Fun. But took 2 trips to BOULDER from LAKEWOOD because the pilot wasnt certified for the plane we needed due to weight and balance. Then on the second day a different pilot was an hour late. He proceeded to ask 2 people to cover for him and both pilots refused. Made us feel extra special! (NOT). Then when we got in the air it was so Smokey you couldnt see any of the Colorado beauty. I wish we would have at least been offered a Do Over due to all the circumstances. Anyway, We booked this through Virgin Experience as it was a 20th anniversary gift for my husband. Worth doing. Just maybe through a different company. Felt like we were second rate honestly.

Came in a couple weeks back to speak about flight training, the employee I spoke with, a tall, young gentlemen, was great - was teaching me about the intricacies of flying, hour requirements, facts about the aircraft etc…I went to sit on the couches in the building to do some further research, only to hear the owner/manager/whoever was ‘in charge’ lecture him about how it is ‘not alright’ to be engaging with potential customers as it is a waste of time; and instead, to ‘look busy and unavailable to talk’. What a terrible way of running a business. I felt rushed, disrespected, and unappreciated. The manager seems like they treat their staff terribly & don’t appreciate their enthusiasm and willingness to help. It is a shame too, as I was recommended to fly here by a friend, who pursued their license back in 2016-2017I am now at Rocky Mountain flight school at the Rocky Mountain airport in broomfield, and am LOVING it. Positive environment, GREAT management, and everyone seems happy to be there.

This is the best FBO Ive ever been to. Theyre friendly, professional, helpful, and just straight up fun to be around! The flight school has fantastic instructors and is fairly priced. The facility itself is excellent (and newly renovated). The donuts are plentiful and the coffee is black.

Walked in and scheduled my IPC for the following week. I flew with Gregg Anderson and he provided great, professional instruction throughout the IPC process. The 172 we flew was well taken care of and in great condition for its age. If I come to the area again, Id come to Journeys again!

The staff are polite and professional, the facility is clean and tidy, the coffee and donuts are plentiful. It is the epitome of a flight school and an airport. I would recommend both to anyone.

Always a good stop in the Denver area much cheaper than any surrounding FBO for tie down. Great fuel prices and great staff who always make sure you are taken care of. Their flight school is always busy and the instructors are all very friendly and care about giving the best training out there.

Awesome FBO, awesome school, awesome instructors. I have been flying with them for over 3 years now and have flown with 7 different instructors through the years. Most of my PPL instruction was with Will Matthews; a great instructor who taught me with ease and efficiency. All the instructors I flew with had the utmost concern for teaching me well, keeping me in the loop with excellent constructive feedback, and I really appreciate that. If you are looking for flight instruction in the area, this is the place to go!

I took a discovery flight today. What a great experience. I stopped by about a week ago to check them out. Jeff spent at least an hour with me showing the planes and explaining how the flight school worked. I came back today and flew with Lawrence. He went over everything with me starting with how to check aviation weather. Then we did a complete preflight check on the airplane. Except for a few critical items, I taxied and flew the plane the whole time. Very cool.Ive checked three other flight schools in the past month. They were at two different airports, one of which I took my very first discovery flight. I had nothing to compare it to, but still wasnt sure.Let me tell you, these guys are great. Driving to Boulder is not as convenient as the other two airports, but they will earn my business by their attitude and taking the time to explain everything I wanted to know (which was a lot)

I came in the other day, Friday Morning, to acquire some information regarding flight training. I was rather disgusted with the impression I received. The gentlemen at the counter (who was in his early to mid 40s) seemed extremely disinterested in helping me and more interested in socializing with the other employees. When he finally did begin helping me, which seemed like a task more than an opportunity, another employee (grizzly beard, overweight, who turned out to be a flight instructor) kept interrupting my questions to the point where I almost had to ask him to stop talking. I was hoping to speak with the manager in order to gain more information from hopefully a more professional source, however, he was out of town. In order to rid my self of the obnoxious instructor I asked for some info and decided to sit on the couch away from the employees to read over it. At this point I could over hear the same two employees gossiping about another customer. That really made me want to sign up for lessons....not. The staff was rude and obnoxious and very unprofessional. The only good thing I have to say about this business is that they offer some very beautiful airplanes. I will be looking for flight training elsewhere.

Dont know how Journeys could realistically get any better (unless if was free). They have the planes people want to rent (172s, 182, DA40s, Arrow), they are always staffed since they are the FBO, multiple instructors, kind and helpful staff, and very informative. They all knew me by name the second time I came in, makes it feel like a small flying club rather than a business. With their planes, I think they can get students certs from private, high performance, complex, mountain, instrument, instructor, and commercial. Only thing missing is taildragger as far as common endorsements go.Would recommend to a friend anytime.

The employees working at the FBO are always helpful and enthusiastic, and you wont find a more welcoming atmosphere anywhere! The FBO throws a fee BBQ every Friday, and it is so cool to see employees, friends, instructors, students, and pilots all hanging out having a good time.I was disappointed to see the recent negative reviews, but Im guessing they are fake based on the circumstances they describe and the names.

I understand a business trying to create a fun environment, but the way this place acted was ridiculous. While I was in there the staff kept goofing around and playing pranks on each other. Id understand this attitude from a staff composed of teenagers, however, these guys were in their 30s and 40s. Time to grow up, especially if you are operating a business as serious as aviation. The next major issue I had was their rental agreement term. Apparently if one of their aircraft has a catastrophic failure in flight, YOU, the renter are responsible for all of the damage. The guy working the front desk said that they dont actually enforce that, and its just language to protect the company...REALLY!?!?! If you arent going to enforce that why would you make me sign a legal document saying I would comply. The other reviews really summed up what the professional environment of this business represents. I found it especially funny that the only good review came from one of their staff, who then had the nerve to claim the other reviews were fake.

Flew in the other day to visit Boulder. The city is beautiful and the airport is very BUSY! I couldnt find anoyne at the FBO to help me and when I called no one answered. Being the middle of the and day, and the building being unlocked, I had hoped I could get service. I ended up having to use the self serve and the fuel is EXPENSIVE. In fact, according to fore-flight, fuel from Journeys is more expensive than any of the surrounding airports. HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!!! Really it would not have been a big deal, but the service was poor.
