Ive been dancing here since I was 3 and honestly its the best thing Ive ever done. Everyone just makes you feel like family and you feel like you fit the moment you step foot in the studio. The amount of improvement over the years of me dancing is so surreal. I couldnt have done it without the teachers and the wonderful students encouraging me to continue. If you live in Dayton and your looking for a studio to dance in this one is the best. The experience is just amazing!!

We joined the South Dayton family just over five years ago and have greatly enjoyed our experience, to date! The school is professionally managed and is producing not only incredibly accomplished dancers, but also self-assured, empowered individuals! Our daughters have learned SO much from the talented, dedicated, and student-centered instructors! South Dayton is a classy, friendly studio that has honestly become our daughters home away from home. So thankful for the past five years and looking forward to many more!

We have been a part of the South Dayton dance family for the past six years. Our daughter continues to grow, learn, and develop her talent so far beyond what we had hoped. The teachers push the dancers to be their best. The classes are challenging and inspiring. There are plenty of performance opportunities and chances for the dancers to make lifelong friends. We really think of South Dayton as our dance home.

South dayton has made a huge impact on my life teaching me to become not only a good dancer but a great person. They have a variety of classes so that everyone can find something that suits you. The faculty is great and encouraging to each student. I have formed relationships with the teachers and other dancers that I know will last a lifetime. I have dedicated 12 years to this studio and I dont regret one moment of it.

We have had an amazing experience with South Dayton School of Dance for the last 5 years. Both of my daughters have grown tremendously as dancers: in skill, coordination, focus, and most importantly character. The staff is warm, welcoming and enthusiastic. They do an excellent job at fostering dancers with proper technique and showing their own passion for the art in their classrooms.

My daughter has taken dance classes here for 6 years. All of the teachers are amazing and really care for their students! I am so thankful to have found this studio! Its her home away from home.

I have danced here both as a child and when I am older. It has been quite an incredible experience for me, by making the most memorable bonds with both teachers and friends. It is great fun and I would highly suggest attending classes here.

When it was time for me to find a dance school for my daughter, Kim, I decided that I wanted her to have the best classical training that I could find within driving distance of my Centerville home. Thats why I chose S. Dayton School of Dance. It definitely was the right choice for us!

I began dancing at South Dayton School of Dance at the age four, and continued through their dance program until I graduated high school. I spent six years as a member of their company, South Dayton Dance Theatre. Throughout my time there I was given the opportunity to learn a variety of styles, and gain a solid dance foundation for my future. I also choreographed a work for the first company that was then taken to Regionals Dance America in Montreal. They prepare you for a life of teaching, choreographing, and dancing in a higher education or a professional setting, but in addition to that they prepare you for life. Your child learns time management, networking, trust, respect, and so much more. South Dayton is not just a place that your kid comes to dance and then comes home and forgets about it until next class. While there they will build friendships that last a lifetime. I am now 22 and just graduated with a BFA in dance, and I still come back to my South Dayton family and take or teach classes. Its hard to find a studio with so much invested in its kids. At South Dayton it isnt about who will win competitions, its about creating beautiful artists and good people.

My daughter danced with SDSD for 15 years and was a part of their pre-professional company and now is in college pursuing a degree in dance. Her training was excellent. She had dedicated, caring teachers who had real world dance experience. She was challenged to continually improve her abilities and given ample opportunities to perform. However, even more important, it built her confidence and self esteem as well as gave her grace and poise.

South Dayton School of Dance is a wonderful dance school!My daughter is 11 years old and has been dancing for 7 years. She has been attending SDSD for 3 years. The instructors are very knowledgeable, truly care about the dancers and strive to help them accomplish their goals.Every year the dance school and company put on a professional-like Nutcracker production. This is a wonderful experience for any serious minded dancer.The Nutcracker production can not only be compared to the local professional companies production,  but in my opinion, is even better!I am so grateful that we found SDSD and look forward to all that the future will bring my daughter and her dancing career with the knowledge and instruction that she has received while attending this wonderful school!!!

I danced at South Dayton School of Dance and was a South Dayton Dance Theater company member for about 9 years. I loved the variety of classes, performance opportunities, dedicated teachers, excellent instruction and the motivating atmosphere that inspires students to express themselves through movement.

Ive danced at SDDT from the age of 3 through my senior year of high school. I loved my experience, from taking a variety of different classes, such as ballet, jazz, tap, pointe, modern, to eventually being able to join their company and teach classes of my own. The opportunities and exposure to different teachers, master classes, and ballet festivals was incredibly beneficial. Not only did I gain technique from SDSD, I also gained friendships and skills, such as time management and organization, that will last a life time. The staff is very friendly, and it has been nice being able to come back and chat with staff that have known me since I was little. I would definitely recommend coming here for a great dance education.

My daughter had a wonderful first year at SDSD last year and she is so excited to be returning this fall! The teachers here are wonderful!

My daughter attended SDSD for 2 years and absolutely loved it. What an amazing group of teachers. They are passionate about ballet and embraced my daughter from the start. Ive seen so much growth in her dance techniqies since she started. We enjoyed the friendly warm environment and she connected with many of the girls there. We will miss the folks and the beautiful artistic expression at SDSD.

A place to learn dance, all styles. Not just the movement, but the vocabulary, proper placement and history. A place to participate in performances, including the full-length, staged Nutcracker ballet. More importantly, a place to learn grit, determination, persistence, time management, concentration, poise, how to handle critiques with grace and how to cheer for others. It was my daughters second home for nine years, seven of which were in the SDDT company. She learned dance skills that have taken her to college for her BFA and life skills that will stay with her always!

We love South Dayton! Our daughter thrives under the talented teaching staff and happily calls SDSD/SDDT her second home.

I started dancing at the South Dayton School of Dance at 3 years old and continued in the school and eventually the pre professional company until I graduated high school. SDSD offered me a one of a kind dance education in ballet, modern, jazz, and tap technique but also equipped me with life skills such as time management, organization, and professionalism. If you are looking for classical training and an amazing experience you really need to go to this studio!!In addition to technique and skills the faculty allowed us as dancers to develop our artistry through their choreography and the choreography of the amazing guest teachers and choreographers they bring in.Not only did SDSD/SDDT provide me with amazing skills, they also gave me unimaginable opportunities in the form of training me to be a demonstrator and eventually a teacher, going to ballet festivals, and even giving me the opportunity to choreograph a full length work on my peers.Lastly the faculty and staff are some of them most humble and giving people I have ever met. They are always excited to be there and enthusiastic in every situation! I would never have become a career dance teacher and choreographer without the support and encouragement from every single teacher at SDSD!
