I called today to ask about alternate payment the lady was rude and impatient. She over talked me and didnt seem to want to listen. How unfortunate ,I heard Mr. Harvey is a great instructor. Not feeling that comfortable with having them.

Called to ask about something they have advertised on their site regarding Adult Classes, the woman answered the phone completely oblivious to what they offer! Seemed uninterested in speaking with me to begin with! The site clearly has adult classes listed on there but I was told they no longer have those classes if that’s the case why is it still being advertised? I was willing to pay for whatever classes, but after that encounter I rather spend my money elsewhere! Maybe someone with knowledge and less years on them should answer the phones, eh

I was nervous at the beginning because I had driven before but I needed a push to get my license. I took the $280 course and it was worth it. My instructor was Dominga, she was excellent at teaching me to always look for upcoming traffic, remembering the four steps before turning, signals, and building confidence in driving. I highly recommend Dominga because she works around your schedule and helped achieve my goal to finally get my license.Thank you so much for your help!!!(:

As an adult student who hadnt driven in about a decade, I was nervous to get back behind the wheel. Dominga was my instructor and she assured me that shed give me all the tools I needed to get comfortable with driving. She worked with my busy schedule and each lesson built on the last. She was always honest with me and responded well to questions. She made sure I understood everything I needed to know for the test and got me started with good habits. Im much more alert and aware because of how she taught defensive driving. I dont think I wouldve passed the test without her. Id recommend Dominga and Illinois Driving School 10 out of 10 times!!

My friends daughter went to this driving school. Her instructors name wasDominga. She was fabulous. Very professional and patient it was the student first time. Very helpful and explained everything she needed to know in detail. Per my friends daughter she highly recommend her.My granddaughter is planning to get her driving lessons there.

The driver instructor 5stars people at the 0star the lady in the office is rude and the Office smells like an ashtray. After 9 months they still didn’t process my daughters paper work so she can get her license. I went to the DMV waited 4 1/2 hours to find out the Illinois driving school did not do my daughter paper work they said that the lady name Vicky didn’t process the papers. So I wasted a day of work and my daughter a day of school and More than 4 1/2 due to driving. This is not Professional.

Andy was great! He was an awesome instructor. I paid for the four lessons and by the second one i knew how to drive and by the time my lessons were over with a couple side lessons from my family I was able to pass my driving test. I would definitely recommend him to as many people as possible!

I had dominga as my instructor. I chose her because of lots of good reviews here about her. But unfortunately she was not patient enough for what I had expected. I would never recommend her to anyone. She was very impatient and authoritative. I told her multiple times that this is the first time I am behind the wheel. I dont know how to drive thats why I am here to learn. Im nervous and afraid. So please please be patient with me. But no, she was so rude and screamed at me for not observing and following her continuous directions. Had only 2 sessions with her and walked out of her car with tears in my eyes.

I absolutely loved this school and I got my license after the first 6hour package! My instructor was Dominga. I read reviews for this school prior to me being assigned to her and I have to say, she is NOT rude at all, she’s very accommodating, and a very detailed instructor. Scheduling was very easy with her. As far as the lessons go, she’s very up front and tells you what you’ve done wrong, but also what you’ve done right, exactly what a good instructor should be doing. She speaks with a calm tone, and gave me very valuable information that I haven’t gotten from trying to learn to drive in the past. I have anxiety and she’s the only person to make me feel completely comfortable behind the wheel, not to mention, she is pretty funny(an added perk for me)! I highly recommend this driving school and especially Dominga. I am glad I picked this school and especially grateful to have gotten a wonderful driving instructor!

Dominga is an incredible teacher. I started the 6 hour BTW adult course with 0 experience and a deep-seated fear of driving in any capacity. We broke the course up into four 1.5 hour sessions (one lesson a day). After just 2 of the lessons, I was confident and skilled enough to drive from Michigan to Chicago in the pouring rain! Dominga keeps you keen on everything that you should be watching out for while driving -- she trains you to be a defensive, safe, advanced driver. She is patient, re-assuring, and there to answer any questions you have. If you want to practice a certain skill (changing lanes was my weakness), she makes time during your lessons to practice that skill until you are confident. I cannot recommend Dominga enough. She was always early or on time to our lessons, and it was nice to learn how to drive on a Hybrid :) Big thanks to Dominga and Vickie for allowing me to hone this life-changing skill!

Awesome school to learn to drive or even just brush up on a few skills. I had Mike as an instructor, but Im sure anyone they assign you to will be great. Mike was very helpful and thorough when instructing me. He lightens the mood to make you feel calm when you first get in the car, hes very funny, and also a talented driving teacher. He will make sure youre taken care of! WORTH THE MONEY!!!

As an adult in my 30s, learning to drive for the very first time and extremely nervous, the Illinois Driving School was so helpful and I couldnt have received my drivers license without it. Dominga was very thorough and clear when it came to instructions and helped me feel more comfortable on the road.

Illinois Driving School is the best school, I have known. They will teach everything there is to know about driving and its a friendly atmosphere too and one more thing, they will tell and show u the exact rout and what to expect during the day of the road test.

This school is not very flexible with the Average 9-5 work schedule. Had to take lessons driving to work at 7:30 am to get there for 9:00 am would have preferred after 3:00 pm they hardly have availability for the days you want you have to accommodate their schedule ! I was not given enough instructions such as turning and merging or parking I think they are good at observing your driving but not instructing ! Didn’t learn much here had to ask to work on my turning and merging lanes on my 4th class I would have thought they would have had a lesson plan on what to teach at each stage of driving.Dominga was nice but I didn’t learn enough from her and took I believe 6 plus hours of instructions. Only recommend school if you already have your license! And need to just get a little additional practice or got a driving violation .Not good for first time drivers!

5 star is not enough to rate this driving school. IDS is the best school for new drivers. My deepest gratitude to Mr. Andy for teaching me safe driving and for boasting my confidence in driving. At first, i thought I can never drive but until then I realize that with a professional and knowledgeable instructor everything will be possible. Im happy to say I got my license. This is the best drivers school by far I sent my 16 year old and this school really exceeded our expectations!!! We appreciate everything you did to help our girl be comfortable on the road and highway! Amazing!!!!

Please stay off the road during rush hour if you’re going to have your students drive 15 mph below the traffic flow and speed limit. I’ve seen on multiple occasions the driving instructor flipping other drivers off when they deservedly get honked at for holding up traffic. Unprofessional and incompetent.

I didnt send my kids to this school, but I heard the owner of the school is anti-Se m itic despite the fact they have a large population around the area. Not a smart business move - especially the owner using tons of vu lgar language. I have a lot of friends with all different types of ethnic ity, and i will not support a school like that.

I had randy as my instructor. He was very helpful and build up my confidence in driving. He created a fun and informative environment for learning how to drive. I would definitely reccomend.

Omg my driver andy was amazing. I took 6 hours sessions with him. He taught me so well and he was patient. The office manager vickie is awesome woman. She help me with everything from setting up my lessons to just pearls of wisedom for living life. Thank you guys so much for this experience because I passed my driving test on my first attempt. The 6 hour course covered everything I needed to know for the written exam, and was able to get my certificate fast. Its also much more affordable than any other driving school.

I am 44 and finally I decided to get my license... Andy and Randy were my teachers and they both taught me the defensive and Offensive skills necessary to become a good driver. It took me 6 lessons and then I was able to pass the road test on the first try. I recommend the road test package because it helps to prepare you for the expectations of the SOS examiner. Thanks Andy and Randy for helping me to be a better driver. I did it 😊

I am so disappointed with this school. I read the amazing reviews and went to their website and it looked exactly what i was looking for so I called them. The person who answered the phone (a girl) told me that the teacher was going to call me back to schedule the first class. I waited 3 days and nobody called me back. I called again and the same thing happened. Anyway after calling 3 times i got finally a guy to schedule my first class, he was supposed to pick me up last Saturday at 9 am. I waited all morning and nobody showed up, they didnt even bother to call me to reschedule. At this point I am tired of calling them, they are only wasting my time. I understand things happen but at least let me know so i can find somebody else.

Andy is a great teacher and plus this school help me get my license on the first try I would recommend this school to anybody that is in need of some driving lessons.

After sending my wife to a failed school (will not mention), i sent her to this school. This school was slightly better, the instructor seemed a bit Iffy. I also dont recommend this school. I guess I shouldnt be looking for discounted schools.. My fault.

Love it! Dominga my driving instructor was awesome and great, did my sessions with her and now I got my license today with her also.

I will not blame the school, but the teacher for trying to hit on my girlfriend. Teacher was doing his errands during my gfs lessons and even that he extended the time of the lesson I dont think is right. Also the morning my girlfriend got her license He invited her to have breakfast what I see very unprofessional unless those invitations are part of the package. The teacher was 30 min late 2 or 3 times and the last, but no the least, the calls one the evening after she got her license just to check how was she doing and the next day after she got the license another call. I mean really? Is that permitted? Very unprofessional!! Mike was her teacher.

I had Dominga. She was always a hour late for the lessons and my very last lesson, the she decided to come two hours early. Im might not be the brightest or have a great memory but, I thought driving instructors will at least teach you how to hold and steer the wheel. When I went to turn the car, instead of her telling me I am turning the wheel wrong, she just started yanking the car wheel. And one area that she had me drive to had a very dirty street sign that they pointed to, and I couldnt find it. When I finally found the sign, (it was so dirty that it didnt look white to me) they made a smart ass statement that made me want to just quit the lesson altogether. I didnt pass the course, so theshe suggested to pay an additional $144 dollars to use another instructors car. Maybe you all have better luck with this school than me, but I would only suggest this school as brush up the driving skills that you already have.
