This was easily one of the most fun experiences I have had in a very long time. Im new to the area and signed up on a whim to go by myself. Thankfully they organized it in groups and mine was hilarious/ very skilled. Chef Lukas was clearly an expert in his craft, but also incredibly warm and inviting to every guest. Hadley, his assistant, was also fantastic. It is pretty rare to find a local experience that is very organized and professional, yet equally as fun. Bravo food lab

After waiting for a LONG time to reschedule (our fault, not theirs) my husband and I enjoyed a great night out. We made and ate Argentinian food with Chef Andrew and his assistant Karissa. They were professional and knowledgeable and made the environment fun. We just received all the recipes today and look forward to making this at home in the future. Clever concept! Definitely worth a try for a special occasion or just a different night out.

This is one of those special places you find and never want to let go. We have attended two classes now and we were utterly BLESSED with meeting two of our new best friends during our first class. Since then we have made it our mission to attend once a month for a couples date night and it’s INCREDIBLE. I wish they would add an adult baking class but we can’t wait to keep crossing off classes!!!!!!!!!

Did a recent class and the instruction was fantastic. Food was great and Chef Jeff was great. This was my second class. First class was a month prior. Five stars.Only (large) issue was that we were packed into the main cooking area and were bumping elbows with the other (very nice) guests. Difficult to maneuver and not ideal coming out of the pandemic. Made it difficult to focus on the great instruction and food.Emailed FoodLab re the same with a picture. Did not hear back.

My husband and I participated in a virtual class tonight to learn how to prepare empanadas and were thrilled with our experience. We made two different types of empanadas: braised chicken (we are vegetarian, so we substituted mushrooms), as well as black bean and poblano. We also learned how to prepare fresh chimichurri and a seasonal greens salad topped with manchego and a sherry vinaigrette. The box of ingredients was organized very well, the produce was clearly fresh, and Chef Henrique was personable and very communicative with his instruction. My husband and I both learned several new cooking techniques, and the final results were delicious (and abundant!). We had a really fun evening following along and were happily surprised at how they accommodated the fact we were vegetarian. Well be sure to join in again in the future! Thanks, Food Lab and Chef Henrique!

The atmosphere was nice, but the food did not turn out good. The recipe ( for almost all dish - plant based Thai) had serious issues-- very little noodle, uncooked veggies, too crunchy and dull taste papaya, not a sweet desert no dipping etc. The cook was not convinced about my critics, she thought the food taste okay. Overall, I would recommend get your cool friends and cook at home, you will have better success of course if your goal is to end up with a nice dish. But i met with cool people, and it was fun.

I wanted to add a review to caution parents of kids with allergies who might do camps at this place. We sent information about our kids allergies before the camp started. My kid ended up having an allergic reaction at the camp because they used the ingredient that he is allergic. The food substitutions are done carelessly, or there was a mix-up and they wont admit it. When I brought this up with them, they did not accept any responsibility or even apologize.Their way of handling it was to tell me that the chef wont be using that ingredient for the next four days, so feel free to send your child to camp. (Which no parent in their right mind would do, because we understand the seriousness of allergies).Meanwhile, we were not only charged for the camp but also for the material cost. They should have had the courtesy to at-least offer a partial refund. Its against their policy, we were told. I wouldnt recommend them. Very unprofessional.

We attended the dimsum class. The concept and format of the class is really nice. I think its a nice way to get together and cook in groups. The class itself was a little disappointing. When I signed up for the class - I was expecting to make gyoza, steamed pork buns, egg rolls and smashed cucumber salad. However in the class instead of the steamed pork buns, there was a soba noodle salad that we were making. For the gyoza and the egg rolls we used wonton wrappers and deep fried both. I have never had a gyoza that was deep fried. It should be pan fried and steamed. It tasted like a crispy wonton and not a gyoza. Also there was a bit of a disconnect between what the instructor was asking us to do and the tablet with the recipes in front of us. Overall it seemed a bit disorganized and little unprepared in my opinion. Will probably have to try the other classes. But was not impressed with the dimsum class

When someone has a great concept such as Food Lab, poor business skills can negate the whole experience. That is our experience with Dave at Food Lab. This is what happened: Excited to celebrate my birthday week with my 2 boys by taking a taco class together, I registered for the Plant based taco class a month ago, The registration form asks for food allergies, which I filled out diligently, since my son has a severe allergy to cashews. We arrived tonight to the class only to find out that cashews were featured in the evenings recipes!!! Dave, someone should have let me know ASAP after I registered and paid so that I could choose another class! Do you realize how disappointing it was to find this out on the spot and to have to exclude my son?? What a ridiculous position you put me in having my ONE son LEAVE Food lab and not offering a refund. If you had actually read my registration, you would have seen I INDICATED a CASHEW ALLERGY and you SHOULD have called me. It is SO unprofessional of you to not be diligent about the form AND THEN NOT allow me to register the three of us for another class because you already bought the food!!!!Also, beware that they offer wine, and then tell you AFTER youve eaten and imbibed, that the wine is extra. Share that information up front. Its more honest.

Not as advertised, if you look at the main picture you see 2 people per station, in reality there will be 4.I should have read the Google reviews before signing up. I signed up to do this as a special occasion and apparently made an incorrect assumption that this was designed for couples or based on the website. When we got there we realized it is designed for teams of 4. This means every part of the meal is split to be cooked between 4 people not 2. I was extremely disappointed by this alone and wont be back.Edit - I am not sure how to reply to the response below, but I did reach out by email after the class to say that I was extremely disappointed and felt that I had been mislead by your website.I think it is odd that if you are doing a team of 4 that this is not mentioned on the website and that I would have had to call ahead to find that out.

My partner and I went to an Indian night here last month and it was okay. We had a lovely meal, but I walked away without an understanding of how to make it at home.Your group of four does the prep work together (ie cutting the veggies) but when it comes to the actual cooking, the layout was not well thought out. All the burners are together in the center of a really long table, so only one person in each group of four can see the pan and is doing the cooking. The other three are sitting far away and cant see what is happening. It was frustrating that we werent arranged in clusters of four, each at a table with our own burner. The setup might have been ok if our instructor had been narrating the process so everyone could learn, but he did not address the entire class to explain why we were doing things or what was happening. Whenever anyone asked him a question, like What oil are we using?, hed answer them directly instead of letting everyone in on the process. I was expecting way more instruction than he was providing, and I got the impression that he was a chef first and a teacher second.Overall I wasnt crazy about the setup of the space or our instructor, but its a cool concept! I had enough fun that I dont regret going, but youd have to convince me to go back.

**UPDATE: Spoke with the owner directly, she apologized for the mix up with the Menu and is offering a refund for the mistaken wine charge**PLANT-BASED Thai Food had meat in almost every recipe! I reviewed the dishes online before and none of them specified that there was meat included. Many of the guests were surprised and upset to learn that the menu had meat. The chef ended up removing the meat but he didnt have good substitutions on hand. Not his fault, he didnt develop the menu but PLANT-BASED Thai was very misleading. Additionally, we were charged for an additional beverage when we only had a bottle of wine. We tried to dispute the cost but the Chef was unwilling to remove the charge.

My boyfriend and I were looking in the area for a couples cooking class (you know, like sitting down with your SO and preparing a meal together) and found “Date Night in Greece” on Food Lab. It was a little pricey but the dishes sounded fantastic and the location is pretty convenient - we decided to give it a try. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a small meat & cheese board, water, aprons, a very excited chef and our own chopping board and utensils (one for me, one for him). Before the class started, the instructor informed us that we would all be divided in to groups (which we were very unhappy about). Unfortunately, we skipped out pretty early due to misinformation. TLDR: If you’re hoping for a cooking class with your BFF/SO, look elsewhere. This is a collaborative group project (you know, like the group projects you had to do but hated in school).
