Although the curriculum and concept behind the school is great, the administration at this particular location needs to be considered before you send your child here.

Disclaimer: we are conservative in our life choices... our decision 2 go outside of the Williamson county public schools was based on the encroachment of policies and philosophies into the public schools.... policies we intended to leave behind in California, so proffer from that what u will:We looked at all the private school options, cost was NOT an issue as we had only 1 child. My wife had attended a Montessori so we decided to look at those options; I knew nothing about Montessori education so i am going to give you my perceptions because they were significant.when i walked into the class room the first thing i noticed was the environment- i build homes so these things jump out to my eye...... there were no Florescent lights cement floors or cinderblock walls..... all cold impersonal things that people would never have in their homes...... let alone a creative learning space for kids...... the was art on the walls, rugs and carpets, atomizers & essential oils like sandalwood, plants, even a fish bowl and a pet guinea pig.....There were books and learning supplies neatly put away, a small kitchen and two bathrooms...... a glass door to the outside, and a wall of windows with greenery on the other side...... natural light.... if i were to build a space for my daughter to take class- it would look an awful lot like this....the age range was also curious- there were 1st, 2nd & 3rd graders all sharing space.... & working side by side.... conspicuously absent was the 21 desks & the teacher standing up dictating..... they were all working on things they were interested in- older kids helping younger ones...... student led learning- its called..... you can read the philosophy of Maria Montessori- i dont really claim 2 understand how it all goes together but it does & it works well...... kinda like my Car......there were 2 teachers - 21 students, the ratio is amazing for the kids..... this is the educational equivalent of concierge medical establishments..... the kids get the attention they need & can work at their own aptitude ..... if bob is really good at math- in 1st- he can work on 2nd 3rd grade math even though he may be at 1st grade level in reading ...... the kids get what they need and they can walk... or run depending on aptitude... kids accept that every one works & learns at different speeds...Lunch....... they eat in their rooms and everyone has the same lunch box (oh and there are uniforms)- kids dont bring processed foods, sweets and such to class- they are expected to eat healthy meals they bring with them..... and they sit together in assigned seats which change ever week..... so all kids get to eat lunch with all the other kids at one time or another..... bathrooms-in the class.... kids all have water bottles and they all the kids have jobs..... could b wiping down tables/sweeping floors, feeding gold fish/ watering the plant..... all real life stuff . Screen free Challenge...... no screens in the class rooms- kids read books and turn pages- and parents are encouraged to keep their kids off screens of any kind Mon-Fri..... try that at public schools. I love the egalitarianism of uniforms- there is no status based on what u buy- they are all in the same stuff-now on to 2020 because pandemic response is an important residue of the philosophical approach to raising kids.during the mandatory shutdown- the school was up right away with lesson plans- zoom calls and interaction between teachers/parents.... after the summer - they opened right up w protocols they believed were safe 4 the kids/teachers (not a single case of spread w/in the school)...... kids were n school interacting w other kids, masked if parents preferred, but not forced..... n the midst of this crazy time. MA has been the thread of normalcy in our childs year, priceless 2 us- and we are forever grateful for the respite from chaos mitigating the hysteria of the times in which we liveevery Fri- parents coffee at drop/off.... awesome to meet other parents!!sorry da prince type... ran out of characters

Recently I have had opportunities to share my childrens early educational experience with multiple families. Each family was in search of something different and better for their childrens educational journey. It was an absolute pleasure to share the experience of my own children at the Montessori Academy. We were part of the MA community for 9 years. In that time, my children gained a sense of independence and developed a desire and love for learning. The freedom to gravitate toward those things which sparked their interest, balanced with the challenge to explore those things which were unknown are what made this experience both unique and successful - all in a caring, loving environment. My children emerged as independent, confident thinkers who were able to transition into a traditional classroom setting and remain top academic performers. The Montessori Academy also understands the importance of creative expression and development through art and music. They are integral pieces to the childs overall experience as a student on this campus. The educators do an amazing job helping the child ignite their spark and ensure they have access to all the tools necessary to keep the flame burning brightly so they can reach their fullest potential.

We have had both our children there for 7 years and I cant say enough about the methodology, the staff, the amazing teachers, and the community. In thinking about what the future needs are for children in the coming decades, my wife and I decided that a different educational approach was necessary. Creativity and executive skills will be paramount and Montessori Academy has a strong focus on both. The part I am most grateful for is the fact that my children love going to this school every morning and they love learning. Thank you MA.

First, I have found Montessori Academy to be a great learning environment for my children. My kids love school, they love to learn, they feel responsible for their school work and are proud of their accomplishments. Second, I have found the teachers to be top notch. We have had the pleasure of working with a number of different teachers in the nearly 5 years that we have been here. All of them are professional, caring educators. Finally, I have found the administration to be very accessible and always working to improve the school as a whole. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for more than a traditional education.

I cant express how grateful I am for the 11 years my daughter spent at Montessori Academy. Her wonderful, nurturing teachers helped her grow into the confident, motivated, independent young woman she is today. Now that she has graduated from MA and is in high school, we see the numerous benefits of her Montessori education transferred to this new environment, where she continues to thrive. As a teacher at MA, I see every day the countless benefits of Montessori education for my students. As a mom, I can say from my heart that Montessori Academy was a great gift for my daughter. I cant recommend the school highly enough!

The Montessori Academy provides a child centered environment that is driven by a desire to meet the specific educational needs of the child. Each child is able to work at a pace that supports their own developmental needs, therefore, building self-esteem and a lifelong love of learning. I love that the non-traditional approach to learning allows my child to start their day with hands-on work that they love, while also being challenged to explore and possibly master things they may not be as comfortable with trying.

The growth and development of both my children during their time at Montessori Academy has been incredible. They are studying years above their grade level and are actually EXCITED about the information they are learning. They look forward to school each morning just as much as I do because I know they are in a nurturing, academically advanced, fun and rewarding environment. And in addition to the wonderful things my children learn on a daily basis, Montessori has truly taught me how to be a better parent myself by incorporating the philosophies into our daily life at home.

If anyone is looking for an amazing school for their kids, I would first tell them to take a tour of Montessori and visit a classroom, etc. To see the Montessori approach in action is what sold us. Second, I would tell them to talk to other parents and teachers to hear about their experiences. Ive only heard awesome things from other parents and the kids all really enjoy it.

Speaking as a teacher with over 20 years of classroom experience, I could not ask for a better education for my child. The curriculum is psychologically sound, the facilities and materials are both beautiful and inspiring, and (most importantly) the teachers are nurturing, they challenge their students to grow, and they are completely committed to the Montessori method.

I did not have a good experience on this branch, the manager asked to have an interview with my child which was fine with me. They wanted my kid to go to a class without me being around him and stay there with no crying for half an hour. My little one never had an experience to be somewhere alone . We went to the interview and he did not pass the test. She gave us 2 months time to improve this issue. we did, and the result was the same after two months. They concluded that my son has socializing problem, and asked us to work on improving it more. For this reason I took my son, to other places that children were around, such as playing grounds and another daycare, where I realized that my son has little problem, if any, socializing with other kids. Therefore we decided to enroll him in the other daycare. Talking to other moms who had their children on other Montessori branches, I noticed that the interview was quite untypical and merely a decision of the board.

My wife and I toured this school and absolutely loved the approach. When it came down to numbers and cost the information printed conflicted with what the staff had conveyed as the reasoning why people who start late are charged a higher rate. I wouldnt have minded if it were more transparent as to why the cost was higher. In speaking with the head master he explained that although it might not be intuitive why the numbers didnt look the same, but that it was. In that same conversation he also mentioned that if I were having budgetary issues now that he didnt really care to deal with my budgetary issues in the future and that they dont negotiate tuition. To be clear, I wasnt trying to negotiate tuition, I was trying to pay the monthly rate that everyone who started on time was paying. Another red flag we noticed prior to the tour was that the board was made up of mainly family (a big conflict of interest). Im sure that the teachers are fabulous and most of the staff were great with our experience, however, the office manger seemed put out that I would ask her to tell me exactly how much we would pay. And the headmaster may have taken his title too seriously.

We are proud parents of our 2 elementary level children. Our older child has been going to this school for 4th year and younger one for the 3rd year. We all love the school. The Montessori Academy of Brentwood is one of the very few Montessori schools in nations which has grades up to 8th. It is an amazing school. The education is very good. Children learn everything hands on!! isnt it so amazing to learn maths hands on,like (a+b)2 and solve it on a board and understand what truly it means. I wish I had education of this kind as a child.!!!!! The primary, elementary programs and teachers are just fabulous. The team of teachers are very dedicated. we respect them from the bottom of our hearts. Very knowledgeable, compassionate and friendly. The growth that I have seen in our children is just incredible. The extracurricular activities are amazing too. Sports, music, ballet, chess, social events, field trips, picnics, !!!!! and on and on. Anytime you walk into any of the class rooms, there is absolutely no chaos. Children are busy and involved in their work!! Its a real moment to cherish seeing the children in the classroom.  Every child learns at his/her own pace. If the kid is gifted, they can keep growing further, and for a slow learning kid, the teachers will never let them fall through the crack. The teacher to student ratio is excellent, so each child gets attention. There are 2 Montessori trained teachers in each class room for the same number of children that you see at other public/private schools!!!! isnt that amazing. Diversity of children is very good..I very strongly feel that all children should experience this kind of educational program where everything is learned so much practically. I would say the energy of every child utilized very positively. The outcome is just marvelous .The founders of Google went to Montessori Schools!!To be in short, we are staying in this city mainly for the school. As a healthcare professional I very well understand how well the curriculum is designed based on how the brain develops and functions., its just amazing. I feel most of the people are not aware of such an excellent school. All in all, one of the best schools I have seen.
