I finally found someone who could plainly explain the difference between dancing salsa On-1 and On-2. Im a musician who likes to dance and have been dancing for a while. Ive taken classes here and there and have learned a lot, but did not realize I was dancing on 1; I was just going through the motions, until Boogie Down Dance Studio.Johnny Rumbas approach was unique and as a musician it was easy to recognize the similarities between playing salsa music and dancing on-2. WOW! I feel liberated. Dancing on-2 is fun to dance and its especially ideal for musicians!If youre interested in learning the Other System, On-2, I highly recommend everyone to check out Johnny Rumba and the Boogie Down Dance Studio. A nice class and great atmosphere as well!

I’ve been going to this dance studio for a little over a year and thanks to Johnny I’ve improved immensely with my Salsa dancing! Not only does he help students individually, he is also great at keeping an entire group involved in the dance lesson. There is a lot to learn here from Salsa to Bachata, Tango and more! It is danced in time two. The teacher explains very well. You feel confident. It is relaxing, I love it! I recommend it!
