We have been so happy with Persimmon for both our 1.5 and 4 year old kids. We couldn’t ask for more. Our kids love going to school everyday, the food is really healthy and they have already made great friends. We aso love their focus on gender equality and diversity. All around wonderful experience, 100% recommended!!!

We love absolutely everything about this daycare - we have been sending our kids for over four years, since they were Childrens Alley, and have continued sending them now that they are Persimmon Early Learning. Over the years the care and the facilities have only gotten better! The teacher-to-child ratio is fantastic, the staff are some of the most genuinely friendly, kind-hearted people we have ever met, and their communication is always wonderful. We love that they offer a sliding scale for payment, and that they provide really healthy and delicious snacks and lunch for the kids. My sons have been introduced to foods there that I would never be able to get them to eat at home initially, but they now love! We also love that they provide such a rich variety of activities, from water play in the summer to snow play in the winter, as well as nutrition classes, fitness classes, painting, coloring, building...I could go on forever!

I couldnt be more thrilled with our experience at Persimmon Early Learning. The teachers are highly invested in the care and development of each child, the classrooms and playgrounds have recently been beautifully updated, and the nutritional meals and snacks are awesome! I especially appreciate the programs communication and mission-driven approach to their culture. Their location is also unbeatable in Boulder (we often pick up our son and then walk only a couple blocks away to enjoy dinner downtown!). We have watched our child grow as a super happy and well-adjusted kid, in big part thanks to the quality of the program. The facility is highly respectful of safety and Covid-19 protocols. Its wonderful that the kids also enjoy little field trips downtown to the Boulder Public Library, fountains, Pearl St, etc. Every day is a new adventure, and we couldnt be happier to be part of their community - would highly recommend to any parent!!

We were so privileged to have our infant-turned-toddler learn with the teachers and staff at Persimmon. Thank you for loving my child, being her other mother and being a safe home throughout the pandemic. The teachers provide a nurturing environment coupled with rigorous, age appropriate child development curriculum/practices. The flexible hours and affordable rates are the icing on the cake. 11/10 recommend Persimmon.

We are on kid #3 and every one of them has attended the YWCA since back when it was the Childrens Alley. We love the staff and so do our kids. Weve been around for a while and have met several teachers, all who have been amazing and caring. The daycare itself is well taken care of and a few of the rooms have been recently remodeled. We cant recommend it enough!

New to CO and new to parenthood, we decided to give the YWCA a try with our first son 4 years ago. He is still attending on a regular basis and now our 9 month old is part of the team too! I can only imagine the difficulties of running an operation involving children, but the staff of this organization has been truly professional and caring in dealing with the growth and development of our 2 kiddos. Before the pandemic, I visited plenty when picking up and dropping off and was always satisfied with the activities and interactions between teachers and kids. Thank you for all you do!

We could not be more grateful for finding Persimmon Early Learning. The pandemic has been a.scary time, but the protocols have kept our little safe. The drop off/pick up times are flexible to meet nearly every schedule. They even accommodate our kiddo eating vegan! We have loved the experience and our kiddo looks forward to going every workday.

This place is awesome and one of the first place my child went for care. We were in an emergency DV situation and I needed something quick! They are reliable and affordable for Boulder hands down!

Both of my children have been in and out of Childrens Alley over the last 8 years. The staff here is amazing. They have great communication and it seems like they truly care about each child. We have had excellent experiences every time we have put our kids in there. Thank you for being so awesome!

We have had a wonderful experience in the infant room. Our baby is happy to arrive each day and enjoys the teachers and other babies. The teachers are great about keeping us informed about his day.

I wish they were a long term childcare, this is such a fantastic place. My baby boy loves the carers and is well looked after here.

The care here has really taken a turn for the worse. In the past it was warm, welcoming, a great resource for the community. No longer. The new director is very cold, uncaring and extremely difficult to communicate with. The staff is unfriendly and not welcoming. The majority of the teachers seem unqualified, impatient or not engaged. Its sad our community has lost what was once a wonderful resource.

When I picked up my 17 month old, his class was outside on the playground. 1 teacher with a group down some steps in a sandbox, 1 teacher talking to some parents, my child off by himself in a corner with a sunburn. I had brought sunblock too. It was a different set of teachers from when I dropped him off(2 hours before) and they couldn’t tell me if he’d eaten anything, they didn’t know his name, and I found his sippy cup in another child’s belongings. When I called later to inform them, and ask why no sunblock was used, I was met with an attitude of dismissal. They were obviously annoyed at my concerns.
