Recording Connection has opened my eyes and ears as to how music gets made. I’m always thinking about the space where a song got recorded. I can usually hear some of the ambience in the background which gives me a good picture in my head of where that was recorded, how it was recorded, if they used a couple of microphones, whether it’s mono or stereo. It’s really interesting. The key for me has been to listen, take notes, write it down, go back to it and let it sink in, and practice, practice, practice, practice.

The ability to capture the emotion in a song through the recording process is, in my opinion, what defines success in your journey as an engineer. I’m excited to finally be getting into this journey through RC.
