They say it takes a village to raise a child, and I’m grateful that the women at Mountain View Preschool are my son and my family’s village. The teachers at Mt. View are exceptional. I feel that each one has an invested and emotional interest in my son’s happiness and growth - regardless if they are my son’s “assigned teacher.” My schedule isn’t typical, so I usually drop off my son in the middle of a preschool session. Each day, he runs in the classroom to join in with his peers and an engaged teacher. Mt. View uses play-based learning that is intentional and thoughtful. Each day, there are novel activities strategically laid out and for children to flexibly use. Also, there is no other organization in Boulder that has positively influenced my opportunities as a woman more than Mt. View. Two years ago, I resigned from my teaching job partially because of the cost of daycare. Slowly, I felt my skills and connections slipping away. Mt. View gave me the gift of getting back to feeling like me again with their flexibility. I was able to create a custom schedule that allowed me to pay for only what I need while going back to work part-time.This enchanting and darling school has brought stability and joy to our family, and it wouldn’t have been possible without the director Amy and her army of angels who teach because they love children and the art of their profession.

Our son has just graduated from 3 years of attendance at Mountain View. It is a vibrant place full of wonderful teachers and happy kids and parents, and they did a great job socializing and educating him. All the teachers are approachable, attentive and friendly and they genuinely care about the kids. Most importantly, our little guy loved going every time, which hopefully will set him up for liking school as he gets older. I recommend it highly.

As a child, I attended Mt. View Preschool, along with my sister, brother and some of our friends. I returned there the other day, and the memories flooded back. I suddenly remembered fun-filled days on the unique playground, the engaging activities and the learning that became the basis for my love of education.I am graduating in December with a Master of Arts in English, and think that it all started at Mt. View with the loving, caring teachers and the play-based activities. This is an excellent preschool, and I look forward to sending my two daughters there when they are old enough.

After visiting 7 preschools to see where my 3-year-old should attend, another mom told me about Mt. View. I thought I had already made up my mind but figured Id check out one more. Turns out I saved the best for last! I looked at everything from Montessori to Waldorf to other church-based preschools and this one impressed me the most. Now that my daughters been going there for several months, she absolutely loves it and wishes she could go every day. The teachers are great and genuinely care about each child. The parent involvement also stood out for me; at some schools you never have the opportunity to meet parents of children your kid is associating with. Highly recommend Mt. View and will be sending my toddler here too when hes old enough.
