Courageous is my favorite mission driven sailing school. I have learned so much there and met so many awesome people, and I love that youth sailing programs are funded by adult sailing lessons, events, and local sponsors. It is truly a staple of the community.

Took several lessons here and every instructor has been great. I have taken some lessons else where and I would recommend Courageous. I have also been a member for the last 4 seasons. Courageous is awesome. Highly recommend

Got a one-day membership for $65 and was able to take a 19 Rhodes on a one-hour cruise of Boston Harbor. The amazing Fergus accompanied me to check out my skills -- this bloke sailed completely around Ireland with his brother as a kid! I took up sailing this summer, and it was easy to transition to the Rhodes after several outings at my lake on a Flying Scot. Highly recommend this if youre in Boston -- I couldve had the boat all day had I had the time in my schedule.

Love the other reviews written here. Wish I and my fellow classmates had an experience like those described in other reviews. We were given a variety of instructors, only one of whom was helpful. Other instructors were outright hostile, abusive, or uninterested in anything but their own racing. The Courageous staff similarly are uncoordinated, alternately helpful / alienating. It’s as if no one really cares. If you’re really interested in getting into sailing, look elsewhere. There are many options available.
