These people have come through for me multiple times. Not only do they get the job done, they fix your instrument quickly, personally, and adequately. Your guitar doesn’t just sit on a wall waiting to be fixed for two weeks, they fix it fast. I would recommend this place over guitar center any day of the week.

I have been a customer at Brindleys for years. Always a pleasure. Bruce has worked on my guitars before, and does a fantastic job. You will NOT get a condescending attitude or an ego at this shop, you are treated with respect regardless of your skill level or experience. They answer your questions, they follow up, and they do very quality work. I highly recommend them for all music sales/repairs.

I built myself a bass guitar from scratch and had Bruce help me with the setup of the bridge and neck adjustments. Bruce and his son are very kind, and knowledgeable. They both go the extra mile to help you and if they don’t know the answer to a question, they’ll tell you, instead of making up an answer. They’re a family owned business and you can tell that they put a lot of effort into making their customers feel welcome. Do yourself a favor and skip over guitar center and come to Brinkley’s. You’ll be happy you did.

Absolutely the best customer service. Glad to see this local music store, which has been a staple in chandler, managed to not only survive, but remain open during the shutdowns last year. Will always support and bring my business for all my music needs to Bruce at Brindley’s Music Center.

I usually can’t be bothered with reviews, I believe this is my first ever, but Brindley’s deserves it. I was in the market for a new bass last year. Found this store while browsing various sites for local pickup, went and bought the bass, and it has been my go to store since then. The staff is friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They’re patient if you have questions. I’ve never been pressured to purchase anything. I was also told any guitar purchased there comes with a free setup, you simply pay for the strings. Since then, Bruce has setup five of my guitars (two for free because I purchased them from Brindley’s), as well as repaired several, and has done a fantastic job every time. All work is guaranteed in case you encounter an issue, but I haven’t had to use that yet and doubt I will. A quality establishment on all levels.

My son wanted to buy from a local shop. He spent $400 of his own money on a used guitar, new amp and cord. The cord tip broke off in the amp input 3 weeks after purchase ruining the cord and amp. My son attempted to get a replacement with his receipt in hand and was told he would need to pay for the repair of the amp. When I called and spoke to the owner Bruce I encountered an arrogant and condescending man with little to no concern for the customer. Instead he proceeded to blame my son for the faulty cord and infer that the damage was caused by something he did. Mind you he has played on entry level equipment for years and never had a single issue. We also had an independent professional agree that the cord was faulty and caused the damage to the amp input. Regardless Bruce repeatedly told me something was fishy, that 2 plus 2 told him something else happened, that he had been in business for 43 years and I didnt know anything and took the Lords name in vain time after time during our conversation. When I told him it was unfortunate that he wouldnt correct the issue he told me I would be blackmailing him if a bad review was left. Sorry Bruce but their were no threats made, only a customer wanting others not to have their hard earned money thrown away. Be a professional. Based on some of the other reviews I have looked at it appears we are not the first, second or even third customers treated this way. When he continued to argue and obsess that he would dispute a review and it was apparent nothing else mattered I hung up. No amount of logic would change this mans mind. Fortunately we know the truth and he can convince himself otherwise all he wants. Their are plenty of local shops lile Milanos and corporate shops like Guitar Center who appreciate the business and know the value of a loyal customer!

I’ve been into Brindley’s a few times in the past and the staff is always friendly and helpful. For example, today I went in there with two pieces of gear looking for a specific cable to connect the two and although they didn’t have it (understandably, it’s a weird one), Bruce told me exactly what I needed and even wrote down what to get and where to get it. Customer service is so important in a business and Brindley’s is not only more than happy to serve their customers, they are knowledgeable too. Also, I love the store setup! Very easy on the eyes, plenty of room and very clean. Thanks for being awesome guys. Five stars easy!-Dom

I normally use another shop closer to my home. Due to a backlog of 2 weeks at my normal shop I did some quick searching to find a shop that was still close to home that did not have a 2 week backlog. I called the shop and was impressed both by the backlog being more reasonable and by their knowledge as my instrument is a mandolin and is a little less common. They did a great job doing the repair and provided some great advice on humidifying my instrument which I had not been adequately doing. I really appreciated the personal touch and you have definitely earned a new customer.

I had heard so many good things about this place from other musicians, so my S/O and I decided to try it out. We needed our guitars set up, mine electric, hers acoustic. When we brought the guitars in, we were given a sort of turned up nose treatment when we revealed our guitars. Mine a Purple Paul Reed Smith Custom 24, and hers an older blue Ibanez acoustic. Granted our guitars werent the most expensive, but we both loved them dearly (Mine was an anniversary present from her, and hers was her first guitar ever). I explained to the gentleman behind the counter what was going on with my guitar (Dead fret on the high E, also needing a full set up, action lowered, set up with 10s.). My S/O explained that hers needed a set up as well. We handed over our guitars, and left with confidence.A few days later we picked our guitars up, and went home to check them out. It. Was. Terrible. They raised the action on my PRS so high that it was almost unplayable, and the gentleman who did the set up said that he did so to get rid of the aforementioned dead fret, even though I gave express permission to do whatever was necessary to solve the issue while keeping the action LOW. That could have meant a level, crown, polish, replacement etc. Anything to keep the action low. My girlfriends acoustic buzzed so terribly on every single fret on the top three strings after we took it in, she has resorted to buying a brand new acoustic, because this place left hers unplayable. Now most people might say well if they messed up, take it back and have them fix it but believe me when I say that when we saw the condition of our instruments, I would NEVER trust them in the hands of this place again. I really wanted to like this place, but after the treatment we and our instruments received, well go elsewhere. Please stay away for your own good.

First off, I want to be upfront, I intended to rent a bell kit form this store for my 5th grade daughter. I didnt get that far, so I think its only fair to disclose, this review is entirely based on my first impression.Friday I spoke to a woman on the phone who was very helpful. I ended up reserving the bell kit online to pick up at the store on Saturday. Ill admit I never checked their closing time and I, unfortunately, arrived in their parking lot on Saturday at 5:03PM. They closed at 5:00PM. I have my very excited 5th grader in the car, so I thought, Im not going to give up, yet. There were customers still exiting the store. I grabbed the door and went in as one of them exited. I went to the checkout counter where I explained my situation briefly to the man still checking customers out. He made it seem like it was something they could possibly do, until a woman walked up and immediately shut it down. She explained they could not check me out today and I would have to come back on Monday when they opened at 10:00AM. Again, I want to be clear, it was my fault for being late. They had already closed. I completely understand why they shouldnt have to help me out, but they were clearly still checking people out, so the registers werent closed. All Im saying is, how nice would that have been if they did help. It would have been a really nice gesture that could have gone a long way. I still have two more kids coming up behind my 5th grader that will most likely want to be in their 5th grade band, too. Plus, Im a mom and moms talk. I would have definitely spread the word about a place that went out of their way to help me. Its a shame. Im all about supporting family owned businesses. They are usually the ones that make these types of exceptions for people.

Expensive and poor service. took my beautiful holton Bb trumpet their to have the 2nd valve slide replaced. it is a standard mass produced turmpet, ans WAS worth about $650. it was beautiful with a sparkeling finish. they lost my order and it took 3 weeks when I called them to inquire about it. i was told $40 to fix the slide (found out later that part only cost $15) and it would take a week. they chem washed it, wich i said to not do and it RUINED my trumpet. it looks like crap, their is 3 dents in my bell where their werent any before and after i called at the 3 week point it still took another 2 for them to get around to fixing it. in the end, they ruined my finish, put the wroung part on, and dented my trumpet multiple times. O AND they expected me to pay $85 for it all. they chem washed it because they forgot to write down the repair needed and assumed it was a was, and they charged me for their mistake. Good at smooth talking but anyone can seem like they know what their saying. they were horrabile and unless you want to over pay and have your instrument ruined, dont go here. o and my sisted paid $1000 for a flute which was new...the saudering from when it was returned to them from the last owner broke in about a week and they repaired it wroung 3 times before they got it right where it broke again 3 days later.
