My experience over the years of shopping here, has been tremendous. The employees are super helpful and knowledgeable. They have a great variety of guitars and musical instruments. As a musician they probably have everything you need. Its by far my favorite music store to go to. And also keep in mind they are a local store so when you support them youre supporting the local area and not a big business. I look forward to spending many years shopping there.

Great place to purchase music equipment but do NOT get your guitar repaired here.Dropped off my Wolfgang EVH to get frets reseated and the guitar setup. After getting the guitar back, the frets were not fixed and the tech instead raised the action to 2.5mm to stop the buzzing. Closer inspection showed light scratches on the surface (dirty microfiber cloth when wiped down) and deeper scratches on the headstock by careless restringing. Top it all off the Floyd was floating, a no no for an EVH with a drop D tuner.I took, the guitar back, not much he could do with the scratches but fixed the floating Floyd. He then had the audacity to name drop and said he worked for Eddie as a tech and he had a floating Floyd... sure.So again, great staff, great buying experience, bad guitar tech and never take it there to get it fixed or setup.

Its kind of hard to write this review as I purchased my first really nice electric guitar from this company before they moved to Canton and I have shopped at the Canton location on and off since the move. I have been playing guitar for over 15 years and love shopping at local music shops. However, I will not be returning to Music Farm after this experience.I dropped one of my electric guitars off to have some parts swapped out and asked that the tech take the time to level the frets as it was a new guitar that had some fret buzzing not remedied through set up. This was a simple request and is all that I wanted the tech to do. Because I was having locking tuners installed and because of the fret work to be done, I had to pay for a set up and was ok with that.When I picked my guitar up, I was sorely disappointed. First, I was charged about 30% more than Id originally been told. Second, the frets had not been touched at all and the tech said that it had only needed a set up. Again, I have been playing for over 15 years and know better. Third, the intonation was atrocious after being worked on by this tech. Fourth, I noticed that the Boveda humidification control pouch that was in the case at the time of drop off was no longer in the case. The tech told me that it was not in the case at the time of drop off and suggested that I had misplaced it. He made a bit of a production of it. These pouches are placed in all of my guitar cases and I am completely positive that the pouch was in this case.Finally, and probably even more annoying than the lack of fret work, the horrible set up, and the loss of my Boveda pouch, the tech boasted that he had fixed my pickup height. The height was very close to manufacturer specs at the time of drop off, but was slightly adjusted by myself for tonal preferences. This man completely slaughtered the pickup height, drastically imparing the tone of the guitar. Whats worse is that he also messed with the bobbins of the pickups. Now I have to spend time fixing the errors that this man enacted upon my guitar that I would have never agreed for him to do.I should have never taken this instrument to Music Farm.

Days of shopping here for me are over. Dont buy something unless your absolutely certain you will keep it. They will rake you over the coals with return fees. I picked up an item at the store....had it for maybe a week and then returned it, physically to the store. Their items are subject to a 15% restocking which is fine. To my knowledge stores have this rule in place when someone brings something back that may shows signs of use. This item still looked brand new when I returned it just as the day I picked it up. Plus....they kept the tax I paid on the item! So yeah im out over $30 on a $160 pedal. That I physically picked up and dropped back off. 0 Stars!! Bye music farm

Really nice store with a lot of good gear. I went in to have my Stratocaster operated on. I had a pickup swap from N3 to noiseless generation 4 with my s1 super switch configuration to get some more bite. They did a great job, sounds great for a reasonable price👍. Good guitar technician if anyone needs work. Fender certified guy Im sure others as well, but thats what I needed him for. Thanks guys!!!🤘

I thought this was a good place, they have a great selection the sales staff was very cool when I went in. They let me play the guitar I ended up purchasing. I brought the guitar back to have the tech get some fret buzzes tweaked and they did a great job on that as well. This morning I call in to ask about their return policy, as I am currently in a crisis with a pet and need to come up with 1200$ or im going to lose him. I was told they have a 14 day return policy (it has been 16 since I bought the guitar). Ok cool I can accept that.... will you guys buy it back as used? salesman answers no we have a lot of those in stock which is a bold faced LIE! They were the only people within 500 miles with the guitar 16 days ago and the website shows none in stock. I can accept how a business has to run, and adhere to policies. What I do not accept is lying right to my face. I will never be using them for anything again, including the 2 electric guitars, amps and full drum set I will be needing within the next 2 months. You guys lost a good customer that wouldve given you a lot of referral and repeat business. I plan on calling my buddies that I sent to you this weekend and telling them to take their business elsewhere. In the atmosphere of todays world especially being a small business I would think every transaction would be taken very seriously.

Stopped in to pick up some guitar picks and walked out with a new acoustic... The staff was very helpful and I explained to them what I was looking for and what was in my budget. They showed me a lot of options and didnt try to up sell me on something that I couldnt afford (or really need). Fantastic selection and great friendly atmosphere. My recent experience started online on Messenger asking them questions about the Boss Katana mkii 50 watt amp. They answered my questions and I was going to come down and buy it, but they suggested to check their new App and it could be cheaper with their rolling discounts during the Black Friday holiday sales. I used their App and got 14% off my amp, plus I was able to choose to pick it up in person to get it earlier than shipping would be.I went to pick up my amp, and as usual everyone there was nice and I shopped a bit before I signed for my amp and left. I have purchased several big ticket items there over the years, but they treat you just as well if all you buy is a pick and a pack of strings. Please give them a try if you want a guitar. They have a great selection of acoustics and electrics and amps for both.

Gave these guys 5 stars a year ago. Great items though at really competitive prices. I bought a $600 piece of equipment (floor model, didnt even come with a box or manual), and a year later I realize I havent been using it much so I ask them if theyd buy it back. Best they could do was $150 when the condition is the exact same as it left. When I asked about the prices they compared my item with other similar items that could be in way worse condition.Unless I need a quick pair of strings or a pick, Ill never be shopping here again, and thats the only store Ive ever felt like this about. I understand the point of a business is to make money, but when the staff seems to not even care about the customer it kinda stings.

I recently purchased a Washburn acoustic guitar from The Music Farm online, and I cant say enough good things about doing business with them. First of all, they had the model in stock that I could not find anywhere else, including all of the major online sellers. Second, they gave me a $50 Summertime Blues discount, which was completely unexpected. Last, but not least, their shipping was free, fast (two days!), and the guitar was expertly packed to prevent damage. It even arrived almost perfectly tuned. Haha! This place was TOP NOTCH, drummers check out the room in the back. So much middle/to Top end used stuff that is at a great price. Pretty good cymbol collection, everything used was at a great price!!! Jason was awesome, helped me out from start to finish and for a guitar guy was super helpful with info on the drum selection. I walked out of there with a fast crash, a ride, high hat set, a double kick, and a HUGE smile on my face.I couldnt recommend this place enough!! Ill definitely be back to look at shells!

I stopped into The Music Farm twice over the last week, looking for a new amplifier for my guitar. I initially went in because they have Mesa/Boogie advertised really big and bold on the front of the building, but there wasnt a Mesa product available for guitar in the entire store!! I decided to browse around the first day and found a few pieces of gear I wanted to look into. I returned a few days later to try a couple of amps out, which Ill admit, they were very easy going about. I had the same sales-person both times. It was very apparent that he had no idea what I was talking about or looking for, with even the simplest questions being met with blank stares. His product knowledge seemed to start and stop at Fender, and even then I doubt he knew too much. He was very nice and helped me where he could, but it was obvious that any serious questions I had were left to me to answer.I was trying to do a trade in for a Marshall 2525H Silver Jubilee (20 watt version) and they made it seem like my Diezel(in excellent condition and in a custom fitted road-case) was some super underground 1-off boutique amp that they never heard of, even though Diezel has had national distribution since the early 2000s!(way before the modern boutique market exploded) I remember drooling over them in middle school while reading Musician Friend(yes reading). It seemed like no one in the building had any clue on what I had, even though every major online retailer carries Diezel, or that a simple google shopping search would show what these amps go for! Anyone who actually knows gear would have known that they were getting the better deal, as I was in need of something much quieter for at home use. I understand that they need to make money too, so it wasnt like I was trying to be unreasonable with my offer! I was told that they couldnt find enough information on the amp to give me an offer, and to come back again when the manager is there. I think that making three trips to trade in an amp that retailed for over twice the amount of the amp I was trading for, seems like too much headache to me. They really need to find more knowledgeable employees!My advice to anyone reading this(who isnt an employee) to search everything you want to know before going in here, because chances are the sales-person youll be dealing with doesnt know anything about the very limited product lines they offer. Dont try and bring in any gear of real value(unless its so common that its idiot proof, which for me, takes away its value anyways) in for trade/sell as Im sure that even if they had taken my amp, I wouldnt have gotten what it was worth!I gave it 2-stars instead of 1 Because at least the sales-person was nice, and he really did try to make my experience a good one. I think he needs to take some free time to brush up on his product knowledge, and I feel like Music Farm needs to stop advertising Mesa(or other products) if they dont carry it. They also should take down the sign that says We Buy Anything when they wont even entertain offers on a high ticket item, simply because the inexperienced staff has never heard of it. It was seriously comical seeing the blank stares. I felt like I had lost treasure or something. Their loss, but a serious waste of my time!!In response to the response. Your employees time at your establishment is irrelevant. If he was unable to help me, he should have found someone who could. This was a bad experience of 2 visits combined! Neither time did his lack of experience come up, as I would have been much more sympathetic to that, and would have asked to speak to someone a little more versed. He didnt know much about the demo model EVH 5150 III LBXII or the Marshall 2525H. The fact that no one in the store had any clue about Diezel as a brand is shocking. Several staff members were on while I was there, why wouldnt a more experienced staff member take over a trade of that caliber? No one cares what you USED to carry, why advertise? Excuses, excuses!!

I see my other review was removed so here you go again...Bought a guitar online from them used as new mint, it was actually brand new in the box with all the foam and tape around it. Found out why it was listed that way, nonfunctioning pickup straight out of the box. They simply didnt want to replace it through warranty. I sent it back to them to fix. Get it back a week later ,plug it in and still not working. Total run around from all involved from repairmen to owner, acting like it was something did to break it. After all ,I did plug it in. (Its called sarcasm guys). Took it to 2 places near me both said the same thing..short in the pickup and had to be replaced. These were places that didnt sell pickups by the way,had no reason to lie. Enjoy my money guys,YOU EARNED IT!!

Bought a bass guitar from this store on Ebay. It was described as Brand New but when I received it the box had obviously been opened & there was no protective plastic on the tuners, pickups or pickguard (like all brand new bass guitars). I sent it back & the seller charged me $100 saying that since he could not sell the bass as Brand New again he had to charge me a $100 fee (even tho it was not mentioned in his Ebay return policy). All the while he had the exact same bass guitar relisted for sale as Brand New (same UPC# & everything). I contacted Ebay customer service & got my money back. Do not trust this Brian character!

I came in looking for a keyboard for my 4 year old who just started piano lessons. Obviously I dont want to put a ton of money into the hobby of the month for a preschooler. Jason (I think was his name) was so helpful and genuine. He didnt pressure me into making a purchase. He showed me the lowest price items and even offered to help me look online. He then politely stepped away allowing me time to browse and contemplate. He was super sweet to my little guy and gave him a sticker. Im prone to shopping online to avoid salespeople and because Im so indecisive but it was awesome to have someone who knew all the best and worst brands and was honest about what I actually needed for a very young beginner. I found a few for a lower price online but Im tempted to just spend a little more there because of the great experience and to support local business. Its great to see people who genuinely want everyone to have the opportunity to study music. Just chatting with him helped me feel better about what seems like a big investment for my kid. He reassured me that piano is a good starter instrument and that its not ridiculous to let a 4 year old explore his love of music. Even if I dont get a piano there, well be back in a few years for guitar lessons for sure!Also the store just has a great vibe. Everything is beautifully displayed and they have an amazing selection. Its definitely not what you would expect to find in the middle of belden or even by looking at the outside of the building.PS I was there when the previous reviewer was in. They were trying to sell a used guitar at the current retail price. That doesnt even make sense. No one is going to buy something if they cant resell it for a profit. Also clientele means customers. If you mean the employees were rude you used the wrong word. If you meant the other customers were rude, that has literally nothing to do with the store.

Ive had nothing but a pleasant experience here over the past few weeks. They repaired my Marshall amp, and their repair guy Jeff did very well to explain to me exactly what was wrong with it and exactly what he did (he seems to actually have a passion for his job). I also gave them a drum for the purpose of letting them find and order a new piece for it, and there was no trouble or even any charge when I backed out of getting it fixed in the end. Ive bought some cables from them that were priced well and came with a 10 year warranty, and they work fine so far.Sales staff is polite and helpful, Jeff is great. All in all a perfect experience. Definitely no regret or uneasyness about going there for my business. I recommend this place highly.

Bought a guitar and returned it withing 24 hours, having played it for less than 1 hour total, and they hit me with the classic 15% restocking fee. The owner clearly doesnt care about future business and lost two customers (myself and someone watching the situation unfold) over $78. They ended up giving me a gift card for 78$,(after getting very upset and demanding a refund for over an hour) kicked and banned me from the store, and told me I could order online and use the card there. I go to the website only to find out they dont take gift cards online. I called the store and was told I was not welcome but could send someone inside for me.I live 60 miles away and they know this as well. I am NOT going back there I am shredding that card. Very bad experience especially with a mom and pop shop open that long. However, very worth my time and money I learned a valuable life lesson: ALWAYS ASK QUESTIONS, PAY WITH A CREDIT CARD, AND BRING SOMEONE WITH YOU! Just remember if you buy ANY guitar from this place you WILL have to pay a 15% restock fee upon return. If its day 1 or day 14. They have it written on a piece of paper in a picture frame saying at their discretion expecting the customer to look at it and just not say anything about it. Wouldnt send my worst enemy here. I did call and apologize to the staff for being angry so no hard feelings towards them. However, the owner needs to know that the customer is always right.

Its funny to see how unjustly people rate something just because they were being socially awkward and dont want to admit it. Especially for a place like Music Farm. I have not once had a bad experience here. Ive bought 2 guitars, cables, strings, and a couple pedals from this place and it offers such a great environment in your search for equipment. The workers are immediately there to help you the minute you enter the door, and they all have a great knowledge of what to look for. Ive asked plenty of dumb questions, especially in my transformation from acoustic to electric, they are all musicians who understand that we have all been there. I absolutely love that they have a workbench now, Jeff did an awesome job at rewiring my epi, it was way more affordable than any other place Ive been, and he immediately started giving me cool little hacks to mess around with my sound. Thats passion. If you get a chance to talk with Brian he is the embodiment of passion. This place is the music store that translates that passion to the consumer. Purchased a microphone that wasnt compatible with my equipment & upon following the 14 day return policy I was told they would not return my mic that there was a separate return policy on the microphone! I should of been informed of such return policy & I wasnt! I would of never purchased from Music farm if I knew my merchandise could not be returned! I asked for the owner & was told the owner wouldnt be in for a few weeks & they couldnt disclose the owners name so I could contact them....shady, shady, shady & then have the nerve to upsell me! Do not purchase from here....
