This school is honestly terrible, the staff try way to hard to be funny and they often pick favorites that get off easy with anything that they do. There is definitely a bullying problem. A lot of the staff is unbearable and do noting to help. there are a few nice teachers but most of them are just mean. Most the female teachers always discriminate against the male students and often defend the girls if they are pointed out doing something wrong. there are some teachers that are really nice and actually help but they are definitely outnumbered. the the counselors are useless and dont offer any real help. after winter brake my great grandmother died and the best advice i was given was to get over it. Ive been to may schools but this was by far the worst. the school hours are terrible as well as the traffic. if you dont get in the line at 7:20 expect to be late and dont expect to be let off for it as you will still get marked as late. I had some teachers marked me absent when i was right in front of them.

I currently have a seventh grade student at Castle Rock Middle school. I am so impressed with her team of teachers. They are caring and supportive, both to my child and me. They work together as a team in their homework planning and communication. They have offered to meet with my child before and during school to provide some additional support that she needed in a couple of classes. They have gone out of their way to answer my questions and give me ideas to help her. It is clear that they understand middle schoolers; they are dedicated to helping kids through this difficult age. I believe that they are providing a comprehensive education, striving to meet the goals of a World Class Education. While there is still room for growth, I think her team of teachers are working towards these new learning targets. I highly recommend Castle Rock Middle School.

I like this school. I think it is really fun to go to. I dont dread school every time I go. I really like the band program, except for the fact that there is no jazz. I also really like the teachers. I think that learning with these teachers is really fun.

I was at this school for two years, and they were the worst of my life. The rumors and gossip are unbearable and the assignments meaningless. It was basically a filler year because we werent old enough to go to high school. The teachers did their best with a limited budget and horrible materials, but the GT program was pointless and I was constantly bored in class. My peers, however, sucked. Loud, disrespectful, and dramatic. You could tell that nobody could find it within themselves to care. The administration is where my true complaints lie. No diversity for higher OR lower level students, awful counseling department, and no discipline for the stuff that really mattered. Do yourself a favor and choose a different school.,

This school is a complete miracle. I came in not knowing anyone and instantly all these nice people made me part of the community. Im happy to say that the teachers are amazing and Im glad I went here.

This school has not been very forgiving nor pleasant. For starters, the staff does not know exactly what theyre doing. Whenever Ive had an issue with a student and have chosen to report it, the counselors do not do anything beneficial. They simply tell you we will talk to them and leave it be, often times resulting in more conflict. They only take one side of the story before placing blame on students, in some cases completely innocent ones. The curriculum is common core and contains no common sense, and often times I find my parents looking up the answers to my homework because they have no idea how to do it. Last year I had a conflict where I was stressed to the point where I didnt want to come to school. You know what the counselor told me? Not how can I help? Or what can we do to fix this? No, instead she simply told me oh, well you cant skip school, Thats not okay, etc. The traffic in the mornings is almost impossible, and many students find themselves receiving tardy passes because their parents had to wait in a long line. If you get to the school at 7:25, youll be waiting in line for as long as 10-15 minutes! Its absurd! And they still have the audacity to give you a tardy pass. Overall, this school does not know how to handle issues and calls innocent people out for their mistakes. Another thing I should mention, if you end up being blamed for bullying, the teachers are VERY unforgiving. (Especially you, science teacher... you know who you are.) They glare at you and are hard on you for no reason whatsoever. Just because the office wouldnt hear your story, everyone is out to get you, it seems. I do not recommend this school, and if youre new to the area, well, youll just have to make different arrangements. You might, dare I say, need to enroll in online or home school until a better school arises. Sorry for the inconvenience.

This school is the most involved school and amazing one at that. The teachers here actually care about your well being. The staff also makes sure that you are comfortable with your classes and your homework. The kids here are your average teenager who only cares about themselves, but what more do you expect from a school that consists of 930 kids. Not all of the kids are like that either. I have seen no physical bullying the whole two years that I have attended this school. Sure, there may be the occasional verbal tease but what more do you expect. I have been reading the reviews and most of them are snarky comments made by students who attend this school. Has it ever occurred to you commentators that maybe the reason for your academic failure while attending this school wasent the staffs fault, it was yours! So calm yourselves because you are all so lucky to be attending such a great school.

Going to school here is the meaning of HELL, this school will teach you nothing and will only put you through torture throughout the whole school year. In fact this whole district is bad, it can reach as low as -4 degrees and school will still be open, the power can be out, the floors can be cracking, the whole school will be flooded, and yes, you will still have to go to school, like I said this school is the meaning of HELL. Not only is the school itself is bad, but the teachers are the actual embodiment of Satan, they have no respect to others, they give unnecessary amounts of homework and they plan HUGE assignments back to back. The whole district is terrible there will be like a foot or two of snow and then they just say all schools open cause the snow is gonna melt fast? How do you know its going to melt fast? Usually when it snows its pretty cold the next day cause all the snow. Ridiculous, we haven’t had a snow day this whole year and it just makes me mad. It’s dumb.

Okay so I will say this right now, I originally had a one star review and I was honest about the school, I said it sucked (because it does, Ill tell you why later) and I was called down to the office and the principal told me to take it down. Why? Do you want people to not know that the teachers choose favorites? Do you not want to know that the staff does literally nothing about bullying? Do they not want you to know that the school food tastes like cardboard dipped in salt and left to dry inside your grandparents drawer for 5 years?Anyway the reason Im giving it a bad review is because I went there for my eighth grade and it was ok starting out but the further into the year I got the worse it became, the teachers started choosing favorites and if you werent a favorite then kiss your grades goodbye. I actually remember one of my teachers ripping my assignments up and throwing them away in front of me because they were Unreadable, like what do you want me to do? That had happened a few times with other teachers too, and also the teachers will NEVER listen to you, I remember getting in trouble all the time for literally no reason at all, I remember one time my mother had called me because she was picking me up early from school, but I guess that when your phone buzzes too loud you get a referral. Or when you flip a water bottle then put it away then find water on the floor because another kid had thrown water everywhere thats also worthy of a referral (on your part, not the other kids).Another thing is I had this one teacher (I wont say her name) who hated me from the start, I came into class the first day and she just started yelling at me because I was Sitting badly, this specific teacher had sworn multiple times in her class in front of everybody for no reason at all too. Anyway throughout the year I was turning my assignments in on time, doing well on them and nothing was going wrong. But one day when we were assigned a new assignment I paired up with a friend of mine who I knew since the beginning of the semester, he didnt do much on the project and one day he just stopped coming in, I had to finish the rest of the project by myself so of course it wasnt going to be as good as the rest of my work in that class. So what this teacher decided to do is make me work on every project by myself for the rest of the year, also I was given a seat in the front so I wouldnt talk to anyone, I wasnt allowed to listen to music, I wasnt allowed to leave my seat for the whole class, I wasnt allowed to use any of the stuff to help us make our projects, and I wasnt allowed to get help from the teacher. So when the teacher would ask me why I wasnt doing anything I would reply by saying I dont have access to freedom in this class so I cant get anything done, she would just reply by saying Dont talk back to me or you go to the office.Eventually I stopped replying to anything she said and I would sit, emotionless in the class, spinning my pen.Then the counseling system hadnt done much to help me either, the most they did all year is give me a pass to let me leave the class I was talking about earlier. Dont get me wrong though, the counselors were very very nice, they just didnt do anything to help me out with stuff.So in conclusion unless you can guarantee yourself to be in a friend group that will have teachers and students like you, and you bring a good lunch, I wouldnt suggest going.

I love going to this school, the teachers are awesome and I learn a lot. All the people who wrote those bad reviews are kids who dont like school in general. I highly recommend this school for its awesome staff and classes

Everyone here is very nice, and the teachers care about your well-being and academic success. They all look to better you as a person and as a student. The kids all keep to themselves, (yet some are REALLY outgoing) but will help each other out if you are struggling. The 8th graders are all really nice and will help you get around the school If you dont know where youre going, and will give you tips on whats to come in 7th grade. I really like it here, and look forward to the rest of my year. People who say this school sucks are people who didnt pay attention in class an blamed their academic and social failure on other students and teachers. This school is like when Jordan lit up the scoreboard in the Garden against the Celtics. Just plain AWESOME.

My brothers attended school here. There is a huge bullying problem that is often not addressed. We didnt get as much help as we would have liked. We requested that one of my brothers would be talked to by a counselor or something because of some mental health concerns we had, we asked multiple times and that was not addressed. Some students got in serious trouble for wearing trench coats to school. Not only is that discriminatory, but it is absolutely ridiculous and uncalled for.

Apparently asking a question one second after the teacher tell us to be quiet during class means automatic suspension.

I went to Mesa and got transported to this school, I went to this program were they would Help me out and they even didnt at all. I got transported to this school because I had depression and anxiety, the program were I was put in was very toxic, students had fights every single day, kids cause drama, and they treated us like we were mentally challenged, I was really well known at this school. The only problem was when I got the students and staff in the program following me everywhere, and this school send me to Plum Creek Acadamy and I been working so hard to get out of this program, they dont care about me or my feelings, they dont care about anyone who is in that program Im in. Castle Rock Middle school and Mesa are very toxic schools, get your district on track and stop letting other students suffer and start helping them, not sending them to mental facilitys and not helping their problems.Edit: Im a freshmen now by the way, if you send your kids to this school, or if you (The student who is reading this) are planning to go to this school, Im warning you, there will be very toxic drama, a lot of freak outs, and a lot of more drama. Honestly its a good school, all the bad review are probably just people that dont like school and blame teachers for their bad grades. You cant expect everyone there to be all sweet and nice, whatever school you go to there will be jerks deal with it.

It depends on who you are, if you are popular then you are fine but if you are mostly a loner(like me)then it is bad.This year they made it way more difficult than last year. Also there is a lot of drama because this school loves drama. I see kids get hurt sometimes, but not often, when a teacher is standing right there.I’m an 8th grader and moved here last year and started 7th grade here. If you are not stressed, sad, or mad enough, this school will give you the cherry on top of your sunday.

Sooo this school sucks. The kids there are so rude and think there all that they bully you and the school doesnt even do anything. And the teachers are okay but I hated most of them specially my math and social studies teacher. They pile so much homework on you and tell you its due the next day. My 8th grade year there sucked. I have had 5 children attend CRMS and it has been a positive experience for each of them.

This school is one of the best schools Ive ever been to. All of the teachers want you to be successful, and help you to reach your goals. The teachers interact well with the students. The staff is supportive, and the counselors personally introduce themselves. When I started here, I had one or two friends on my team. I met a lot of new friends, and the teachers helped me break out of my shell. The pods are all really friendly to each other. On my first day here, I didnt know where to go to. I asked the 8th graders, and they helped me find my next class and understand my schedule. The teachers tease the students and the students tease the teachers. This is the best place I could have started my teenager years. The electives are fun and the core classes make learning fun. I absolutely love InnoV8. There, you identify problems in society and take steps to fix it. These steps arent hypothetical, either. You actually help Castle Rock and CRMS grow. Im in 7th grade and Im glad that I have one more year here.

I am in 8th grade at this school right now. I am not the best fan of this school. The teachers here suck not all but most of them do. When I ask for help they sit next to me and say you need to this and this and they treat us all freaking babys! We are not babys we are 13 to 14 years old people! Now the bullying here is not good also. I got bullyed every single year but this one (yet). I have been out of school a lot because of it. I not saying I hate it but I dislike it. For three days in CRMS I LOVE THE SCHOOL!!

I cant even begin to describe how much of a horrible experience I had here. The teachers are great, and the classes too. There isnt too much homework, but thats not the issue. Some of the kids here, (8th graders specifically), are totally idiots. Im in 7A, but I can here the screaming and the words Deez Nutz and the teachers yelling at them from upstairs. Yep. Also, a lot of the 7th graders in this school are oblivious stoners that dont seem to understand the sentence, If you do this again, you will get suspended. In one instance there was a student that was only SUSPENDED for a semester for bringing a bag of marijuana and a B-B gun to school, along with two pocket knives. Also, shout out to my man Joey Steve Kiglias for writing an honest review as well. In conclusion I rate this school a whopping 2 stars. I did this because the teachers are real nice and the education system is great. They really just need to crackdown on these stupid idiots. (Oh, and also the security guard here Mr. Andy is awesome.)
