Great experience. They understand the fundamentals of bartending and will make sure that you are successful in your career. They are super flexible, but make sure you take the opportunity to practice, practice, practice!!! There is a speed drill and a written test.

I paid to start class months ago and still haven’t been contacted and can’t get anyone to answer the phone. All the numbers listed ALWAYS send me directly to voicemail.

I had an amazing experience here. Chrissy and Anna are very knowledgeable and savvy bartenders and they are tremendous teachers as well. The curriculum is easy to learn and there is a lot of hands on practice. I feel so much better equipped to work in the industry now that Ive completed the program. HiI took my classes from ABC on January and received my certification in January itself. I took my class for BASSET as well. But, did not receive my BASSET yet. Can you please ask the authorities that did they send my info to receive my BASSET and when will I receive it?

This class was so informational and fun! Christine and Anna are so knowledgeable on their craft and are wonderful teachers. It was equal parts learning and practicing behind the bar. They want you to succeed and are so fun to work with. Highly recommend if you are looking to get into the industry, brush up on your skills, or just for fun!

So glad I decided to go here they really gave me the knowledge, connected me to a good network, and due to them give me the information and helping obtain my Bassett I was able to secure a full-time job in the middle of the pandemic and subsequent economic crisis from it. Really great experience. Chrissy taught our class and she was patient, empathetic, funny, kind and very knowledgeable! I felt very comfortable throughout the class and had a lot of fun. The class has a written test and a practical test. Theyre both a challenge, but you can prepare at your own pace, which is great! You wont ever feel on the spot to perform during class, but you will have to work hard to pass the class. Whats great is that youll be exposed to all the equipment, stock and expectations that you will be exposed to at a real bar - it is really good training. Very satisfied with the experience and recommend to anyone looking for training as a bartender.

I must say in two weeks it felt like it was a lot to learn but the program at ABC was great! Chrissy and Laura are great instructors!! They made sure we obtained knowledge on the different liquors within the book. The test wasn’t as hard as i thought it would be. I would highly recommend taking the class at the Belmont location! I highly recommend ABC Bartending School...I took a one week course at the Belmont location, and the training was fantastic. Chrissy and Jonathan were very hands on, and not only were terrific instructors, but also continuously utilized real life examples from their many years of experience. They answered all questions, worked not only in a group setting, but gave us all of the individual instruction that we needed. In addition, B.A.S.S.E.T certification was offered with the class that I was enrolled in. I cannot speak highly enough of the professionalism that they exhibited, and I completed the course with a great level of competency and ready to start working!

I searched the web for bartending schools in Chicago and came across ABC Bartending School. Their Chicago location was right down the street from me. I gave them a call and Carol was so sweet, she answered all my questions and assured me that scheduling wouldn’t be a problem and that I just needed to work with the instructors. She was right! I work full time Tuesday-Friday and their program is usually Monday-Thursday. Chrissy was so helpful and so flexible with scheduling. I was able to complete the course, have a lot of practice behind the bar, pass the written test and speed drill and take the Basset Training all within three weeks! Look no further. ABC Bartending School is it.

I attended the one week course 9-5 and I enjoyed EVERY bug of it. The small class size, my fellow classmates, my very helpful and personable instructors, the curriculum, EVERYTHING! With Chrissy’s consistent help and demonstrations, I was able to finish in 3 days with a high score and a time that even shocked me on the speed test seeming as though I took the test a day early. THANK YOU ABC ESPECIALLY CHRISSY! You’re the best!

Loved the course. For my first time behind a bar and entering the world of legal drinking, I was provided with endless information. My instructor Chrissy was the absolute best. She gave us her personal thoughts on things, and how she has been a bar tender for over 20 years. The content of the course was helpful in getting your feet wet with new cocktails. Only wish would be if there was more information on wine, and beer, and taping of kegs. Cant wait to see how they place you with leads on different jobs. Also, would wish the basset class was in the 2 weeks instead of having to return another time. Love it!

I had an amazing experience, even though it was basically 4 days, I learned a lot and I’m happy to have come to this location. Chrissy and Jon were extremely helpful and engaging. Very personal training and learned a lot every time I came in! The class size was small, so I felt that they both demonstrated care into each student. It was a fun experience and would definitely recommend this for everyone interested.

In a nutshell, great school for training and learning how to become a bartending. The instructors are down to earth and easy to learn from. You can ask as many questions you want. This school offers B.A.S.S.E.T training. Theres a certificate after this training. This school is Nationwide. They offer refresher training for life. One of the best classes Ive ever token for bartending skills and knowledge. The location is great as well since its located right by Belmont L line. Love the teachers they actually give you heads up and follow up with over the experience they have.

At 55 Im a bit old to be learning new things and frankly felt uncomfortable learning with fellow students who were younger than some of my children but Chrissy went out of her way to make me feel comfortable and made sure that I didnt feel rushed. I didnt think I would complete the course but thanks to Chrissy I not only completed it but have suggested it to one of my sons. Furthermore in just the past month Chrissy has made remarkable improvements in the appearance and atmosphere of the Belmont school . Shes told me of her future plans to make a more realistic and comfortable bar like setting.But honestly I think shes the schools greatest asset.

ABC Bartending Schools gave me the basic knowledge and training to succeed behind a bar. I wish it could have been a little more comprehensive or a longer course, but I suppose Im just used to college classes and the amount of time they take. I definitely recommend!

I took the accelerated course and although I was initially skeptical of how preparing so little time would be, I found the the structure of the course helped immensely. Each roughly 8 hour day was comprised of mostly studying and learning through hands on practice and repetition. Meaning that by the end, muscle memory had already set in for most tasks, and a clear path forward for practice was set: get a list of drinks, and make mock ups as fast as possible without compromising quality of execution. Combine that with the informational materials and corrective advice on the handling of equipment and drink preparation and I walked out a satisfied student.

I took this course at the Belmont Ave, Chicago location. Had a great time. Crissy, Jim, and Jerry were great instructors and passed along valuable information. I feel confidant applying for bartending jobs because of this course. Thanks guys!

Just took my course at the Frankfort IL school. Just graduated today. I would have to say it was the best thing I could have ever took, It was a great learning experience, fun and lot of hands on. Jim was a great teacher and awesome person. Really teaches you what you need and plus more! In away im kinda upset that I had to leave cause of how much fun it was. Flexible hours and days. Money well spent!!!! Cant wait to get behind a bar now and start mixing some drinks!!! Hope to visit in the future :)

Everyone at ABC is very helpful and you can tell they take joy in teaching the students. Learning to bartending on your own can be expensive, difficult and time consuming. I decided to call in and I am very happy that I did. I spoke to carol who is very sweet and helpful. Christine and Jonathan are the trainers and are both great. You can tell they are happy to help you out and make sure you understand everything. You’ll get enough practice that you’ll be surprised at the amount of things you know by the time you finish the course. The best thing is you can take a refresher course at any location nationwide if you ever need to go back and brush up on your skills. If you are interested in bartending, I’d say doing it is a no brainer. You’ll learn all the ins and outs of the industry so you can get straight to work without looking like a deer in headlights. Highly recommended.

Amazing. I took the classes at the facility that was in Frankfort. It was really in-depth, my instructor was Jimbo and he was very knowledgeable. I was able to make up time for a class I missed and also when I felt like I needed some additional help. I hope my signature is still on the restroom door but ya probably got a new one since then. I would suggest anyone take the class not to mention they always help you find work.

I absolutely loved this class! Chrissy and laura are both great teachers in their own way! If you are reading this looking to join the class I will tell you when they say you get out what you put into it they mean it! Its not the type of class where they drone on for the whole day no they teach you practice, Bottom line.TAKE ADVANTAGE AND PRACTICE! I wish I had done more before the last 2 days because the test comes out of no where and almost no one was ready when we were all given sooo much time to be completely prepared! I love love loved how hands on it is as thats how I learn best! and at your own pace! 13/10 would recommend !

Great school & staff but the job placement is a lie to say thee least. I hate it when companies lie to push or sell a service or product. Im still looking and its so hard finding a gig bc everyone wants experience. So I dont think its fair to lie to us about job placement.

I was an experienced bartender attending this course and was mixed in with some newbies as well. The course was great. It offers everything a bartender needs to know to hit the ground running and making money without stumbling through any insecurities. GREAT instructors. I saw my guy, I think it was Jim, giving extra attention to anyone with questions. Theres always something new to learn. The refresher course are a bonus too as I travel back and forth to Miami working on occasion. Theres a school down in Florida as well.

Took my course at the Frankfort, IL campus. A great way to learn and a fun way to learn. Experienced instructor, comfortable/casual atmosphere, and LOTS of hands-on time creating and mixing cocktails. Highly recommend the course to anyone interested in learning the ropes of bartending.

Learned a lot in the 2 week night course. Serita T has a comment on yelp that has to be the most accurate review Ive seen. They are not going to place you in a job!!! That seems to be the most common complaint. What they do is give you leads. You have to get out and pound the placement! Go to the bars. Have a resume (even if you have no experience). Go out and put your face in the minds of the bar managers if youve applied online. Looking forward to putting all the knowledge gained from the course into effect.

I took the 2 week course in the morning I work 2nd shift it worked out great they let me leave 15 to 20 min early so that I make it to work on time both instructors are great you learn a lot from both in their own way of teaching great hands on experience I would definitely recommend it
