The staff at Music Lab are all amazingly talented and welcoming. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking to further their love for music and education.

My daughter loves the early childhood music classes offered at Jan Williams! We highly recommend! We attended the Music with Mommy and Me class and currently attending Tunes for Toddlers. The classes are interactive, incorporating music, instruments, singing, and dancing.

All 3 of my kids have taken lessons at Jan Williams School of music for years. They started with kindermusic when they were toddlers, then they all took guitar and piano lessons when they were old enough. It is so nice for them to be able to take lessons in one place at the same time each with different teachers. One of them also enjoyed being in the theatre productions for a few years. They teachers have always done an amazing job and have been very kind to my kids. The recitals are laid back and fun too!

At the Jan Williams School of Music recitals, its as much fun watching the students perform as it is watching the enthusiastic and inspirational teachers. All of the teachers love for music and sharing that passion with their students shows in the students excellent performances.One of my favorite 2018 Christmas recital memories was seeing the young boy drumming on garbage cans (Zoom Class) along with his enthusiastic teacher to Trans Siberian Orchestras Carol of the Bells. It was exhilarating!

Both of my high school kids (one just off to college) have been taking Guitar lessons from Cesar since they started middle school..maybe even before that.Cesar is a very skilled, extremely enthusiastic, passionate music tutor we have come across. Kids love the teacher and the teachings. Very supportive, cooperative and lovable.We recommend Cesar and the school to anyone, anytime.

Our daughter has been a part of the Jan Williams School of Music and Theatre for ten years and she has loved every minute of it. She has been involved in theatre, singing and music lessons. As she has grown and developed her abilities, the Jan Williams School has played a big role. In particular, her teacher, Erin Pickering-Gutierrez, has been a big influence and a tremendous teacher. We are so thankful for her!

This is a convenient location with a good vibe. Ours have thrived in the music program. Kamber has a special gift for reading her students and knowing what kind of song would work with their voices, and she has truly been a beloved mentor. And Colleen has been carefully guiding our teen on learning how to project her voice without overtaxing her chords. These guys are incredible musicians. Highly recommend.

We have so many great things to say about our experience at Jan Williams School of Music & Theater. Cesar Montecristo is our guitar instructor and I can’t express enough how grateful I am for his expertise, endless enthusiasm, and encouragement. Our son was receiving instruction from another instructor (not at this school) but wasn’t being challenged and was bored, which led to a disinterest in guitar. I reached out to Kristi at the school and after a long conversation she suggested Cesar. It was a perfect match! Cesar awakened a new love for guitar with our son and we’re excited knowing he is not only learning so much more than he was with his previous instructor but he loves playing and being challenged each week.

How fortunate we are to have the sustained presence of Jan Williams School of Music and Theatre in Williamson County for thirty+ years. This local treasure has created opportunities for countless children and young people to explore, develop and demonstrate their musical and theatrical talents through the guidance of seasoned and dedicated teachers. Our youngest child joyfully attended an early childhood music program there that was so enriching, he later asked to take piano lessons at JWSMT. These experiences became the foundation for a lifelong avocation; at 26, he still takes great pleasure in spending hours at the piano. Thanks, Jan Williams!

I have been taking lessons for several years now, and my two teachers have both been great in their own ways. They have both helped me improve my technical and creative piano skills.

Such a warm, friendly, welcoming atmosphere among the staff, students, and families which cultivates a true sense of creativity and community! Its an honor to be a part of the team at Jan Williams School of Music.

My oldest son, who is now a sophomore in high school, started attending Kindermusik at Jan Williams School of Music when he was about 3. Ms. Jan commented at the time on his good rhthym as he bounced up and down in time to the music. Fast forward 13 years, and he is the drummer (by audtion) for his high school jazz band and has a true appreciation for all kinds of music - latin, jazz, blues, rock, classical - you name it. His love music has outlasted all his other interests through the years. What a blessing JWSM has been for our family!
