Considering the number of students and staff this school has grown to, it still possesses a family friendly atmosphere. My child has been here since kindergarten and is now in 3rd grade. Mrs. Graham has been an integral part of her and my life since she got there. Always caring and going above the call to duty. She has offered and assisted my daughter with tutoring and been a great liaison between the classroom teacher and myself. Also, Mrs. Cooper has been a blessing as well and is fair. I would like to see more stability with staff and not such a big turn over every year but as long as Mrs. Graham and Mrs. Cooper stay, at least until my child graduates, I will be okay!! :)

Cant speak for everyone but I have had experiences with some teachers and management and they truly care about helping students have experiences that will help them in the real world.Example: The IT director chose the software specifically because it is what working people use. Other schools use whichever is cheapest or easiest.

My daughter has done GREAT academically at this school! Her teacher Ms. Howard was absolutely AWESOME! Ive had CONSTANT issues with the transportation department though. Bus late, never consistently pick up or drop off on time, or answer the phone...Im currently looking to enroll her I to another Charter school.

Great school,Has some flaws but it is overall a great school that cares about your childs education. They are a great school for everybody. The staff will give your child all the information they know. I Love SCCS

I attended a job fair here today with the expectation that you would be interviewed on the spot because of course this is what happens at a job fair. Was told that they were just screening folks. You can’t screen over the phone? You can tell that the reviews about them are correct, high turn overrate and your job is based off of how much you are liked and not how you perform. School looks very beautiful, but the personality of the staff was extremely unfriendly including the principle. I went to the fair despite all the horrible reviews and high turnover and I am now wishing I just remained in bed.

The food is not always good k-2 grade food is hot and 3-8 grade food is cold. There are pest, and other certain things that shouldnt be in a school some of the teachers are bad they dont teach if they was supposed to. They kids hate the uniforms and dont want to wear them but they do have some good teachers and rules but the rest of things are bad they even have a janitor that stares at girls when they walk pass him

My daughter been there since kindergarten now she a second grader. Mrs Chambers, Mrs Patio, Mr Roberts, Mrs Walker , Mrs Coxare some of the best you will ever get. The only reason why the school only got four stars is because they need more buses and more bus stops also it take to long to get home and they leave home to early. So now mines is a car rider due to that also they need more uniform options and shoe options and more wear youre own gear day.

The only problem I have with the school is the cost of uniforms it is so expensive!!!!! I mean what if a family was struggling and really couldnt afford uniforms for there children???? The head person should really consider a cheaper option for the uniforms I spent $250 for shirts and belt 2 ties for 2 children yall gotta do better. Thank I had the money to do so but what about the single mom who dont have it like that??

I’ve had enough of Sugar Creek charter school for the last 4 years They’ve targeted my child they just recently suspended him from the bus for five days due to an unfortunate situation that happened with a fellow student at the school my child cries all weekend long I received a phone call stating my son will be suspended from the bus due to him crying uncontrollably and telling his fellow classmates what was told to him by their staff so my son was expressing his feelings by crying and the end result of that was suspension. I went up to the school to try to get to the bottom of the situation I was able to talk to transportation until Ms.Barnes arrived later and told me “ I have better things to do than sit here and talk to you about what we’ve been dealing with” this is what me and my son has been going through with Sugar Creek Charter school

I will not stop until this school is closed down. I have contacted the news, county officials, Lawyers. This school uses unfair practices to conduct business and unfair practices to terminate employees. Anquinette Marsh is the Devil and she is manipulative. I am not going to stop talking until someone has her terminated. She does not even care about the kindergarten students. I will be publishing a story about this school and her discriminatory antics.

This school is OK.... My daughter came from a charter school in NYC to this one and as expected, she was not developmentally challenged as much as I preferred, but a little more dedication at home can easily fix that. Staff has been respectful and helpful in my opinion although there hasnt been a complicated situation with my child as of yet lol. The only negative things I can say about this school are a horrible bus schedule and the chaotic beginning of the school year. Theres very little organization at this school. Attending open house is necessary to get your child on the bus from day 1, problem is Open House only caters to unemployed parents, parents that work 1st shift, or single child homes. I say that to say its only offered 1 day at 5 or 5:30pm..... God forbid a parent works 2nd shift or have other children to pick up during rush hour. And if you dont attend open house, your child will wait a minimum of 5 days to get a bus schedule. Now what working parent can afford to take off a week of work or leave work everyday early to pick up your child? My suggestion to this school would be to hold multiple open houses... at least 2 or 3 and let them all have different times so it can be accessible by all parents from all walks of life. The bus commotion going on this year is because of a new protocol.... it was much easier and better last year.

I love this school my granddaughter have been going there since kindergarten and she loves it Miss Flack and miss Slaughter and Miss Graham she loves them but now hes in the second grade and she in Miss Grahams class And miss Jordan she loves them❤💗💓💕💞💖💘😍💛💙💜💚💍💎

I put my son here after I heard so many good thing about them. My family experience was not good at all. My son was having issues focusing instead of giving me insight or resources to help him I was asked was he my only child!!!! Yes crazy right. My son was later diagnosed with ADHD and still the school had no resources to help us instead his teacher sent him to the nurse many days to lay there for hours because she didnt want to take the time to help him. The nurse is really the secretary by the way. And I later found out my son teacher was a favorite so she got away with a lot even though she not a great teacher. If your child has problems that will need additional support I dont not recommend this school.

I used to go to this school, planning on coming back hopefully. I met my bff here, all of the teachers are great!

My granddaughter is a 4th grade who has been at this school since K. This has been her year ever in any learning environment shes been in. My had a teacher (Ms.Poe) where they kept bumping heads. My daughter followed all protocols and procedure in handling the matter. Send my granddaughter an Honor Roll Student since K. came home with a 55 N reading the 1st quarter I was pisted and wanted her out then, my granddaughter reads all the time. My granddaughter reads so much that when the teacher makes her mad she reads to ignore her, if that tells you anything . My granddaughter was kicked out the class everyday for the least little thing for the 3 qtrs, til she looked forward to bring kicked out to get away from the teacher. When they finally moved her to another class, the new teacher (Ms. Anderson) didnt know she was in her class, and my daughter had to pick her up early the teacher didnt realize who she saw based on her behavior. The old teacher dog my baby out so bad the new teacher didnt even realize she was the same child. No problem since the move, until they put her back in the old teacher class for EOGs. My baby normally scores 4s and 5s, but because they put back in the old teacher room, she couldnt concentrate and score 3s and 4s. Mom and I were pisted again and is pushing for a retake. Mine you she was able to take the practice with the new teacher and score 4s and 5s. No at this point I would not recommend this school. The way kids are retaliating on schools, time like this I see why even though its wrong. Listen to children, they are little people with feeling too. Thank GOD she want be there next yr. Ms.Warren is the best reading teacher ever in 6th grade and history she teaches lots of nice things and she inspires me to be a book publisher

Ms.Wilma if that is her name in the office is the rudest person ever she has a bad attitude no children so she a I dont care attitude about everything ......I love the school just not her service she has to do better some day someone gone go off all the way behind it....I will be speaking to the director behind it she been like this the whole time I ever tried to talk to her this a new year she might need a new job til she humble her self you cant tell people when they are losing children you dont care they my just show you dont they either

My niece is a rising 3rd grader and she had a turbulent 2nd grade year due to going through more than one teacher. We were going to take her to another school for 3rd grade in fact. Her end of year ended fantastic however. Her last teacher to come into the classroom was Mrs. Graham and she went above and beyond to help my niece get ready and prepared for 3rd grade. She contacted us alomost daily to keep us informed about my niece, behaviorally and academically. Mrs. Graham even started an afterschool tutoring group which I attribute to helping my niece go beyond her reading level goal. It was evident to our family that she truly cared and wanted her students to succeed. This is the type of teacher that makes a difference and a lasting impression on a child. Mrs. Graham has promised to keep a check on my niece in 3rd grade so I am feeling good about her starting school in August. Shout ot to Mrs. Graham for ALL she did and for being such a kind and dedicated teacher!! Sugar Creek is what it is because of teachers like her!

I love this School my son has been at Sugar Creek since 2nd grade and hes now a 8th grader. My son has been a Honor Roll student since the teachers are amazing Ms Partee (gone) Mrs Brown, Mr Harris I can go on and on. As his parent I play a vital roll in his education and with the help of his teachers hes been great no school is perfect but this school is perfect for my son. I love and appreciate Sugar Creek!! Thank You!

This is a good school Ive been here since kindergarten & im now going to the 8th grade and this will be my last year. But they have really good staff & they care about our education ! Ive always had either all As or A/b Ive never ever gotten a C or below at sugar creek charter school. But they could really do better with the schools lunch. I like that we have uniforms & we have wear your own gear day sometimes. We have a lot of cool learning programs & great techniques to help us learn the best way ! I have mad love for this school & im not ashamed to say it ! ❤️

My child has been there since kindergarten and was doing great. His grades were A’s and B’s. This school year 2017-2018 2nd grade has been terrible for my child. He went from being a top student to barely making it. He’s always been a great kid and never gets in trouble. He’s actually had two yellows this school year so far. My sone told me one was for talking during breakfast and the next time he received one he told me it was for just looking around. Unbelievable!! So I contacted the school and asked to speak with his teacher (Ms. Phifer) she told me the yellow was because he was just sitting there not doing his class work and had been doing this a lot in class so she said gave him a yellow “to hopefully light a fire under his butt and get him moving”. I didn’t know how my child was doing performance wise until that day. She had never written a note home nor attempted to contact me in any way. She never asked him if there was a a reason why or if he needed help. I thought maybe he had ADHD but then remembered how well he had been doing the other years. So I asked my child if he needed extra help in which he replied yes. I contacted the school in hopes of getting him the extra help he needed and was told that they would try to set up an intervention plan to assist him but no one has contacted me about a plan since that conversation.A week later I had to question his teacher about why she had given all of the other students with less than 4 yellows for good behavior, who had earned the right to attend the “Green Team Party “ their ticket but had not given one to my son. That was on a Monday and the party was coming up that Friday. My son was very sad and knew he earned the right to attend also. So I told him to ask his teacher ( Ms.Phifer ) about his pass because maybe she just forgot. He said he told her she had forgotten to give him his ticket. I waited until that Wednesday morning to speak to her. When I asked her about it her response was that Oh it was just a joke I was playing on him”. Excuse me.. but this is not the kind of thing a teacher should be doing to any child especially a 7 year old!So I contacted the office to inform them of what the teacher told me that morning. The assistant principal stated that she would look into it and give me a call back. She called back hours later to inform me that his teacher Ms. Phifer, told her she did it because she felt it would be better for him to stay in class and do work. So the assistant principal bought her story of course but did say that my child had earned the right to attend so he would. She also stated that she knew my son was a good kid and usually does exceptionally well in school so she would look into getting him the extra help he needed. It’s been a month and still no plan of assistance. This school used to be great but it has gone down.. teachers have left and are still leaving because they fill like they can’t provide the adequate amount of help the children need due to over populated classrooms (26-30 kids per teacher) and the lack to concern shown by administration. Do your child a favor and send him/her to a better school..I will be.

They care more about uniform than your education.

I lowkey hate it there even though i been there for 7 or 8 years,how they gone take a student phone but they be having their phones out like thats wishy washy i dont care what who thinks,.........and they be flipping your cards for no reason .and they only let middle schoolers do stuff like stomp,cheerleading,basketball,cross contry,and all that stuff.it ......and the lunch they give me makes me vomit one time they gave me food with hair in it.....anyways i cant judge but sugar creek need lots of upgrades

Sugar creek needs to have different buses for the high schoolers. They do not need to be on the same bus as every one else.

My child went there and it was the worst for starters the meat that they serve is pink a Rat. Ran out of the vent before and the bus sis always late to pick up my kid star
