! We are bringing our money so you can have a weekly paycheck!

Sonia’s driving is a really bad place to come for you road test their services is really bad they just want the money and Sonias is so rude, the person where you to pay she is so mean out off 23 only 5 people pass, the person who did that test marks my friend wrong for not putting her hand behind the passager set when she was backing up because her had didn’t reach the set he had it all the way to the back, so when It was my turn I told him to pull his set up and he said that i didn’t need to do it and I said that the way I learn… I didn’t makes sense for me that my friend got that wrong and he is telling that I don’t need to do it !!!I have my appointment at 8am and did my test ast 12:40pm I had to way four hour and 1/2 do my test there where people they had theirs appointment at 7 and some did it after me!!!!

These people are the worst.I schedule 2 driving classes and a road test a week later. The days of the classes I kept calling to make sure they would come, they NEVER answered the phone. Its like they were intentionally avoiding my calls. The day before the test they called and said I was going to be charged whether or not I showed up.They are SCAM ARTISTS and thieves.

They are not responsible and have no communication. They never answer the phone. I had a driving lesson scheduled with them and they never showed up. I called and they told me I have canceled it when I never canceled.

These people are only happy to take your money. I had paid for 5 classes in September and its November and I have only taken 3. They cancel classes with NO notice, only found out my classes got cancelled was because I called them. They take weeks to reschedule new ones. Marvin is the only good person there. He is calm and patient and attentive when you drive. I had another instructor who was just plain rude. He would slightly yell when I did not know a question he asked and would constantly keep his hand on the wheel without needing to. Their poor communication skills also make it very difficult. When my classes would be cancelled, I would call and ask them to reschedule me and they told me to wait a week before calling again. I regret going to Sonias and when I finally get to finish my 5 classes that I had asked for months ago, I will not be taking the road test with them. There has been a lot of talk of Sonias purposely failing you so that you can spend your money there again. If I could give them 0 stars, I would.

The teachers are teenagers (boys) who just pass by on they phone and dont teach you anything unless you tell them to teach you. They should teach you what you are going to learn, for what you are paying to not only drive straight, they do not even teach the three points. They just go by angry yelling at you and talking to you in a disrespectful way. You are paying for them to give you driving classes to learn, not because I already know that they do not understand.

They don’t know about customer service! They are EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL! They said they called to confirm the class and road test, I have their number saved, they called ONCE and did NOT leave voicemail! And I came to find out they CANCELLED!After all the arrangements, day off at work... they simple cancelled and called me irresponsible for not answering the phone? Which type of business is this place? Awful. That’s all I have to say. They just care about the money! If I could I would give zero stars. People be aware and try to find an auto school where people are polite, have manners, answer the phone. I had to call 10 times in a row for them to answer me, and they called me irresponsible for not picking up ONE phone call from a different number and not leaving voicemail! I have to say , that at first i was a bit concern based on the reviews i read online about Sonias Driving school, but i decided to give it a try. Yes at first it was a bit difficult to get in contact with the school, it seemed that no one ever picked up the phone. Either way, i decided to go with Sonias driving school. After meeting the driving instructors for my practice test , i was relived, they really know their stuff, the instructors took their time and made sure you knew what your were doing in order to pass the actual road test. On the Day of My exam, i decided to take another practice test , and i am glad i did. the instructor made sure i was prepared for my road exam, and i PASSED the Road exam!!!!!!!. All in all , Sonias is a great driving school, i would definitely recommend this school to others. But be ware Sonias driving school gets really busy , which speak volume to their reputation!! am glad i chose Sonias Driving school !!!Thank you.NOM

Took road test, instructor didn’t even introduced himself. I made sure I looked my blind spots he noted that I haven’t check them??? Hello I’m taking a road test and not checking blind spots???After he told me why I failed I say so next time you gonna fail me again for some other little thing he said yes??!! He was very rude he needs basic skills to learn to be more professional.Also a note NOT to schedule 30-40 people at the same time we are still in pandemic.

They took me and one girl the same time the same car, for driving test. Girl drive first only straight. And he told passed. But I drived and turned. He told no pass. Fake stuff. Crazy trash

So , I had a very bad experience with this, first the one suppose to come over with sonia’s driving car he come always with his personal car and charge me cash and stress me out with talking on his phone on the time that he suppose to teach me . He just want money and he doesn’t care about you , very poor service and also He took let’s say appointment that I payed for 35$ and he didn’t make the payment for RMV . He canceled the appointment and I didn’t went to the test, So I tried to schedule new appointment now but I found that I have 85 $ to pay and when I called him He said call RMV there is nothing to do with me . My sister has been going to this school and comes home very disappointed. She does not live near by and has to commute. They have continuously cancel last minute. With her commuting there for and getting canceled with little to no notice. This is extremely unprofessional and unacceptable. Most The instructors have been on their phone and don’t pay enough attention. With that being said I will encourage parents and guardians to take their driving education seriously and find a different driving school. As a guardian it is important that our children get actual lessons, and not have to suffer late cancellations and unprofessional behaviors.

Honestly give the best tips and I got a lot out of driving just onces. Super helpful!! Would recommend to anyone

After I read the bad reviews I was hesitant at first to go to this driving school, but I took a few classes with Sandra and she was very helpful, always on time, and had a lot of patience. I feel a lot confident with my driving skills now. They never cancelled on me like the reviews say.

I decided to check it out since a few friends/family recommended. The secretary was so rude. She cancelled my appointment after leaving me a voicemail at 3 pm on a Saturday. Nobody explained to me their cancellation policy. And she refused to listen to the voicemails SHE left me to confirm that she had in fact NOT told me they would cancel my appointment. Worst customer service. They might help people get their license, but I hate a business that has poor service and lack of recognition to apologize for their mistakes.

I did my driving lessons in Lynn,MA with Sandra. It was such a good experience she’s very sweet patient and such a good teacher. She taught me everything I needed to know to pass. I would recommend her a 100% passed the road test on the first try. Thank you so much Sandra!

They don’t answer the phone and the secretary is very rude, and unprofessional. They make you pay $140 for a road test when you can pay $85 at the rmv. Very unprofessional and impolite. I’ll be honest, the driving classes are ok and they have some friendly staffs. However, going behind the wheel or taking a drivers test unveils what the school’s reputation. They expected you to know how to maneuver the vehicle but the issue I’m trying to get at, they didn’t teach how to control the car but they complain and yell. It ruins your confidence and the way you think about yourself when driving. Furthermore, they ask for way too much money for a driving test. It’s only $140 there, and you can get a test for about $30-$40 somewhere else. Driving instructors cannot be understood clearly and they do not provide you any support in driving, not even refunds. Also, they can act impolite and judgmental towards you. The examiners too, they are unprofessional and they show a lot of attitude. This place is a scam and people who say that had a good experience with it are people who have no idea how much money they wasted on. I don’t recommend this school at all, I do recommend somewhere else or practice with others if you can.

I had made an appointment and they said all my information got deleted so they never showed up for my appointment. And I was told I was a priority client for the next day and they called me mid day confirming the class and they still didn’t show up. Back to back.

I see a lot of bad reviews but i had an excellent experience. I took a practice test with them when i thought i was ready to get an idea of how the road test would be. My instructor was amazing and everything he told me to do was literally on the road test. After the practice test i called back and scheduled my road test. Marvin is the best, he has a lot of patience. Took about 10 classes with him. He tells you what you doing right and wrong. I pass my road test like in 5 min.

WORST DRIVING SCHOOL EVER! I unfortunately ignored the bad reviews and decided to use this “school” because of its proximity to my home. There is a reason there are so many negative reviews about this place - BELIEVE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS.I took one driving lesson ($40/1 hr) and it was fine, my instructor was kind and helpful. However, my issues began when I tried to schedule a road test. I was given a date for a road test, but they changed the date without informing me and charged me $35 for a road test I knew nothing about because they said I was a “no show”. I had to call at least 10x to get a refund for the fee. They lied and said they never scheduled a road test for me (I called the DMV to confirm that they had scheduled a road test).I would only recommend this school for driving lessons. DO NOT SCHEDULE A ROAD TEST WITH THEM! THEY WILL LIE AND TAKE YOUR MONEY!

I would recommend this place for anyone trying to get their license. Ask to drive with Jairo (Jay). He is an excellent teacher. Highly recommend this school and driving with Jay. He makes you feel comfortable and not afraid of the road. He’s the best!!

You get what you pay for. Sonia herself the all the employees are nice and definitely will helping you, but the class in a old living room remodeled to fit a class. The test are and material are made simpler for anyone to understand. I would definitely recommend it to any who wants to go to a driving school thats cheap and convenient.

Sonia was cool and all but when it comes to the actual test , the rmv guy and sponsor they talk to each other and don’t even pay attention to how you’re driving! If they fail you the first time for a stop sign that you did a full stop at , don’t go back! This happened to both me and a friend , this is there way of getting you to go spend another $140. Just head over to the actual rmv and pay $35! Also my friend failed both times after paying 140 and when she went to the rmv she owed $60 for taking the road test with Sonias , so you’re literally paying 140 for nothing!

Honestly this place is unprofessional, not only that they are unreasonable to charge people more then what they offer. Wow Great school , I passed my test here last year Aug 1, 2016, and wanted to comment here if anyone is looking for a driving school. Not only they are great but they are very kool and calm, and easy to understand them which is very important. great job Sonia, i got the chance to meet her , and she is awesome.

I read many bad reviews about this school here and in Yelp so I didnt want to give it a shot but I noticed that they have a relatively high passing rate about (80%) and I noticed that their price for a one hour driving lesson is very fair ($35/hour as of today 2-7-2016 ). So I called them and I scheduled an appointment. then I liked that so I took some more classes with Sonia and Carlos. I felt that I learnt different things from them. Also, I read some people mentioned that the receptionist was not helpful but surprisingly, I found her very kind and patient.Overall I had a very pleasant experience about taking classes at Sonias driving school. I think the instructors that I worked with were very nice, patient, and professional. they explained my mistakes to me and showed me how to fix it.I passed my road test in the first attempt. Honestly, I usually dont write reviews but I think this school is better than what is shown here, so I felt it is my responsibility to write a review about my experience.Good Luck =D

First time going for my road test and I passed without taking any classes. Was a little nervous about everything being in different places but overall everything was taken care of and I got it done. The price was a little high but the car was supplied which turned out great. Thank you.

Paid almost $600 upfront for a drivers Ed class would not schedule any one on one driving until two months after the class was completed and you already tested and had your permit. Left 2 messages with a love person for someone to call back, They never did. Left voicemails, never called me back either. Very poor communication skills with their customers information like that should be told up front so the person has the opportunity to decide if they want to take all these months. Also the customer service when trying to resolve issue is not good they could not give me any information of who I had to talk to when I should call back time of day he told me I should just keep calling until I reach somebody is the answer I was given.

People usually get mad when they fail their test and can’t accept their mistakes . Overall I had a great experience the staff was helpful .. it does take a while for them to pick up but when I vistited the office I understood why because the phone never stop ringing ! Do not go here. I booked my road test in beginning of September and my road test was supposed to be tomorrow and they told me my name was never on the list. Everytime I call them they never answer the phone. Do not waste your time and money on this.

Took my drivers road test today. Arrived to a very unorganized, but polite, staff. The building it is in is very cramped with barely enough seating. Old run down uncomfortable and small seating with nothing but four walls to look at. I did not take driving lessons from them first as I felt as if I did not need them. Fast forward to the actual test... I began to adjust the mirrors and the instructor told me to not bother because I did not need them. I am a tall fellow and could not see properly out of any of them. He was rude to me during the exam, and had no interest in being there stating that he would rather be in New York.

Worst DRIVING CLASS ever! The people don’t know what they are doing. I spent all my money taking classes with them, when I scheduled my road test they wanted to call me 1day before the test and tell me I’m not eligible to take the test with them. They had the worst excuse ever. I felt disrespected. The worst customer service representative . I wish I can give it 0 stars! They never answer the phone. When you go there, there’s 3 of them sitting around and just socializing buy can’t answer a phone call.

I have called a total of 4 times and left 2 voicemails trying to schedule a driving lesson. I even went in physically and after waiting in the lobby and being ignored I jusyt asked for them to take my number and call me to schedule a lesson. No one ever called me. I guess they dont want money or theyre profoundly incompetent at running a business.

I have put my daughter in driving school, they stood me up in my daughters class and they are so unprofessional. Very impolite and disorganized. They lack in informing me when they cancell or when they are not coming. They present as a good driving school but I realty its a terrible driving school.

If i can get a lower score I would. Very unorganized, liars and just try to scam people out of their money. I paid for my godson to get a junior operator license in 2017 as a Christmas gift. He started that following April 18 hes just now getting his license in 2019 he passed everything and was on time for every class. Dont teach how to drive either. He learned from us, he only really went there to get the hours. PLEASE STAY FAR FAR AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

Rude customer service, very unprofessional. I had scheduled a road test for Aug 30th like 2 days before they called me to cancel. I asked them why and they said they didnt know that it was the registry fault. I explained to them that I had a job set up for the following week the next closest date would be the 14th. I asked them how do I know this would not happen again. They said we garuntee it, so I continued to now book the 2nd road test. I got a call today saying it has been canceled again. I explained the situation I asked them why they would garuntee it if they couldnt keep their garuntee she then continues to speak over me basically says theres nothing they can do about it and if I wna reschedule for the 20th. I then asked again how do I know this wont happen again and she said basically we dont know any one can be canceled and its not our fault and theres nothing we can or will do for u no compensation not even a sorry just rude unprofessional slightly racist customer service. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone matter of fact after writing and reading their reviews I reccomend they shut this place down thats about it. Terrible company very unprofessional.

I just recently took driving classes with them and they were unprofessional the first time and then canceled again. I wanted a refund back becuse I told them I wasn’t learning anything and the instructor wasnt teaching me anything. The lady on the phone said it’s not their problem but they want my money. Very unprofessional my daughter took all her classes, when she call to schedule for her road test she wast told that she was missing half of the observation classes, she asked how that was possible and that she was going to speak with her instructor and she was told that she can t do that and that there was nothing she can do about it but to retake the hours again even though she has proof that she took the classes...the person was very rude they should be more professional since they are not doing this for free

DO NOT MAKE SAME MISTAKE AS I DID......I say, one of the worst things Ive ever done is to let my two kids take class from this terrible place. There is no ethics on this school (if you can call it school). Both of my kids have issues when scheduling their driving tests that Sonias driving school canceled without any previous notice but rather on same day of the scheduled tests. Their rule is that if you cancel you have to pay them a fee but the rule does not apply to them like if others people time is not valuable. Misplaced documents and schedules seem to be usual at this place. Not sure how state laws are applied but I dont think this school should have a license. I have to give one start rating to be able to post this comment but in reality it should be NOTHING.

I called to inquire about lessons, I told the person that I had read some reviews which stated that they cancel appointments on you. I told her that Im in a deadline and thats why this was important, I wanted some reassurance. Her answer was well if you dont want to come here thats your problem. I swear to God. I was expecting that people were exaggerating about their unprofesionalism and rudeness. I expected her answer to be, we only do that in very rare circumstances, we take our students seriously, boy was I wrong! I mean, why else pay so much money for lessons? Anyone can teach you to drive, but what you are paying for is professionalism. I tried to communicate with the beast again, I advised her that I had already scheduled my test with the rmv so all they would have to do was provide the car and the sponsor on the day of the test. She answered well its not upto us, if the rmv will accept or cancel. At this point I realized that these peopledo not want nor deserve my money. I was planning on signing up for the full package as well as extra lessons because Im Scared of driving, the test...etc. these people lost themselves I would say close to 800 bucks with their rudeness.what the hell do you mean??? That is complete bull. If the exam is already scheduled, their sponsors is properly certified, and their car meets the standard the test will most def not be cancelled. WOW I had taken 2 driving lessons with this place 1st was to take the nervousness off , 2nd was a few weeks later to brush up the day before my road test ! When I first started Sonias school it was great I did maybe 3 lessons and driving teachers said I was ready I didnt need no more lesson she canceled 3 road test with me blaming it on the RMV I personally have the RMV a call and they said they never canceled no road test with her I could never talk to Sonia she was never in the office the people that was running the front end was so rude it was making my stomach I end up getting my road test done in the matter of 2 days with another school name Auto City driving school dont waist your time here they want your money I called BBB on her

They book the road test when they want not when the learner wants. They over charged me. Not professional at all. And they just keep saying you have to take more lessons. It is all about money. I didnt pass my road test because according to him i took a sharp turn when i turned right.

The RMV charged me a $105 late fee because it was not cancelled with in a 72 hr period, they robbed me, did not care, did not handle the issue. I have to transfer to another driving school, and they refuse to transfer my infromation over the other school. This place is TRASH, the staff unprofessional.

My permit expires soon and every time you call none answers. Unprofessional and lack of communication. Im sure they are only in business due to the lack of driving schools in boston. Disgusted charging 35 and hr and they always cancel. (Booked my driver test to learned that i had to pay an extra 90$ in fees to get my license since sonias driving school kep on scheduling me with Rmv without my knowledge) Save your time and money and Look else where !

I seen all the bad reviews but for some reason I ignored them ... thats where I went wrong. Sonias made me wait a month then they claim they never even scheduled me I would have to wait 2 weeks from friday. It has been one week from Friday and they are calling saying that my test was this upcoming Friday but I have to wait another 2 weeks ? So unprofessional

I DO NOT recommend this place. Things are pushed back and records of you completing hours are lost. Got called back 3 times due to missing observation hours that I signed for. Place is very unorganized. Regret going through the whole process with them.

This place is a rip off!!! My son took 2 driving test and failed them both taking over 200 dollars from the boy for the 1st= he didnt put on his seat belt,,, now that 1 i can understand, ok. But the 2nd time he failed cause they say he parked too close to the curb! Are you kidding me, he failed and they took his money be cause he parked too close to the curb, not on it, not touching it, just too close. Sounds like a rip off to me!!!

Very very bad school, unorganized and unprofessional, they cancel tests when they want without consulting the students and they make them pay the cancellation fee. I think this is their way to make money.

They don’t have any respect for costumers.I did my schedule one month ago, and they cancel it for next week, and I waited one month I lost my money and my time.

Terrible driving school. Very unprofessional, I scheduled a road test 2months in advance, it was canceled the week of & rescheduled for 2weeks later. It took me to call the morning of my road test for Sonia to tell me that they moved my test for another week. Lack of professionalism, lack of courtesy, and very poor on time management.

I totally agree with the review after mine , the same thing happen with me .they are the worse. if I could I did not put any star over there.If someone said anything good about them, probably they have some kind of relationship with them, they are very unprofessional.
