Raising children involves constant attention to their development and progress. Identifying learning disabilities must be part of your plan. When you have your child attend Granite Academy it means you dont have to worry as much. It means you can enjoy your child as a child. It means staff are there with you and cheer on small goals and big gains.

Granite Academy has been an excellent fit for our special needs teenager and we are very happy with how the school and staff were able to pivot to remote learning as the Covid 19 pandemic hit earlier this year. TheGA teachers were able to stay connected to our child providing daily academic and social/emotional support and interaction. We are thankful that in person learning resumed this fall and feel confident that GA is prepared in the event that we return to a fully remote environment.

As a guardian of a child with special needs (social/emotional), I have been extremely impressed with the professionalism, commitment, creativity, therapeutic support, and genuine warmth of the Granite Academy team. When COVID-19 pandemic hit, my child had a really difficult time - they needed to be connected to the students, teachers, and support staff. The GA team made sure that we had regular contact with teachers and school counselors, continued classes virtually, helped my child stay engaged and feel like part of the community - even remotely!! They truly went above and beyond. I cannot speak for my child, but I can tell you how much being a student at Granite has made a positive impact on our lives! I gotta say: WE LOVE GRANITE ACADEMY!

It is not often a family can get the support they need at school. When you walk in the door at GA you are supported, heard and see growth in your child. You will then see your child reach new heights. As a parent I cant thank you Granite enough for everything they have done. As a family we have grown so much.

My partner and I have found a home for our transgender son. The staff have supported their full transition. They go to school each day happy and full of hope. Their anxiety has decreased a great deal

Our son came to Granite at 13, on the heels of a hospitalization and after months of surviving in crisis mode. He left at 18 a confident young man, who can successfully advocate for himself, work through his emotions, champion for others and start on the road to being a productive and valued member of society. Granite was a life changing stop for our family. The structure, the teachers, the staff, the empathy and the patience that encompasses everything and everyone who sets foot on campus is palpable. I would recommend Granite Academy for any child who may struggling with emotional and mental health issues. The Granite Academy staff, from the top of administration to the cafeteria staff are all caring, patient and life changing caretakers. I can’t say enough about this amazing place! I wish our son could have stayed there forever!!

This is the worst environment for kids who need help with their anxiety, depression, suicidal thoughts and actions...it does the exactly opposite of what a “therapeutic” school is supposed to do, I have never been in a place that makes my anxiety worse or triggers me more than Granite Academy. The staff treat the students like we’re not people and what we want and what we’re feeling doesn’t matter, I promise you this school will make your child 100x worse and cause them more suicidal thoughts and actions, please please please do NOT send your child here.

I am currently going to this school you may have seen my last review and that was a joke I personally think that they have a very positive learning environment and are very supportive of a lot of things that people need and I’m giving it 4 stars because the lunches aren’t particularly my favorite.
