My daughter who is now 16yrs old has been attending CVPA since she was 3yrs old and she loves it. Ms.Janet who is the owner of the studio is one the most hardworking and caring people i know. Her students mean everything in the world to her. Im always proud to say daughter attends CVPA when i talk about her dancing.

CVPA is the best studio in town. I have never seen an owner who cares so much about her teachers, dancers and their families. My daughter has danced through several places in town. However, without any doubt, CVPA is the best. I could tell horrible stories about selfish owners at other studios in town, but I keep that to myself. Both my daughter and son take classes through CVPA. Since at least 2007I love the many classes to choose from. I love the boutique- it’s so convenient to be able to order everything we need. It just simplifies everything.COVID really taught me a lot about people. I have seen the best and worst of people. And Janet, CVPA owner, really invested so much financially, as well as mentally and time, in the safety of everyone in the studio. She has completely renovated all of the studio spaces with top of the line air filtration. She has created an outdoor studio! I really cannot believe the financial investment she has made in the health and safety of our kids. She held classes outdoors at parks for months! She continued to run the boutique out of her home when she was unable to continue at the physical location due to covid changes. Order online, pick up at her home. Seriously, it could not be more convenient. Even more convenient than Amazon lol.She has organized parades for graduating students, held excellent Zoom classes when no one could meet in person, continues to offer top of the line dance education through Zoom for those who are not ready to go in person. For in person classes there is a COVID screening & temperature check & masking. All teachers are vaccinated. This just grazes the surface of what Janet has done for our kids. She is superwoman. I don’t believe she sleeps. She is the best role model I could have ever asked for my kids. Honesty, passion, hard work, dedication, commitment, caring for community, persistence, patience— She literally embodies them all.The COVID key word for excellent educators is PIVOT. And that’s what Janet has done masterfully. We have all had to be flexible throughout COVID, and CVPA is just now opening up to in person. So things are fluctuating as classes go into the studios. For sure whichever email address is listed under registration would have received notification of a class location change.I have never seen any studio, or really most businesses, so on top of communicating information to studio families. The boutique prices are normal, nothing extravagant. There are fun pieces too.I saw a complaint about no returns. Yes, due to COVID The boutique has been absolutely no returns and Janet has always been clear about that. I’m not sure what the single negative reviewer is talking about- I feel that there is something lost in translation. How can you rate a business so low, when you haven’t even participated yet? If I haven’t heard from a business by phone, I would send an email. Sometimes communications get lost. Who knows what happened- why assume the worst?Honestly, Janet is an incredible woman who has created a world-class dance studio.I am so proud to be part of the CVPA family.

Terrible terrible business.First, it took me 5 unreturned messages to get initial info on joining a class. The owner was not friendly upon initial phone call. I had trouble hearing her over the phone and she told me I dont know what to tell you Really??On the 18th of May we finally got my 4 yo fitted for shoes. We went up to owners house and tried on shoes on the front porch which was odd in itself. I think the studio would be more of an appropriate instead of being cold at 830 in the morning on a front porch, but anyhow.... We confirmed schedule, location and times . Class was going to begin the next day.On the 19th of May LESS than 24 hrs of purchasing two pairs of shoes, I walk over to the Somerset Studio where class had been confirmed. I had just had surgery but we live in walking distance . So using my walker I walked my 3 kids over to the studio. Spoke to Kim who told me class had moved to the other studio. Frustrated, I explained we had just confirmed everything the previous day with Janet, and the whole point in registering was because it was within walking distance to my house. Finally, I handed Kim the 2 very expensive pairs of shoes I was required to buy and told her forget it just refund the shoes. She goes back and speaks with Janet from the doorway, comes back and says we cant refund merchandise ARE YOU KIDDING ME??????I asked why Janet couldnt even come outside and talk to me. So she goes and gets Janet who begins asking meHow long will you be using a walker? Cant you just take her to the other studio? Will you not be driving permanently?Very rude, and not any of her business. Especially considering she had confirmed all class details less than 24 hrs before. She tells me class location had just changed that very week. However she failed to tell us. Had she have let us know we wouldnt have bothered to enroll her.My daughter begins crying at this point because she was expecting to dance. Janet tells me I will figure something out I have your number, I will call you my daughter cried the whole walk back home carrying her shoes .A whole week later no one has contacted us. I finally called yesterday on the 26 of May 2021. Kim tells me to call around the mid of June because they are preparing for a recital.I AM LIVID. Completely unprofessional and rude. Now I have a pair useless tap and ballet shoes that they refuse to return , and even worse a devastated little girl.I do not recommend this studio at ALL! I am so very disappointed . I am all about local business, but i shouldnt have to track them down to make things right and I certainly shouldnt have a heartbroken little girl waiting to dance until mid june.If anyone needs shoes i am happy to donate them. This place is dishonest and I would never go back

My daughter attended this dance studio for 5 years. Then I had two children attending this dance school. My daughter Christina took Jazz, Ballet and Tap. She went to competition in Sacramento and it was awesome. This studio is very professional and I highly recommend this facility for anyone looking for dance from beginner or advance. I give this studio 10 STARS!!

My daughter takes beginning / intro classes at the center street location. Miss Jessica and Miss Sophia are amazing instructors. You can tell when someone has a gift in dealing with children. These two have that gift. They interact very well with all of the children they instruct. They are very patient, pleasant and skilled teachers. This is a great choice if you want to get your child involved in dance.

CVPA has 3 studios and 1 boutique. They ONLY teach dance & classes which range from toddlers to seniors. (I think private dance lessons are available, too. Same w/small group.) For some young people, they have dance camps (like daycare but w/dance lessons), stretch and conditioning, and tumbling camps and classes. They also have workshops from guest teachers.Performances wouldnt be at the studios, Id think. I think they perform at the Center for the Arts.I like SweetPea whos Janet (the director and tap teacher)s dog. Sometimes, SweetPea isnt nice though. :( It was funny that she barked at a mailman. Petting her is nice and dogs in sweaters amuse me.Adult classes dont have a dress code, so thats good. Somersets the main location and it has 2 rooms. Their Boutique is full of Target-priced items. I wouldve thought itd be like Macys or Nordstroms
