Last month I purchased the 10 class package and attended the strength and stretch class, as well as the styling and technique class. All these via zoom!!!!! What a great opportunity to train with one of the best dancers in the States, Sarah Zuccaro. Her school is in Chicago and I live in Miami, and having virtual classes gave me access to her.She provides great feedback, her knowledge in proper technique for safe stretching was helpful, and I even noticed my core strength increased. (btw my splits now are about 10% over the full ROM!!)She is very encouraging and clear in her directions especially in her technique class. I feel more control in my turns without momentum!!! So happy. Cant wait to purchase my next package and bring Chicago to my living room in Miami!

I have taken private classes with Sarah Zuccaro, the owner, and with Courtney, one of the instructors there. My experience has been great. Nice flooring, good instructors, and friendly atmosphere. I recommend this studio for all levels of dancers.

Loved my intro to salsa class with Jorge who’s possibly the most effective dance instructor I’ve ever had! He effectively blended verbal explanations, ‘I do-we do-you do’ demos and attentive feedback to create a fun & approachable learning environment that accounted for students of varied prior experience levels. He was also super patient in connecting the dots for getting the steps & styling down, which surprisingly lead the faster learning. Also he eased any awkward moments w humor and was a gentleman! So grateful for that! :) Can’t forget to mention that the rest of the Urbanity crew, especially Cassandra, were so kind, professional and extremely helpful. Would recommend 100%. :D

Best new dance studio in Chicago. Everyone is really friendly, dont hesitate to check out classes that are offered and come take a class. Also best place to learn Brazilian Zouk in the city.

I have danced at several different studios in Chicago, and the comparative quality of the instructors at Urbanity is nothing less than first-class. Sarah and Jorge are the upmost professionals. Dancing is a joy; at higher levels, it requires some extra technique to execute safely and stylishly, which they teach in spades. I take their expertise wherever I go. Its an absolute blast to learn under these masters. I hope you get to learn and dance with them as well! Highly, highly recommended!

The staff at Urbanity are professional, fun, and kind. They make learning to dance fun and easy through excellent communication skills. Love this place. The staff is also very welcoming to new comers.

We had SUCH a great experience with Urbanity! We had four of their staff members attend our fundraising gala as interactive dancers. They got the party started on the dance floor, helped us put on the brakes for speeches and live auction, and then started the party back up for the rest of the night. The dancers were prompt, present, and absolutely got our guests feeling comfortable dancing. Urbanitys interactive dancers were *exactly* what we were looking for to make this event special!

The owner is one of the best dancers Ive ever seen and was instrumental in helping me to get better at dance and really speeding up my learning. The staff is alot of fun, very friendly, and helpful. Would recommend to anyone wanting to learn to dance.

The instructor, Sara, is super friendly, and eager to teach all styles of Latin dancing. Her movements inspired me to want to learn Zouk which is a completely brand new style of dance me.

I’ve taken dance lessons at many studios over the years and this one by far has the friendliest and most caring staff. Not to mention, the location is great with ample parking and just minutes from the red line. Jasmine (one of the instructors) patiently answered all my questions and walked me through the registration process. Sarah (studio owner/instructor), made me feel very comfortable in her body movement class and gave me the personal attention I needed to learn the moves correctly and to feel comfortable doing them. She‘s a detail-oriented person but her coaching style is very calm and relaxed. I also took bachata and salsa classes with Eric, another phenomenal dancer/teacher. He saw that my bachata skills were greater than the intro class I signed up for and was able to bump me to a higher level class the following week so that I would be able to challenge myself with new moves and not get bored. I don’t know too many other studios that would do that for their students! This studio is top notch and I would highly recommend it to anyone I know.

Awesome new dance studio in Lincoln Park. Free street parking usually available. Beautiful space. Very skilled teachers are super friendly. I’ve been to other studios to learn salsa, bachata, zouk, and kizomba, and Urbanity is my favorite place of all ! Highly recommended!

This place is perfect for a night out dancing! I am taking a zouk class with Sarah Zuccaro and she makes me feel super comfortable in class even though I am completely new to this style. It is a very cool spot to dance all latin styles. I am a salsa dancer in training and would definitely go back to this spot!!

She is also the top Zouk instructor in Chicago! Her, along with her staff of accomplished master instructors, offer great classes in Zouk, Bachata, Salsa, Kizomba, Hip-Hop, etc. This is also one of the most laid back and fun dance studio environments, and I have been a student at several of them.
