Absolutely incredible. My wife and I have been attending for about 6months in a row now and we cant go without it anymore. Its our date night, its our opportunity to learn, and the environment is absolutely amazing. We feel so confident in dancing now and most of all we love every second of Latin Rhythms. Marciza is soooo talented, knowledgeable and friendly. She makes this place amazing

We signed up for the wedding package to create music and choreography for our first dance. We had the pleasure of working with Blanca, who made this experience so fun for us. She kept our steps basic but also challenged us when it was fit for us. She even recommended the best shoes and outfits for us, honestly so helpful! Beautiful studio, friendly staff, couldnt of asked for a better experience.

If youve ever felt like you have 2 left feet, or there is no way you can learn how to dance(thats what I thought). Check out Latin Rhythms, Ive taken different classes with different instructors. But they share one common thing, they want to make sure you spent your money well, and actually learn. They dont want to leave anyone behind. Thank you to Maricza for all the salsa lessons so far, Blanca, and Victor as well. Thank you to Isaac and Nadia, for the Bachata lessons. Thank you to LR. For the patience and for helping me achieve my goal for 2019/2020

If you are serious about your salsa and bachata, then Latin Rhythms will help you get to the next level. Dont let the friendliness and good nature of each instructors cast any doubt on their abilities. They are all seasoned performers led by a World Champion Salsa competitor. All are very well respected in the salsa community. But the best part of the experience is meeting new people of different backgrounds and cultures to become part of a larger Chicago/Midwest salsa community. Students who aspire to perform can try out for any of the student performance teams to learn choreography and performance techniques. For others who cant commit their time to the student teams, their wildly popular Saturday socials held every 2 weeks in the studio can give each LR student a chance to practice technique in a welcoming social setting and meet other dancers from outside the studio...

My boyfriend and I came here to take the Basic Salsa 2 series (4 classes) with a Groupon, after taking an intro level class at Chicago Dance. It was nice to not have to repeat the intro level, but they do require you to come in for a 5-minute evaluation a week or two in advance (ours was a 9:30pm on a Monday - a tad inconvenient, but understandable). The studio is beautiful, and the atmosphere is very friendly, but we were both unimpressed with the instruction. We learned probably 2-3 moves over the course of 4 weeks, which felt like a painstakingly slow pace. The majority of each class was spent doing the same footwork pattern (about 5-6 moves from the previous level) over and over again. While it was helpful to learn combos and how to put moves together, this was far too much repetition; everyone in the class seemed bored after the first week. The classes were also pretty unorganized - it didnt seem like there was any thought given to what we would learn that night and how much time we would spend reviewing vs. learning new moves. The instructor demo-ed a move in week 2 that we never ended up learning, and often we would end class by cramming a new move in at the end after repeating the footwork pattern for the majority of the lesson. She usually forgot to have us rotate partners, or would have us rotate once sporadically. It was also very, very hard to hear with the music next door.Overall, the studio was nice, and people were friendly, but we were unimpressed by our particular session. We watched the end of classes before us, and it does seem like people learn to dance well and they offer a nice variety of classes, but we are hesitant to try another round of classes here given the slow pace of progression and our experience with the quality of instruction.

I came for a Dance Social and was really impressed! I’m not a dancer myself, but observed how passionate everyone seemed dancing with one another. I’d consider taking classes. 👍🏼

I love Latin Rhythms. Classes are affordable and high quality, pretty much all of the teachers are amazing, and the community of people that come to classes here is amazing. I have learned so much from my time here. I also love the socials they host on Wednesday’s and Saturday’s- it’s a great, big space and everyone is so kind and helpful. I have been coming here for classes since March and I look forward to coming here every week.

Great school to learn Latin dancing at. Lots of group classes that cover a variety of different dancing ranging from salsa on 1 to pachanga. They have dance socials every other Sat evening so you have a chance to practice your moves socially while having fun too!

I went to Latin Rhythms for five months and I have to say I was really impressed with this dance school. The instructors are VERY good with their instruction and patient. I also think the price for the classes are reasonable and they have a great schedule to fit my busy schedule. Anyone interested in learning salsa or any other latin dancing should go to this school. Another thing is that its not intimidating at all.

I started taking classes here by myself over a year ago and now not only am a stud on the dance floor, but I have a ton of friends to go dancing with any night of the week! The instructors are incredible and the classes are so much fun. Hands down, this is a great place to start dancing.

I have been taking classes at this studio for almost a year now. And while many hobbyists come and go, the core group of individuals who regularly attend this studio are true artists, with an inconceivable passion for dance arts & Latin culture, which can be witnessed at one of their socials or scheduled performances.Artistry is nurtured at Latin Rhythms . Kudos to the instructors and the supportive community they have fostered at the studio.

I recently went to Latin Rhythms Dance for a social and I was impressed with the facility, quality of dancers, and musical selection. I have gone to a half dozen socials since moving to Chicago but the one at Latin Rhythms was the best by far. People were very kind and willing to dance, the music was very unique (bachata remixes not available on spotify), and the decorations were beautiful. The only criticism I have is that the studio was quite warm but that is to be expected on a hot summer night. Definitely going back in the future!

I am currently have Julie as an instructor for Salsa 2.I also had her for Salsa 1. She is an excellent instructor and I have learned so much from her. She takes her time and does a fantastic job. She has NO PROBLEM with correcting you if a mistake is made. I was in class the day the previous reviewer showed up for a makeup class. She was extremely rude to the instructor and became frustrated because she could not keep up with the basic dance steps during the warm up exercise. ( It was apparent that she has absolutely NO DANCE experience at all). Not to mention, the heels of shoe were way to high for someone who was was not comfortable with basic steps . I personally believe that it not fair when people post a review that just isnt true. If you seriously want to learn Salsa in a friendly environment consider Latin Rhythms Dance .
