Came during open hours and doors were locked. Drove 3 hours to be here, was told over the phone theyd be open. Nope. Doors are locked and phone goes straight to answering service. Waited an hour thinking maybe they were out driving? Nobody ever showed up. Unprofessional and huge disappointment. Advice: Go somewhere else

The teacher is borderline incompetent. I recently went to the Aledo location for driving school, I attended almost every day. What I commonly noticed was that every time there was a lesson, the teacher would go on a random tangent about a kid who hung himself, or other random bs everyday instead of getting straight to the point. More recently, I took the final test and answered with the best of my ability only for the obvious questions to be counted wrong. I suppose even the teacher cant even follow the AAA test booklet we are provided. But I guess you get what you pay for, huh?Edit: I mistakenly gave this place 2 stars instead of 1

I attended this horrible driving academy 3 years ago. I decided to attend Maverick because all my friends were going here and I wanted to do my drive times with them. I went through the whole course and attended 5 out of the 7 of the drive times. On my 5th drive I mentioned to one of the drivers that I knew the lady that ran the Burleson Driving Academy. After that he called the owner of Maverick and told her all sorts of BS. They then proceeded to call me a spy and to leave immediately. They called my parents the next day and told me I could no longer attend Maverick and to go else where. My parents were furious and demanded a refund and all my paperwork and they said they would that. However when we went up there to get it they told us the paperwork was lost and they never gave us a refund. I had to completely restart my drive times and start at Burleson Driving Academy. And they welcomed me with open arms. So I DO NOT recommend Maverick. They are highly unprofessional and act very childish.

My daughter recently took the driving test with Misty. She did not pass it because nerves had gotten the best of her. Misty was so great with her she explained to her what to improve on and we rescheduled a retake with her for the following week and I am happy to say that she passed the second time.

My brother is a student here and has been trying to schedule his last few drive times, he’s called and they either don’t answer or a very unprofessional woman is rude. Also told him to delete her number and to never call again or she’d block the number. Very unprofessional! I will be letting everyone know not to go to this driving school.

My daughter has only been attending a week but she loves it. I feel very safe having her attend and ride the free shuttle. Happy to have listened to my friends recommendations.

This review is mostly for Misty Withee. After spending $70 on a driving test, my son arrives at Maverick to be turned away because we did not have the permit with a picture. Rescheduled for an additional $30. We show up and Misty looks at my son and asks for originals of his paperwork. No greeting of herself, nothing. Just a gruff demand. After he hands her his originals, she shuffles through some papers, takes a drink of her drink, walks around to the outside lobby, opens the front door and looks at my son like he is suppose to read her mind as to that it is time to go drive. They leave and I tell the lady at the front desk that she (Misty) is very rough around the edges and my son will be a little nervous taking a test with someone so rough somewhat laughing it off not to offend with my comment. Needless to say, he failed. He was in fact incredibly nervous. She was just a mean in the car as she was in the office in front of me. $100 down the drain. We went home and rescheduled for Burleson Driving one week later and he passed with a very high score. The instructor was amazing and very much someone who is not hired to intimidate teenagers so they can pocket money due to failing a test.My advise is to save your money and do NOT use Maverick and if you do choose Maverick, dont put your teen in a car with someone like Misty who is so rough around the edges with an arrogance that she is too good to even great a stranger.

7 days to learn how to drive is fantastic, an amazing deal the only catch is scheduling drive times with them, Is such a hassle to even get a spot let alone finish in 7 days, you are more likely gonna finish in a month or two then 7 days because of how much trouble you have scheduling online or trying to contact them.

After reading the bad reviews I was a little hesitant on signing my daughter up at this academy....however...I decided to contact them anyway and I am glad I did. Not only did Amber answer the phone right away but she was very helpful answering all my question...and she was very friendly! I had to call back a couple times and she answered each time only once did I have to leave a message and she called back within 10 or 15 minutes. Ignore the bad reviews they seem to be bogus! Thank you Amber for your help!

This review is for Misty Withee, and not for Maverick Driving Academy in general.........If you take your driving test at the Maverick school, go to the Aledo location!Misty Withee gave my daughter the test at the Burleson location and was rude in the EXTREME, and made her even more nervous that she already was. She was rushing her from the start, and nagging her while she was trying to take her time and be careful, like she always does when she drives. I have driven with her (my daughter) for a year now and she drives better than most the people out there, but she felt rushed and Misty said a truck had to slow down for her after she turned to make a left. She failed her and then the Maverick school gets another 20 dollars to retake the test. We then went to the Aledo location, and she passed with ease, and the gentleman there ( dont recall his name ) was very nice and made her feel at ease.

Maverick is the one, after helping 11 daughter, nieces and nephews get started in life I know from experience that after Burleson driving academy, online courses and a few others over the years Maverick is the only way I can recommend. As a small business owner and dealing with the public that these folks handle their business and do what they tell you they will do. They go out of their way to deal with any situation that may arise and Rebecca and Regi as well as owners and other staff are amazing to work with .Thank you for the blessing you are to the community, Tony Covington Handyman Remodeling

My son setup and paid for a drive time for 10:40 we got here late because of a family emergency this morning . We couldnt call because the school doesnt open until 1 but online it says noon. Needless to say its 12:01 and nobody is here weve been sitting outside this whole time. Nobody answers the phone because they arent even open. This is crazy. Why set up a time to drive if YOURE NOT EVEN OPEN AT THAT TIME?!!!!!!!
