I needed to find a way to continue learning Spanish beyond the basic grammar classes. Fortunately I found Varon and Boulder Spanish. Varon is a very good teacher, very patient and friendly. Our classes are small. We do a lot of different things that help us to continue learning Spanish and to encourage us to practice speaking. It has worked out well for me.

I began classes with Boulder Spanish about 3 months ago and immediately recognized an improvement. The classes are extremely engaging-- I love learning with other students at my level, and the teachers are all excellent. I also love the flexibility of the schedule and all the different course offerings. I highly recommend Boulder Spanish to anyone looking for beginner classes, looking to better their Spanish foundation, or just to brush up on your skills.

I started taking Spanish lessons through Boulder Spanish via zoom last month. The instructors are great, very patient, and most are native Spanish speakers. Im doing a group class, and private tutoring, and Im enjoying both. Im looking forward to speaking Spanish well enough to participate in their Culture classes as well, which include things like cooking classes, or watch parties (all in Spanish of course). Im especially happy with their focus on conversation, and being able to communicate in Spanish in real-life situations. Someday I hope to attend in person, but for right now, zoom is a good alternative.

I started taking Spanish with Boulder Spanish in October. It was the best decision! I really enjoy the classes and Im truly learning to speak the language. While Im looking forward to the day we can have in-person classes and do more of the cultural programs, I have to say the classes through Boulder Spanish work really well on Zoom. They are the one bright light of these pandemic days!

Excellent service and product. I felt my instructor Varon went above and beyond to be accommodating to me when I needed a little extra help or needed to reschedule a class. The best advice I can give is to take leaning a new language seriously. Its work. But the instructors made it as easy as possible for me. Gracias Varon!!

Boulder Spanish has been such a treasure during the pandemic for me. Varon and his team have been so welcoming, even when I moved 3 hours away. Varon puts a lot of consideration into his specific classes and is always providing interesting ways to learn Spanish. Ive made friends out of the class Ive been attending for the last 9 months. I highly recommend working with Varon and attending one of the many classes available during the week.

My daughter started Kindergarten in a bilingual school this year, and I was looking for a way to learn Spanish to support her at home. I am so happy to have found Boulder Spanish! I had no previous knowledge of Spanish before I started, but after just a few months, I am now able to read and understand simple children books and converse in Spanish at a basic level. I attend 2-3 morning/afternoon classes during the week and the class sizes are small (usually 3-6 people), so we get lots of practice speaking with, and listening to, a native speaker. I would highly recommend Boulder Spanish if you are serious about learning or improving your Spanish!

I strongly recommend Varón and Boulder Spanish. I have also taken private Spanish classes in New York City and Denver, and Boulder Spanish is the most effective and most fun. I’ve been taking classes for nearly two years and had nearly all the teachers. They are all dedicated and truly skilled instructors (and really interesting people to get to know, too!). Teachers choose a variety of materials to use in class, all of which reinforce learning and make it more likely to stick, such as reading short stories and books in Spanish, games, music, and traditional grammar or vocabulary lessons, as well as meet ups involving cooking or eating or idiomatic expressions. You really learn about culture, too, which is an added layer of learning and engagement. Class sizes are small so you definitely get personal attention. I could not recommend Boulder Spanish more and look forward to class every week. Come join us!

I started taking classes as a total beginner student in real life in the beginning of 2020. Since the classes have moved online due to COVID19 concerns the quality of classes has been just as good as it was in real life. Every teacher is amazing, kind and helpful. I love learning with them as they make learning fun and easy! There are endless resources offered by Boulder Spanish. I would recommend the online classes to anyone in the world. Muchas gracias Boulder Spanish!

I really love this place. Its a jewel in Boulder! All the teachers are skilled and fun and sincerely want us all to be better at Spanish. Today, I showed up for a class that didnt actually exist (a mistake made by me), but since a teacher was free, they just let me have a private lesson.

I started attending Boulder Spanish about a month ago and I am extremely impressed with the staff and the structure of the school. The staff is dedicated to helping students advance with their Spanish language ability as fast as they are able. And the structure is unbelievable! Once you have enrolled for any series of classes (only 5 weeks) you are free to attend as many other classes as you want. Personally, I am highly motivated to learn Spanish in a short time so I am attending several classes a week and it is beginning to feel like an immersion course. The school also offers one-on-one instruction if you need some extra help. They also host a Spanish Meetup every other Saturday if you want to get a feel of the school. Although the Saturday class is more of an opportunity to have some fun with a terrific teacher from Spain who also teaches some of the classes in the regular program.

I had been working with a Spanish language app for a couple years but really needed to have more conversations. Boulder Spanish and Varón have filled that need perfectly. The classes are very comfortable and my learning has definitely accelerated. There have been quite a few Aha moments when he has explained things that finally clicked that were not explained well on the apps. I look forward to many more lessons.

Boulder Spanish offers all you need to learn Spanish! You can attend additional classes during the week, there are tons of resources on their website, there are also text books and vocabulary resources and learning materials that Boulder Spanish uses specific to their course of study. Class sizes are small, instructors are dedicated and skilled, and they have great parties to practice your Spanish real-time in a fun setting! The only thing holding you back from learning Spanish in record time is your own dedication to putting in the time! Muchas gracias Boulder Spanish!

I was a complete novice starting Spanish class, and in 7 weeks I can comprehend at a basic level, am learning sentence structure, and am able to have simple conversations. I certainly didn’t expect to learn as quickly as I am. And have fun at the same time!Teachers, Nicole and Yolanda are amazing in learning-made-fun. My main instructor(and Director), Varon, is patient, funny, energetic, creative, and helpful. He works hard to go out of his way to help you succeed. He met with me one-on-one (twice) to ensure I was getting the attention I needed and to ensure I was able to keep up with my classmate. The class sizes are small, 3 to 5 students on average, which I really appreciate not just for learning, but also, for the social interaction. Varon plans and schedules learning activities outside of class to engage with other students, which is a real plus, again for the cultural and social aspect.I recommend Boulder Spanish for a blast of rapid learning, high energy, friendly instructors, a comfortable environment, and fun!

My level of Spanish acquisition has improved noticeably since I began studying with Varon and Boulder Spanish. I enjoy the conversations with my fellow students and the topics are interesting. Varon is an excellent instructor and facilitator. (I am a retired teacher so I have a background in sound instructional methods.) Im in the Reading & Conversation class which builds vocabulary and reinforces grammar.I highly recommend Boulder Spanish.

I’ve been a Spanish student with Boulder Spanish for a few months now, and I can confidently say that I’d recommend this organization to anyone looking to learn or enhance their Spanish. Varon and other teachers keep things fun and light, which I think is a great way to learn within small group formats. The additional outside the classroom social activities (i.e. hikes, trivia, dancing, cultural lessons, and drinks) that are included with your tuition are more great ways to meet others learning Spanish and are a perfect way to practice with those eager to do so. I plan to stick with Boulder Spanish for many more months, and encourage others to check them out!

Boulder Spanish is a wonderful place to learn Spanish. Once you enroll, you have full access to all the classes as well as frequent meetups, free of charge, and there are a variety of levels from Basic to Advanced. Additional events and meetups with special topics, such as cooking, are offered for a small fee. These meetups and additional classes are such an incredible benefit if youre able to take advantage of them. Unfortunately Im usually only able to attend one class per week, but in combination with Duolingo and several Spanish podcasts (Coffee Break Spanish, Duolingo, and News in Slow Spanish especially), my skills are steadily improving. Ive had classes with both Varón and David and cannot speak of them highly enough, as teachers and as human beings. The majority of my classes have been with David, and every week is a joy. Content is structured but flexible, and conversation is NEVER dull. David provides just the right balance of patience and challenge, which makes for an ideal environment in which to learn. If youre looking for somewhere to improve your Spanish, please check this place out.

I am really enjoying my experience with Boulder Spanish. Varon, the founder, is very personable and easy to get to know. He is also very passionate about getting people to speak spanish! I have taken Spanish classes before - while living in Chicago - but Boulder Spanish does a much better job of supporting me in my efforts to find daily outlets to practice my spanish. The books replicate very much of how Ive learned languages before of helping you to recognize verb conjugation patterns. Come join us!!!

I love Boulder Spanish! I started studying here over a month ago and was super stoked when I learned that you can take as many classes as you want during your 5 week course. Basically you have one class each week which is your regular class and additionally you can attend any of the other classes that the school offers. I am way into getting the best bang for my buck so for me this sold me on the school! I have had a few teachers and have landed with one that I really like and am excited to try out the other teachers too. I have learned so much Spanish in the past month and a half and am continuing to study here for god knows how long. Also Boulder Spanish hosts a lot of meet ups which only add to the possibility of mimicking an immersive Spanish experience here in Boulder. They also focus on getting us students to look up (instead of at a book) and speak Spanish as we would in the real world. They keep it very real and challenge us to get comfortable speaking Spanish even if it is not perfect.Gracias Boulder Spanish!

Ive tried a lot of different Spanish language programs over the years with varying results and experiences, but I have to say that Varón Osorio is doing something unique at Boulder Spanish. Not only is the method of teaching the language first rate, but more importantly there is a tangible feeling that in his classes you are part of a community of people who really care about each other. This is probably because, for Varón, teaching Spanish seems to be so much more than a job, and rather a true vocation, which you feel every time youre in his class. I would strongly recommend Boulder Spanish to anyone who is serious about taking their Spanish to the next level!

This Spanish school is excellent. Varon makes each class interesting and challenging. We have had several guest teachers sharing their lives and passions from their native Spanish speaking countries. Varon always has the time and the patience to explain otra vez my problems with grammar and pronunciation. But most of all the classes are fun!

I have been taking weekly Spanish lessons from Varon for over a year. Sometimes in groups and more frequently one on one. Varon is not content to just teach grammar, vocabulary etc., but instead uses short stories, novels, history, games, and thought provoking questions to expand your knowledge of both the language and culture from Tierra del Fuego to Catalonia. He has successfully brought together students who are really interested in learning Spanish, but also enjoy learning from one another. Varon is terrific!
