First let me say Jay is amazing. I came in with semi (car) driving experience but I was super rusty and needed some hardcore practice. I booked the 8 hour lesson package initially and my first day behind the wheel was rough! But by the last lesson I was confident and at ease. I did a 1 hour lesson to practice my turns and parking. I took the driver’s test today and passed! Jay is super patient. Very knowledgeable and completely trustworthy. He has super chill vibes which made it easier for me with anxiety behind the wheel. He’s really great at explaining in detail without being confusing. He does motorcycle lessons as well. If you need a bomb a$$ driving instructor then Jay is it!

Ive had both basic and intermediate training courses through Ride Chicago. I would highly recommend both!As a new rider, the basic training was extremely useful and taught me how to operate a motorcycle and pass the state test for my M-class endorsement. After about a thousand miles in the saddle, the intermediate training helped me break some of the lazy habits Id developed, taught me things that make riding smoother and more enjoyable, and helped me gain a ton of confidence. I rode home for 45 minutes on a traffic-logged I-90 after the course and I felt more in confident and in control than Ive ever been. The instructors are absolutely the best and what make these courses! They know what theyre talking about. They will patiently explain it to you until you know it too. Theyll flag you down and offer guidance mid-ride. Theyll crack jokes that make the concepts really stick.

Just took the intermediate course today. I have a new bike and wanted to get good practice and see what the bike can do. This course did not disappoint. I feel way more confident leaning with my bike and in swerving. The instructors are kind but informative. They really care about your progress and confidence. Ride isnt just for beginners, you can always learn something new. Thanks, Ride!

Course and its instructors will comfortably ease you into the use of a bike such that youll be doing on your own within the first hour (even if you have no experience on a motorcycle).Instructors clearly explain things and set up the bike course such that you can pick up and utilize concepts with ease in a near risk free environment. This course will leave you more than capable of passing the state license exam. Would recommend without hesitation

At this point I feel like I wont need any additional lessons but after the first one Im definitely considering the intermediate class to pick up some additional tips, tricks, and good habits.I highly recommend anyone interested in riding a motorcycle take this class. I did the 2-day Basic Motorcycle Licensing Class with Kevin, Paco, and Natalie and was really pleased with the instructors, class progression, and MSF-specific testing. I have never ridden a cycle before, but I did have some intuition crossover on shifting from having driven stick.Few extra notes (specific to the beginner class):- all the bikes we used were non-sport / standards- you will never actually leave the parking lot, so dont expect to get direct traffic handling / freeway experience.

I failed the DMV motorcycle riding test. I failed the first test on my 1998 Buell. The bike was too large for the test, then, I wasted time and money renting a motor scooter, failed 2nd time. Then I went directly to Ride Chicago and signed up for the 2 hour private lesson. Instructor, Tim, ran me through the course. He told me I was ready. Two days later at their facility, not at the DMV, a DMV official tested me at Ride Chicago. I passed. Im 78 yrs. old and was due for all of my driving tests, passed all but the motorcycle riding in the DMV lot. I have been riding large motorcycles since I was 15. I cant say enough good things about Ride Chicago. If it was not for Ride Chicago, I would not be riding today.
