I was xtra motivated to start at mid city. Unfortunately today I had unexpected Attitude for no reason! from phillip, if you want to help good if not i make a way!! If Im not aware of myself and I’m quick to say something then it’s good that someone like me is not around a community like mid city!! Mid-City is a wonderful school. The office staff are friendly and the teachers are excellent! The teachers explain everything very well and make sure you know what you are doing. You won’t regret signing up.

This was a great experience, they worked with my crazy schedule and understood that I do have a life. Great people here no doubt! Office staffs are very helpful and friendly. Yard/Pre-Trip instructors are with good experiences and very patient. Best of all, their scheduling are very flexible and will work with students based on our time and availability.For skill test, they only teach left parallel parking, left offset parking and straight backing. I wish they also teach 90 degree backing, because it is important to have this skill in the real world. Most students get assigned two hours of driving time on scheduled date. I think many driving schools arrange only two hours per student per day so they can get more students in. It could end up taking longer (5-8 weeks+) to complete the program. I later learned there are companys out there that pay for your driving school can get students trained up in 2.5 weeks and ready for the test on the 3rd week. Of course, it maybe more stressful on that kind of tide schedule.The equipments in the yard all have some ages. Students have to learn Pre-Trip/Driving from a variety of different trucks/tralers. One thing can be sure is that once the students graduated from here, they can master what they will be handling day to day in the future with ease.Recruiters from different companies joined the class for presentation from time to time. The school doesnt have contracted company guarantee (if hireable) to hire you after graduation. Students have to research and apply jobs on their own just like any other job in the open market. Staffs were given helpful input on job hunting if you do seek their advice.Another thing thats super fun to do over the yard is rocking the truck by going thru the pot holes by the corner of the entrance. Be sure to give it a try if they are still there. ;)

Gaby is the best of the best front desk staff, she is so helpful and very kind. Chris & Hubert are awesome helping you to the end of your journey and even assisting you if you fail your text until you pass. The instructors at the yard are very knowledgeable and know how to properly teach you and correct your mistakes. Overall everything they promised me they delivered. Hand down I wouldnt choose any other school if I did it again. You will also get a good laugh from Philip this man is hilarious have to come see him.

One word, Amazing. It took me a month and a half to get my CDL. Great staff, great instructors., you wont need to go anywhere else to get your CDL (except to the secretary of state of course). They prepare you for all your exams and assist you with any questions or concerns you might have. It was worth every penny. Bottom line, if youre looking at any other schools, I highly recommend you dont and just go to Mid City Truck Driving Academy.

My experience w/ MIDCITY was very challenging had a few bumps in the road but the staff @MIDCITY helped get thru and it was 4 the better and hope that my journey @MIDCITY will make me the best driver i can be. The secretarys were very helpful w/keeping me informed on any updates & changes that were happening and the instructors were very cool also: lupe, berto, egor, arthur, and juan, chris, philip, gabby and maggie, and there were two more other guys but cant think of their names but all were very very helpful.
