I couldn’t be happier with my daughter’s first experience with daycare. Rita goes above and beyond to make both child and parent feel safe and supported while under her (and her staff’s) care. In her home setting she provides an intimate, warm, and welcoming environment for children to play and learn. Her philosophy promotes respect of others and all beings as well as child self advocacy among peers and adults. She provides home cooked and predominantly organic and healthy meals and snacks (heavy on the vegetables - which I loved!).Most importantly, Rita is just a giving and caring person. Whether it be navigating the rocky waters of expecting a new sibling or the frustrating endeavor of potty training your child she is there to listen and provide advice and resources (if asked for) as well as support in any way that she can. When you send your child to Strawberry farm you are also gaining a community. Rita opens her home (and kitchen!) to parents and children for holiday parties, birthday celebrations, and meet and greets. My daughter loved her time at ‘Miss Rita’s’. I highly recommend Strawberry Farm!

My child has attended Strawberry Farm Preschool for 2 years now. I love how the teachers use a whole-child approach to teach children about relationships with others, themselves, and the environment. My child has grown empathy, kindness, and joy at Strawberry Farm. Children spend lots of time outside. Teachers use Love & Logic as a guide and play based learning. My childs strengths have been nurtured and she has been given tools to work through challenges.

Strawberry Farm has been such a gift to our family. After trying to find a preschool for my son (and not finding anywhere with room!), a friend of mine alerted me to SF. I went in for a visit and it felt like to perfect place for him to start his school journey. Rita is flexible, communicative, fun, and compassionate to families and to the children. Her approach is FUN and she achieves this in all areas of the day care from music, art, clean-up, and food! We love Strawberry Farm!

Miss Rita has so much love for her children. This was the perfect introduction to a school setting for my twins. A home feeling, with structure. Small and sweet. Healthy meals and snacks were a bonus. Rita uses music and love and logic, and has created such a sweet space.

Both my children went to Strawberry Farm, one for a year and the other for 1.5 years. We loved it. Rita and her staff were so loving, so caring - both kids asked for them after school and on the weekend. They learned manners, practiced coping mechanisms, and got the focused attention of the small student:adult ratio. We made long term friends with the families we met there, and can never thank Rita enough for how she improved all of our lives.

We absolutely LOVE Strawberry Farm and are so happy we found it! They are outside all the time, go on field trips, read tons of books, eat amazing home made food, and it is spotlessly clean! They do a wonderful job teaching them lessons and manners. The teachers truly love the children and nurture them in all ways.

Strawberry Farm is a wonderful school that allows children to learn and grow. Ms. Rita creates a loving environment for kids to thrive. I would recommend Strawberry Farm to anyone looking for a school with a positive environment to expand their child’s mind and spirit.

Our two kids went here for 2 years. Its great. Miss Rita is a constant and runs the ship. Several other caretakers have rotated through and theyve all been great too. Miss Rita can pick em well. Our kids have learned, grown, socialized, and played a ton—exactly what they need. When we first moved to town, we looked for daycare options in every prospective neighborhood, which is to say a lot. The yard at Strawberry Farm was the first indication this place is the best. Its a huge yard. Theres a car area for driving, grass area, playhouses and slides, sometimes a bouncy house, sometimes a sprinkler, always a sun-protected sandbox. In the summer, theres a sun shade canopy over the kid-height picnic table and benches. Theres a garden the kids help with. Inside is cozy. The whole downstairs is for kids—a quiet, dark nap room, another nap room for the youngest so they can sleep longer, a music room, cozy living room, a kitchen, and a bathroom with changing station/small toilets and sinks the kids can reach. The schedule is posted in the entrance hall. The kids have drawers and hanging pockets for delivering and picking up things.More about sleep: Our oldest had just turned 3 and we were lucky there was a spot open. The little one was 1 and no spot. He went somewhere else that was...fine...he was safe and fed. However, maybe they never turned the lights off? or didnt have a quiet room? hard to imagine but he didnt nap. They said he wouldnt nap, which was nonsense. At pick up sometimes he was asleep literally on the floor of the main room. Hed sleep in the car/bike, pass out at home and barely revive for dinner. We had to move him ASAP. Once with Miss Rita, he napped perfectly fine without any trouble. Such a relief. They have healthy food and snack every day. Lunch is prepared and the menu posted daily (I love that). They occasionally take fieldtrips to the library and a local Italian restaurant (and send along any leftovers). They have circle time and interactively enjoy story books every day. They learn manners, taking turns and polite language that has been very helpful to use at home.Life is never always smooth and to help with that, Rita will always make time to discuss concerns and issues. Weve talked to her when we wondered about our kids and she talked to us when there was something we could help with. That communication is important.

Our family had a wonderful experience at Strawberry Farm. My son adored Ms. Rita and she was so great with him! I was really impressed with the manners my son learned from Strawberry Farm and how he learned to play with kids of various ages and function well in a group. I also really appreciated that it was a good mix of play time and educational activities...and excellent, healthy food options!

We had a really great experience with Strawberry Farm. Its a great mix of respect/manners/responsibility and creativity/arts/loving affection. My son has learned tons - colors, numbers, some Spanish, shapes, how to play well with others his own age and smaller, and at 3.5 can nearly write his own name.

My grandchildren have attended Strawberry Farm since they were 2 year olds. They love the program and Miss Rita. She is the most kind, gentle and patient person. She is very knowledgable about childhood development and as a result, my grandkids have thrived under her watch. We are so grateful for all Miss Rita has done for our family.

An absolute disappointment. Teacher is constantly one her phone. Only one teacher. Unorganized and unprofessional
